If you need an Audiologist, Dr. Heppler is THE one to go to in Las Vegas. I have been to a few different audiologists in the Vegas area over the last 20 or so odd years, and this place is by far the best. Hearing aids and your personal insurance can be a gray area with some places as far as what your final out of pocket costs will be. Advanced Audiology were great with contacting my insurance, so I will know exactly what my costs will be out of my pocket. Dr Heppler is a good doctor and I am satisfied with his knowledge, bed side manner etc. However I went in today to purchase some new speakers for my hearing aids. The two receptionists were very rude and unprofessional. They acted like I was bothering them and told me I needed to make an appointment with the doctor to purchase replacement speakers. When I make that appointment I will be sure to find out if that is really their policy. If so I will apologize for this review, but an existing patient should be able to purchase replacement parts at the front desk without an appointment to see the doctor. We read more

My husband called and made me an appt same day on Monday. The night before I was cleaning my ears and pushed wax inside causing hearing loss to my right ear. When I arrived I completed paperwork and once that was completed I was taken back to be seen. They really stick to their appointment times. I don't remember the lady's name that cleaned my right ear that day but she wasn't able to get all the wax so she recommended an over the counter that loosens up the wax so it can drain out. (Sorry I know this is too much info) She also scheduled me to go back today if the OTC didn't work. Since I didn't have insurance she said I won't charge you since your coming back Thursday, but if the OTC works just call and cancel and I could pay over the phone. I ended up coming back today and seeing Dr. Heppler. Although the drops did loosen up the wax and drain some out my ear still felt clogged.. He was able to pull a huge chuck out and my hearing is better. He didn't charge me even though I told him I didn't pay on my prior visit. I'm still in shock. Even hearing him interact with the patient before me, he really cares about helping people. read more

I went for evaluation. Dr M is very nice + conscientious. No problem with her. The office/management staff is simply useless + incompetent. Website calendar doesn't work. Address listed is incorrect. Telephone calls take forever to answer. Confirmations of appointment give wrong time + office location. No one at front desk to greet you. No sign at front desk. Tried to call Monday am twice + answering machine had incorrect phone number listed. Left message - no call back. Called several hours later + was told Dr or Heather would return call. Never happened. Perhaps they are great audiologists but what's the point if the office is so poorly managed? Going elsewhere. read more

I am a finicky consumer and require excellent vision and hearing in my job. I am also not terribly patient in a waiting room. Dr. Heppler and staff have exceeded my expectations. My appointment times have been honored within 5 minutes each visit. They were meticulous about testing my hearing and very understanding as I auditioned 2 systems ( I chose Oticon Opn1) . This all started back on December 17th 2018. I had been to the ear doctor and at 75 my hearing isn't like it use to be. I guess it was all those wild nights in the 60's at the Fillmore. Any way I had my ear tested and of course they weren't real good. So, hearing aides were in order they were going to check and see if my insurance covered or what they covered. After not hearing from them I finally called them back which should have been a clue. My insurance covered hearing aides and I went in to see what I could get. After being shown a number of hearing aides I decided on one and an impression was taken. I was told at the time it would be 3 to 4 weeks. After not hearing anything from the doctor I called and left a message. Well that one must have gone into voicemail hell because I never received a call back. To make a long story short it is now February 27th and I still don't have any hearing aides after numerous attempts trying to reach someone I did finally reach someone. I was given the lame excuse that something had gone wrong with my hearing aides and they manufacture had to remake them. I had talked to someone previously and they said they were going to call and check on my hearing aides and would call me back. Which they never did. If you need hearing aides don't try and get them from this doctor because you won't. I am supposed to be called back ( not holding my breath on that one) but I do have the results from my hearing test so if I don't get a reasonable response I just go to Anderson Audiology and get them from there. read more

Last year my husband and I noticed that we both had some difficulties hearing/understanding dialogue when we attended plays where we sat in the rear orchestra. In addition, background noises were interfering with some informal conversations. While both of us can carry out our daily activities without hearing aids, Dr Heppler outfitted us with invisible hearing aids which have enhanced our entertainment activities greatly. We have had a couple of adjustments since then and our aids have been adjusted or fixed efficiently each time. All the staff were polite and informative. I attended a free seminar back in October at Dr. Hepplers' Henderson office. Two weeks later I took the hearing test and Dr. Heppler determined that my hearing loss was significant enough to warrant hearing aids. I ordered the Oticon Ria ear canal hearing aids. Unfortunately, they weren't what I had expected, but since I had a 2 week free trial, Dr. Heppler took them back and ordered the behind the ear hearing aids instead. The moment I put them on, I could tell that they were exactly what I had envisioned. Drs Heppler, Lee and the audiologists at Advanced Audiology Institute are absolutely first class. I wanted invisible hearing aids and tried out the Lyric for about a year. Unfortunately I am in the small percentage of people for whom they did not work. I had to go into the office many times for them to be checked.
