For me Dr. Scott was like finding a needle in a hay stack. He is the fourth chiropractor I have used in thirty years. My first one retired early on and the two that I tried after that made me worse, so I swore off this type of treatment. On a whim I went to the Simi Valley Street Fair and found myself in front of his booth. I never talked to him but his receptionist kept seeing me come back and asked if she could help me. I told her no that I have done chiropractic before and didn't think it would help. She asked me why I kept coming back to the booth and I told her I didn't know what that was about. I was just drawn there, can't explain it. Dr. Scott runs some great specials that go to different charities and he had one for the Cancer Society that day. I booked an appointment because I would wake up at night with numb hands and my M.D.s had me on so much pain medicine that really did very little for my intense pain. I was waiting for my Epidural that was scheduled about three months out, so I decided to get his opinion. Dr. Scott gave me an exam that was so complete , nothing like my medical doctors. I had to come back a couple of days later for his findings. When he told me I was becoming crippled and he understood the negative degree curve in my neck that my doctors said was not a problem I know he was the one to help me. I knew from that moment I was meant to work with this doctor. At that time he was one of two hundred in the world that did what he does. I knew he was the answer to my prayers. Most people do not have to put the time into treatment that I did. I told him I needed to see him five days a week and he agreed. I put 110 % into my treatment. It took me seven months to get my health back and feel like I was a teenager again. Oh, I almost forgot to cancel my Epidural, I was doing so much better after three months. My health insurance did not cover my treatment but Dr. Scott made a very reasonable and fair payment plan for me. When I told my medical doctors of the treatment I was doing they did not believe in chiropractors and didn't recommend it. I am so glad I listened to my gut. I was able to heal and move on to a healthy productive life. I even bowl in a league now. I know, if I did not meet him when I did I would be telling a different story. One of the unexpected surprises I got from this treatment also is that I now get full and don't keep eating . I have learned so much from Dr. Scott and Dr. Brock about the spine and how to take care of it. This practice wants you to feel good and tell others about them instead of treating you and never getting anywhere. They really want you to be well come in for maintenance about once a month to keep all your hard work in place once your done. This is a very no pressure practice, which I love. I use the saying a lot. "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink," I do not understand why people want to continue to suffer when they can get an exam from Dr. Scott with no pressure to use him. They will learn so much about their back and health in general. He is one of the nicest guys and always trying to help out. After you have tried the rest , buy the best. What is an educational exam worth? You will learn so much about what is going on and if he can't help you he will tell you and send you on the right road. I began my journey of a pain free life just weeks ago at Advanced Chiropractic. Referred by a friend receiving treatment & care as well. There is so much to share! I could share about the Dr.'s and Staff Team. Their down to earth personalities; humble professionalism; passion for health & wellness; 'applied' knowledge with 'lead by example' integrity. Their compassion & overall stellar human kindness.. but I won't. I could share about the very welcoming, mellow and calming atmosphere, dressed in modern decor. The natural lighting, LIVING greenery throughout; pictured sealing tiles meant to entertain and ease. While the heat therapy begins to relax your eyelids along with your fatigued, aching muscles, the rest of you has securely been placed in a comfortable vibrating (optional... highly recommend!) traction benches & chairs... but I won't. I could share about the state of the art X-Ray technology, Medical touchscreen devices, high tech flat-screens displaying True or False / Q & A educational information tools to encourage total personal health. Not to mention the current weather conditions.. but I won't. I could share about their ridiculously generous financial plans. To ensure minimal excuses providing maximum options, when making the investment in your pain free pill free life!.. but I won't. Instead. I want to share about the extremely foreign experience I have ever had when arriving and leaving a Dr.'s Office. I was seen immediately. I was treated the same day. I left without a written prescription and in better health then when I had arrived! Each person I see, including myself looks forward to coming in for that day's treatment and looks forward to coming back for the next! Seriously. The other day a little boy, maybe 2.. 