I had problems with the bin sensor rod falling out and the cube size kept getting smaller. They adjusted the cube size. left the cover off and returned the unit with the bin sensor rod still not fixed. I took the unit apart and fixed the bin fill sensor rod. Scotsman had left a push nut off at the factory. April 2018 The machine stopped making ice cubes and had a large chunk of ice in the cube freeze area. Appliance Dr said it was the pump. I ordered a pump. But when I took the unit apart I found a $0.01 tie band to be broken. It holds the cube size sensor in place. relocated the cube size sensor and installed a more substantial tie band. Unit now works and makes good cubes after undoing the adjustments that Appliance Dr. made in Dec 2016.

I paid that, he put the belt on and then proceeded to tell me that the bearings weren't too good either. I asked, what do you do forr that and he responded get a new washer. This was on a Thursday and on Saturday it broke again and I had to buy a new washer.I was obviously very upset because i felt that the technician knew that wasn't going to fix the washer and charged me anyways. I tried to call the shop on Monday. I left a message and they do not return my calls. I will never use them again.​ Update: Independent Appliance called me after seeing my review and they did apologize and refunded the parts and labor. I do appreciate their effort to make it right.

You pretty much missed the original point of my complaint. We called and asked for a ballpark quote on a specific part and repair. If you don't perform the service, why send someone out to claim their $150 prize? By the way, another repair service quoted $400-$500 for the repair and as a one-person job. This is half of what your tech mentioned and half the price of a new machine. I wish you well but treat customers fairly and honestly. It is more expensive finding new customers than it is to keep existing. You failed on both with this service call.

He indicated that he would have to use some screws and tape and did I know how much time and experience I have in the appliance business. We then asked what kind of time he thought it would take to do this job and he indicated about an hour or maybe 2 and that's what it cost. The inspector for my building was floored by how much was done out of code. Brad takes shortcuts, isn't honest whatsoever, has no patience, manners or decency, and he preys on his clients.
