I have never been so excited to do laundry! I only just now got my new Speed Queen TC5 delivered…read moreand installed and after an inaugural wash with sanitizer, it is chugging away on its first official wash load. Lk at the water level first off, there's ACTUAL GENUINE H2O in the tub to get my clothes clean and rinsed. . . and that's not even the deep fill option yet! A big thank you to Roger from Independent Appliance, who got me the info I needed and set it up so his colleague Greg came and installed this little gem. Both were GREAT to talk to! We truly appreciate down to earth, knowledgeable pros sharing good advice, with a great sense of humor. We'll be pleased to have these professionals service our non-Speed-Queen appliances as they break down. Highly recommend the machine itself and the folks who provided it! Thank you!!

My washer was squeaking and than the drum quit turning so I called Independant Appliance. A guy…read morecame out and said it's the belt and quoted me $192 for the visit, parts and labor. I paid that, he put the belt on and then proceeded to tell me that the bearings weren't too good either. I asked, what do you do forr that and he responded get a new washer. This was on a Thursday and on Saturday it broke again and I had to buy a new washer.I was obviously very upset because i felt that the technician knew that wasn't going to fix the washer and charged me anyways. I tried to call the shop on Monday. I left a message and they do not return my calls. I will never use them again. Update: Independent Appliance called me after seeing my review and they did apologize and refunded the parts and labor. I do appreciate their effort to make it right.

I appreciate your reply, however, this was not the way the tech explained it. He was direct in that…read moreyour company didn't want to repair it because of the work needing two men and cost could exceed the replacement of a new appliance. You pretty much missed the original point of my complaint. We called and asked for a ballpark quote on a specific part and repair. If you don't perform the service, why send someone out to claim their $150 prize? By the way, another repair service quoted $400-$500 for the repair and as a one-person job. This is half of what your tech mentioned and half the price of a new machine. I wish you well but treat customers fairly and honestly. It is more expensive finding new customers than it is to keep existing. You failed on both with this service call.

Call Mr Appliance to hook up the venting for a gas range for one our our customers…read more They came out the next day and said there would be a $150 service charge that would be applied to the repair cost. The estimate to REINSTALL the venting would be $1200.00. When we asked for a breakdown on the cost. He indicated that he would have to use some screws and tape and did I know how much time and experience I have in the appliance business. We then asked what kind of time he thought it would take to do this job and he indicated about an hour or maybe 2 and that's what it cost. He was becoming defensive because we were asking questions to have a better understanding of what was expected. This company is in the business of writing outrageous estimates for $150! I won't use them again!
