I was already working with Scott at Michigan Sandblasting and planned to have my Jeep's underbody sandblasted there. Rashid told me they could apply POR-15 afterward, so based on that I paid to have the Jeep towed down there. After it arrived, everything changed. Rashid started questioning the project and for over a week I was given the runaround. Multiple times Rashid told me he would "talk to Scott figure out a solution and call me back," but the call back never happened. Every time I followed up I got the same vague response and nothing actually moved forward. Rashid knew all of the details prior to me towing it down there. If this wasn't a job they wanted to take on, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of telling me to bring the vehicle down and spend money towing it there. It's extremely frustrating to be told something can be done, only to have the shop avoid giving a straight answer after the vehicle is already there. Very disappointing and unprofessional way to handle a customer. I wasted time and money because they couldn't simply be upfront about whether they were willing to do the work.

SCAMMER ALERT!! ‼ PLEASE READ & SHARE!!!…read more I was in an accident on the eastside when A driver blew straight through a red light and hit me on my side. I was transported to the hospital for evaluation (I am ok) and while I was at the hospital, my Pops had FRANK'S TOWING RECOVERY tow my truck. They stated they'd tow my vehicle to Wyoming St in Detroit and would contact me the following morning, which they did (contact me). I received a call from "Frank Boyd" stating he wanted to verify my number was correct before having his secretary contact me. His secretary contacted me not too long thereafter. The "secretary" by the name of Mario so happened to be the same person who towed my truck. He called and stated he was calling to collect my insurance info and mentioned Franks Towing Recovery having a collision shop. After speaking with him he did not seem legitimate so I told him I would give him a call back. I did not give him any insurance information and I also did not give him the consent to have my vehicle towed to the collision shop. Today we went to the tow yard listed on the business card and it was a vacant business/lot with no cars. We get in touch with Frank, the owner, and he stumbles over words and says he "forgot it was Halloween" and had my truck towed from Wyoming to Grand Sport Motoring & Collision in Southfield "to be safe". When we arrived to get my vehicle, a $3000 bill was presented to us. The owner stated the bill was handed to him by Frank's but also claimed the vehicle was towed to him in the middle of the night. After reading reviews, Frank's Towing Recovery & Grand Sport Motoring and Collision clearly work together to scam people and their insurance companies. I am not in any position to be scammed and I am beyond enraged. The Southfied police came up to Grand Sport Motoring and all in all, the money had to be paid in order for my truck to be retrieved! I wanted to raise awareness to prevent anyone from going through this with these two illegitimate businesses. I will post pictures to support this post. DO NOT ALLOW FRANK'S TOWING RECOVERY TO TOW YOUR VEHICLE!! Do NOT take your vehicle to GRAND SPORT MOTORING AND COLLISION either! They are all SCAMMERS !!!

I was so disappointed when the car did not start but fortunately I found the phone number on line for Close Towing . A nice guy answered the phone and told me that someone would be out in 45 minutes. They kept in touch and showed up on time . Kevin who I believe is the manger came out himself as he had promised a 45 minute wait and they kept their promise. Kevin said lets give this some time since the car has been sitting . After the car started Kevin shared valuable advise on dealing with my 12 year old car as it was shaking at 1st. I am so lucky that Kevin came right out took care of ny car and offered valuable advice . I hope not to need a Tow Truck or a jump anytime soon , but if I do , I would absolutely call Close Towing and I would ask for Kevin . It's certain that their rough handling during the towing process caused these warning lights to illuminate. I faced immediate repairs and expenses that weren't necessary before. I had to get my car inspected by a qualified mechanic to determine the extent of the damage caused by the towing and to address the warning lights. I'm disappointed that I have to deal with these issues because of the negligence of the tow agency. They must take responsibility for the damage they caused and ensure they handle vehicles more carefully in the future.

The vehicle didn't require skates to move, nor any special hook up required, there was no debris to clean up, and the service area for the facility I wanted it taken to was open when I called. He seemed very concerned about there not being anyone to issue a PO which for most major dealership is not a big deal. He advised it would be delivered Monday morning. I had some concerns so I took a photo of the truck. At 1pm on Monday I was advised by my insurance that the vehicle had not been delivered. Turns out it didn't get delivered until almost 4pm. THe bill for what would have been a 14-16 mile tow on a flatbed camed to $1400. I was advised it was due to the "weekend storage" and that the PO had been paid out by the Dealership. This is ASTRONOMICAL. I do not recommend.
