Definitely a 'No'. They promised repair of my laptop within a month. Well past a month, they said the part was coming from Portugal (? !?!). After much more delay they said they had ordered it from China. I finally got it back after six months, but it did not work right. On my return, they declared my laptop had a virus. Then they charged me an extra $100 to 'remove the virus.' The computer never worked well and I had to replace it. No more business from me. read more

EPO Computer has died in January in 2022. Advanced Computers EST in 1994 and EPO Computers long I have known since 1998 and my first computer from EPO Computers. I was looking for a flatbed scanner for my photographs. The own of Advanced Computers said that he have one an Epson WorkForce ES-50 Portable Document Scanner that they did not have a picture of it. It was not a flatbed scanner for $199. It was on sale on the Epson website for $99. I understand that they need to make a profit. I said no to the sale and then Advanced Computers said I can find you a scanner for the same price $199. I had rejected the offer and then the Advanced Computers owner dismissed me by waved his hand. Advanced Computers has serviced 3 of my computers the last couple of years. Each had severe issues. I am very happy with their service. I have built and repaired many of my own computers. This shop provides excellent service. It often takes many hours to diagnose and repair a PC. These type shops can never charge for the full time they spend on fixing a computer. This is the best shop I have encountered in 20 years of PC use and repair. They saved me $300 under the replacement cost my out of warranty 2011 Dell Inspiron 17" laptop. DO NOT TRUST these people they will do work on your laptop illegally and will not get away with it this time. UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST They caused so much damage and who knows what personal information they stole of my laptop. The sound was working perfectly before I brought it in. When I got the machine the sound was turned up to the highest level of volume and the sound is distorted. They never installed the sound drivers and never connected the speakers properly when they opened the laptop to repair the power port. They only had to repair the power port and never had any permission to update any programs or go into my registry. Then they said they did nothing - well you people can't even hide your lies you created 3 log files on my laptop with evidence and the evidence shows in the program files the time and date you accessed my information. They will also claim to call the police because i am harassing them by demanding to know what they did on my laptop and why they did it without my permission. More lies they never called the police!!! They damaged my property and accessed my property illegally. All my work programs have been logged out on the internet. my entire work system has to be set up from scratch. The problem with the power port is still not resolved!!! Got scammed out of 50 dollars. Took in a laptop to replace a broken screen and a hinge which should be a simple fix if they knew what they were doing. After 2 days they asked me if I would put down 100 dollars so they can start the repairs. A day later they said it would be $449 dollars to get the parts from Hong Kong. Of course I said no and he didn't even try to convince me otherwise which told me they weren't able to fix it from the beginning. This place is a scam and you're better off googling and doing the fixes yourself. read more

This place is highly not recommended for any service. They rip off their customers with huge amounts of extra charges without any reason. My laptop's hinge needed to be fixed and $300 was finalized by the guy named Sam. I paid half the price including $15 as tax before my work even started, and in the end, they were charging me $175 including a 20% discount. My question is that is a 20% discount of $138, is $175? I was supposed to pay the rest $110. The owner misbehaved with me in regards to the remaining price over the phone. He was so rude , impolite, and informal. The drive was replaced, data was saved and now I have much faster response. I spent several hours looking for assistance in loading a Microsoft 2019 Home and Student edition since I had inadvertently locked myself out by confusing the sign-in process while at home days' before. My CPU is a great one, and I needed immediate help accessing MS online. I couldn't leave my CPU at any center for days without losing valuable contacts. Imagine my happiness when I approached the Advanced Computer and Laptops Repair Center late in the day. It looked a little dark inside, but I like to work in darker rooms when I access my computers. Also, the room was a little hot. Of course, I'm older so that may be beyond this building's control. Our climate has been hotter lately. The owner listened patiently to my concerns, referring me to Emran Gazi, the Supervisor. Emran stopped the work he was completing in the back of the shop after securing the owner's permission to do so. The owner forgot to introduce himself. However, I could see that he was 'eager to help me with my issues.' I thanked him, and Emran began going through the whole process of adding this software, asking why I needed Home and Student edition instead of MS 365. In an-hour-and-five-minutes with me overlooking his shoulder, he completed the transaction online. My computer has worked well ever since. PLUS, the company only charged my for an hour's labor. Others would have taken more time to complete this process, as evidenced by the time I spent earlier-in-the-day trying to find a shop that would help me. Kudos to considerate computer dealers who place others' needs before their own. As a woman, I appreciate their ability to give me reasonable, guaranteed service on-the-spot. read more

Please don't take your computer to these people and make the same mistake I did. My computer needed a new hard drive so I let them replace it and back up my old files. Not even 3 months later the hard drive crashed again 300 dollars down the drain and they only have a 30 day warranty so they won't fix it. I feel i was robbed of $40 today. I took my iPhone 5s in for a screen repair late Saturday... They repaired it within a few hours for $120. Unfortunately, they also managed to break something else in the process that caused the battery to discharge. I realized it that evening and turned the phone off. The battery continued to discharge at a rapid rate, faster than it could charge. It lost power even with the phone off. It wouldn't turn back on in the morning. Clearly some kind of incidental short or damage caused during the screen replacement. Closed Sunday, i take the phone back to them on Monday morning. They "think its the port" but "have to take it across town to a specialist." I cant take it to this specialist, I'm told, even though I'm willing to drive it there...he has to take it... I have no proof or reason to believe any of his story is true. No invoice or repair slip or receipt from said specialist... Nor would it matter because it is their responsibility to fix what they broke. I don't think it was the port because it still vibrated when plugged in and would get warm but wouldn't show anything on the screen. Why would a dead port cause the battery to drain with the phone off? Later that day the phone is fixed and they tell me it was the port and charge me $40 for it which i voiced my outrage over and rightfully should have refused to pay. I had lost enough time over the matter already though. They broke my phone and then charged me more for to fix it?!? ...and then he tells me he doesn't want me to go away angry. Good advice...I wont.