3 years old. Ran! To one of the adjusting tables, got on his tummy, placed his little head into the face rest, arms to his side and just laid there quietly for his Dr. and for his treatment. What a pro! WOW! Advanced Chiropractic treats the CAUSE of pain. NOT the symptom. There are NO quick fixes. ONLY long term healing. It is a PARTNERSHIP. Advanced Chiropractic and YOU. Though this journey may take time, perseverance and new disciplines, I am filled with HOPE! it's crazy... I can actually turn my neck without pain for the first time in nine years. I have had severe pinching, tightness, daily discomfort, headaches, the list goes on.. Constantly trying to accommodate my suffering with pain relievers, massage, physical therapy, my Husbands elbow! Enter...The waiting area in this mini-mall Haven-of-Health: walls plastered with tacky 3D testimonials (you have to see them). The wall beyond shelved to the ceiling with dubious looking supplements and whatnot. Other walls filled with posters and exhortations about the glory of Chiropractic! Finally an open room with the DC scurrying madly around among half a dozen patients, twisting their necks and popping them with what looks like a little pneumatic air pistol. Behind the desk some ditzy woman who welcomes you to "the fastest growing business in Thousand Oaks!" What? All this should have been a giveaway that this outfit is just geared to get folks snookered into the continuing and never ending need for "adjustment. After the obligatory high-dose full-spine X-ray and the unimpeachable findings of all sorts of spinal deformity, making you wonder how you've managed to get beyond a simian waddle all these years, you get the schpiel about the absolute need for quad-a-week adjustment. And thus on to the heating pads and neck twists with full-3D popping sounds, but not to worry that's-a-normal. A woman next to me, seemingly in some acute pain, attended in similar fashion, with more emphasis on selling the final solution than providing sufficient time to alleviate her discomfort (assuming, so sorry, that she was there for a fix, and not for the long sell). Ugh. As you can see, I wasn't enthralled. It all just seemed way too cheesy and desperate to be meaningful or indeed effective as a place of healing. If I go back, it will only be to take pix of the cheesy testimonials for my scrapook. Educate yourself, I found out. I'm off to the Physical Therapist for the right sort of healing. I am a single Mom of 3 kids that has worked several jobs to keep us a float. It's pretty safe to say that I am stressed out and my body takes a beating daily. I've know for awhile that I desperately NEED to have chiropractic care like years ago. The problem is... I have tried several chiropractors and it hasn't ever been a very pleasant experience for me what so ever. So I kind of gave up hope. I have been in a lot of pain, and it's been really hard for me to move, yet alone pick up or play with my granddaughter that cry's when I can't pick her up (And it truly breaks my heart) With that being said... I knew that I needed to find a Chiropractor ASAP :( Today... I am beyond HAPPY to say... That I finally found "MY CHIROPRACTOR" Dr. Nick Brock!!! I was a little hesitant. But once he adjusted me I knew he was the one! There is something about his technique that is absolutely beyond amazing. I usually experience a lot of pain when being adjusted by other Chiropractors which leaves me in more pain. But let me tell you... This mans techniques are amazing!!! No pain while being adjusted and I feel instant relieve!!! It's soooo AMAZING!!! I can't even express how happy I am that I found him!!! I drive an hour just to see him two times a week. So that goes to show just how AMAZING Dr. Nick Brock is!!! I don't recommend people unless I can 100% refer them to others. So with that being said. My name is Allison and I got a concussion at work about a year ago and since then I've been having a lot of neck problems, a massive muscle spasm in my neck, my shoulders, the pain went all the way down my back, into my arms, my hands went numb and they were tingling constantly. I was seeing dots in my vision, sometimes little floating things. My hearing would go out randomly or I would hear ringing in my ears. Medical doctors put me on a lot of different medications, seizure medication, depression medication, epileptic medication, I was put on Topamax, Fioricet, Flexeril, Ambien, Zithromax, Pamelor, Vicodin, Zofran, Neurontin and Norco. I wasn't sleeping, I was having a hard time concentrating and I would forget things all the time. I didn't know what to do anymore, then my sister told me to try chiropractic and referred me to Dr. Scott and by my third visit I was able to move my head with full range of motion, I no longer have muscle spasms in my upper torso and neck, I couldn't believe it, what Dr. Scott did in 3 visits was amazing! Dr. Scott found that I had some vertebra misaligned