Positional Vertigo has been an issue for me for about 20 years. Typically, I would just push through each bout until the vertigo resolved on its own. Lately however, episodes had become more frequent, and it was harder to cope and function. I needed help and was referred to Dr Weingarten. The office reached out to me after receiving the referral from my PCP, and I was offered an appointment. Easy! The staff is very friendly and caring. I knew when I was being examined that my symptoms were understood, and I was assured the Epley Maneuver would give me relief. What started as a stuffy head several months ago ended up with nerve damage in my ear. I was experiencing very loud 'whooshing' sound that impaired my hearing and would wake me up at night. I was exposed to mold four years ago, and my breathing has gotten progressively worse. In fact, I have been on oxygen for the past few months. The assumption was a lung issue; however, after visiting a pulmonologist and having multiple CT scans (lungs, thorax, sinuses, heart), my lungs and heart were deemed to be great. So, the issue seemed to be throat and/or sinus related. Like most people, I have a deviated septum. But at nearly 58 years old, I've had that my whole life. My pulmonologist noticed that my turbinates were enlarged and theorized that mold spores could be the cause. It sounded logical, since this problem arose only after the mold exposure. He suggested I go to an ENT. Enter Dr. Randall Weingarten. The doctor was very prompt, but that's the only positive thing I can say about him. He asked me a question, and apparently I took too long answering it. He kept cutting me off, not letting me tell him my story. I made the mistake of suggesting to him the other doctor's theory of mold spores, and he snapped back at me. I don't want to misquote him, but essentially he said that the other doctor should stay in his own lane. The only examination he did was to put a light up each nostril. He took a quick look at the front view of my CT scan (sinuses) and saw the deviated septum. That was it! He never asked me what medications I was on. He scribbled something on a piece of paper and told me to come back in 10 weeks. I thought he was giving me a "magic" elixir that would solve my problems; otherwise, if it weren't such an elixir, why would he be so dismissive and allow me to suffer for 10 more weeks? It turned out to be Allegra and Flonase -- two medications I have taken for allergies over the years and which have no healing effects for me. Had he asked me, I would have told him that. I would have also told him that I am currently on Singular, which has helped my allergies tremendously. Unfortunately, the breathing issues continue. I told the doctor that my pulmonologist had conducted a breathing test which suggested a possible tracheal problem. I made the mistake of telling him that the assistant who performed the test didn't seem to be very adept, so I wasn't really sure if the results were accurate. I wanted him to perform the test himself, but he suggested that I go back to the pulmonologist and demand to be retested. Maybe I'm naive, but that seems so strange to me. I thought HE was the ENT, where T stands for "throat." (By the way, he never examined my throat.) I was with the doctor for about 5 minutes. Very disappointing. It's apparent that this doctor's "bedside manner" has been highjacked by the desire to perform quick septal deviation surgeries and pharmaceutical companies' promises to pay off on carelessly-prescribed medications. Bottom line: You would do well to find someone else to help you breathe. read more