in my neck and upper back and told me that he was going to adjust them back into position, after doing so, I am now completely off of all the medication that the medical doctors put on. To think that all I needed were some adjustments to get pressure off of my nerves instead of medication. I was very skeptical about going to a chiropractor because of my preconceived notions of the profession. I was taught that chiropractors were "quacks" and you need go to a traditional doctor when there is something in your body that you need to fix. I went to my primary physician regarding constant numbness down my left arm through my left hand about 3 months ago. The doctor prescribed 800mg of Ibuprofen 3x/day. I took the pills for about a week and didn't see any change in my condition, so decided that I needed to try something different because I didn't want to keep pumping myself full of drugs. Fortunately, I found Advanced Chiropractic Rehab and decided to do a consultation with them to see what they were all about. I was extremely pleased to find out that they use a scientific approach to fix physical problems. Dr. Scott prescribed a regimen of adjustments and traction to fix the damage and retrain my body to naturally get into a better posture. I no longer have any numbness in my arm and doubt that traditional medicine could have gotten me to this point without surgical intervention. I forgot to upload my St. Patrick day review before, would like to combine it here with Halloween day adjustment, as always it is a great way to start holiday in a healthy way. In the email it says it will be orange treats, I thought about unhealthy orange cookies, but it is not what Dr. Brock had in mind, it turned out a cup of nice orange tangerines and water, always healthy way! It was great adjustment (my back was really stiff this time and Dr. Brock applied good pressure in better areas and medium pressure when it was really stiff, that what exactly I needed, somehow he knows and feels where apply right amount of pressure), great healthy snacks, and good holiday spirit! In this one wanted to say how thoughtful Dr. Brock and his team are about their patents. On St. Patrick's day they were making super healthy smoothies from fresh spinach, fruits (tangerine, banana), cucumber, wheat grass, almond butter and rice milk, and shared the healthy recipe and tips! Such a nice start of the day with great adjustment, as always Dr. Brock was so attentive, immediately noticed my slouching habit (don't know how to fight with that one when you're tired) and issues in the upper part of my spine and put extra attention there, plus healthy fresh smoothie, the healthiest St. Patrick day ever! So glad that TO has this great clinic and thank you so much to Dr. Brock to keep my spine in shape. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Before I started seeing Dr. Scott, I would wake up with severe back pain every morning. I initially started with another local chiropractor, but my situation did not improve. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I became a patient of Dr. Scott. I have now been a patient of his for over a year and he has improved my quality of life immensely. Unlike other chiropractors, Dr. Scott takes a very scientific and medical approach to analyzing and solving his patients' problems. In my experience, other chiropractors tend to take a "band-aid" approach to chiropractic care--in that they merely do an adjustment and nothing else. Dr. Scott, on the other hand, will undertake a thorough evaluation of his patients, in an attempt to discover and understand what, if any, underlying conditions may be present that are causing the patient's discomfort or condition. Then, Dr. Scott will develop a chiropractic care plan to address that condition. This is what differentiates Dr. Scott from other chiropractors. Dr. Scott has a friendly and professional demeanor. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things to his patients. You will never feel rushed or uncomfortable in his office. I had been to another chiropractor who did some therapy and tried to do adjustments without doing much of an evaluation and no X-rays . I was worried that I was not getting proper care and I was in an extreme amount of pain that was truly debilitating. I was close to going to a primary care physician to ask for pain relief medication even though I normally never take pills of any kind. I looked online and saw the good reputation of advanced chiropractic and thought I'd give them a try. From my first visit I knew I was in the right hands. Dr Scott did a very thorough examination as well as X-ray and then totally explained what was going on with me and my back. If there were words to the amount of pain I was in, I would use them, but the one that sticks out the most is "scary". I was terrified that it wasn't going to go away ever and the pain was literally waking me up at night. Long story short within a few visits to Dr Scott my pain level has dropped dramatically .