It has taken me some time to find the right words to describe my experience with Dr. Weingarten and his staff. I was referred to Dr. Weingarten's office after dental work didn't go well and chronic sinus infections over a period of two years were not treatable. From the start the doctor and his staff were more than professional, compassionate, and kind. My surgery, multiple procedures, was preformed on Dec. 1st. I feel that my procedure went smoothly and the pain was minimal. There has not been one moment where I did not feel my cares, concerns, and questions were ever dismissed. I've been a patient of Dr. WEINGARTEN for 25 years... he's simply THE BEST! He's a no nonsense doctor & quickly gets to the root of your problem. I had terrible chronic sinus issues & saw several ENTs to no avail... they couldn't find the problem. My friend referred me to Dr. WEINGARTEN and he found the problem...I had a polyp growing in my sinus cavity which prevented needed drainage thus I kept getting terrible sinus infections. He removed the polyp through an out patient surgery at St. Rose & I've never had an issue again! I am now seeing him for an ear issue I recently developed & I know he will get to the bottom of this also. His office is on Eastern Avenue & Coronado Center. There is plenty of FREE parking in back accessible off Eastern or Coronado Center. Let's be real: we live in a world that never stops, and doctors are no exception. They're always on the move, dashing from one patient to the next. But there's a difference between being busy and being careless--and unfortunately, this physcian seems to lean a little too far into the latter. Now, I don't usually write scathing reviews (I'm more of a "give people the benefit of the doubt" kind of person), but for this doctor, I'll make an exception. In my experience, his approach to medicine has been, well, less "healing hands" and more "hands off." My medical condition is little complex, requiring the insights of multiple doctors. And guess what? The general consensus from the other medical professionals concerning this particualr doctor's take on my medical condition is well... let's just say is, totally inaccurate. In simpler terms, utterly misdiagnosed! Not only that, but the man doesn't seem to listen--kind of a critical skill when you're, you know, a doctor. His demeanor? Abrasive enough to sand a wooden table. All this just doesn't stop there. Need help with insurance? Good Luck! Asking this doctor's office staff for assistance feels like asking a cat to do your taxes--confusing, frustrating, and you're probably going to get the wrong answer. Honestly, as his patient, I got the sense that this ENT would rather be doing literally anything else than helping me or other patients from what I've seen. Ultimately, if you're looking for an ENT who actually cares and is committed to getting you on the mend, do yourself a favor: find someone else. You deserve a doctor who's as invested in your health as you are. And to the kind doctor? Maybe it's time to step aside for someone who's genuinely ready to help those in need. Like many other reviews this guy is only a baseball fan and could care less about trying to help you. Abrasive attitude is a understatement. He basically sent me for some tests, did one in his office and NEVER got to a plan to help me with extreme vertigo, vomiting, and loss of balance issues. First off, I grew up with this dr and knew him as kids growing up in the same neighborhood. I went to see him a few times back in 2017 & 2018 and since there is nothing surgically that can be done I just kept seeing my Asthma/Allergy dr whom I've been seeing for 24 years. Just before the end of 2021 my Asthma/Allergy dr left his practice and I've been seeing another dr who today 2/23/22 suggested I go back to see an ENT. So I called to make an appointment since I was an established patient at one time and was told they needed to do some research before they can make an appointment and would call me back today. Misty called me back from his office and stated that I cannot come see Dr Weingarten because he is NO LONGER seeing patients who have had surgery done by other dr's. I stated to her that I've not had surgery since early 2000 which was done by the Air Force and I've seen him since. Misty again stated that the dr will not see me because I've had an operation done by another dr.??? I can't believe a guy I knew as a kid refuses to see me and this reason given is very odd. He is one of the worst Dr's I've ever been to,to test me for deep ear pain, he squeezed my face between his hands or fists, had me open my mouth and the pain was one of the worst ones I've ever had. Dr. Weingarten is every bit an expert in his field as he is an exceptional Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. I went to Dr. Weingarten for a second opinion of my condition of chronic sinusitis, and recurring sinus infections. From the first visit, I could tell he is an extremely focused doctor, and homes right in on an acceptable course of action. He scheduled me for a sinuplasty of the frontal, and sphenoid sinus. I had been through sinuplasty in the past with another doctor, but Dr. Weingarten's preparatory routine told me he had done this before, and he was going to be extremely thorough. From all the testing through the procedure, I cannot say I have ever been treated better. The office staff is outstanding, and I will be seeing Dr. Weingarten indefinitely. What a star !. I wasn't a fan of Dr Randall at all. His staff and front desk were wonderful people. But Dr Randall himself. I came in to find out why my lymph nodes were swollen. He was short with me and was in a rush. I asked him a question and his response was "I can only do one thing at a time". Like really? He rushed me off to get a Ct scan done. I came back for results and he didn't explain to me what was going on. Just said I needed to see another doctor for something else he saw. Stated "I'm just crossing the Ts and dotting the I's". I felt like he didn't even want me there and just pushed me off to another doctor with no follow up or anything. I had to ask "so is there anything wrong my nodes"? Like why should I have to ask my results? He didn't want me there and he treated me that way. My customer experience was not good here. read more

This is the first time I've ever cancelled an upcoming appointment just because of how unpleasant a doctor is but this guy has the honor of being first. I've been dealing with an entire year of being stuck at home sick with constant headaches, dizziness, muscle spasms, and extreme fatigue, and on an MRI my neurologist ordered they found a deviated septum and sinusitis, so to just eliminate it being a possible cause of certain symptoms, they referred me to this place. Making the appointment was fine, and the check in was easy. The lady behind the desk was very nice. But all that hope of a good appointment was washed away when Dr Weingarten entered the room. He was immediately blunt and seemed in a bad mood, and asked us why we were there. We begin to tell him why, explaining the neuro symptoms that were part of why we were referred, and he just tell us that he "doesn't care about any of that." We told him that Las Vegas NEUROLOGY ordered the MRIs but he misheard us as saying Las Vegas RADIOLOGY and when we clarify that, no, the MRIs were done at Steinberg, he pretty much calls us liars. The final straw was when the poor assistant tried to get the MRIs loaded on the screen for him to see. She accidentally put an MRA up instead, and he began to berate her in front of us! Asking her wtf she's doing and getting pissed off. That poor woman. The MRI photos were too overexposed so he could barely see what was happening, so he ordered a CT scan of my sinuses and prescribed an antibiotic for the sinusitis and then walked out quickly. I left just shocked at how awful he was. We will not be going back for the follow up and have already gotten a referral for another ENT. This guy was the most arrogant, condescending, and rude medical professional I've ever met. Hell, maybe the most rude person I've met period. He doesn't deserve our time and money, and he doesn't deserve yours. read more

I have been to 2 other ENT's in the past 3 years and finally I found Dr. Weingarten. The other 2 doctors performed surgery on me and the problem still existed after and they both told me that I was fine and I am over reacting about my symptoms. I went to Dr. Weingarten and he performed a surgery on me and now I am perfect! The doctor is great and actually listens to the patient. Dr. Weingarten fixed me. I was suffering from BPPV, which was causing me to be dizzy, sick to my stomach and have vertigo when I lay on my right side. The vertigo started after getting out of bed too. I suffered for about six months before going to see Dr. Weingarten. They preformed a procedure on me that put the crystal back in it's place.
