I have been to a half a dozen different dentist in my adult years and haven't felt like they had my best interest at heart. Most seemed like they just wanted to suggest things to keep you coming back again and again whether you needed to or not and regardless if it could be done same visit. I just about gave up on finding my dentist "home" until a coworker recommended Bahri. She had nothing but great things to say and explained that she has been going to them for years and even has her son going to them so it's a family dentistry! I thought, well, it's been 2 years since I last saw a dentist and, should probably go, so let's give them a try. I called to make the appointment and they got me in that same week! They were so flexible with my schedule and made it so easy. They even emailed me a link to complete my new patient forms online and took me maybe 5 minutes to complete. So simple! I will say that finding the place took me a hot minute. I had the address and found the right spot, saw signs pointing to Bahri Dental Group but it took me to a college. I soon figured out the dental group was inside the college right through the main entrance. It would have been nice if they mentioned that when I made the appointment but I'm pretty intuitive and just figured it out. I walked in and told them my name and they immediately asked me back to a room. No forms to fill out or waiting around! They made me wash my hands (covid) before doing anything. They dis xrays, cleaning, etc. in record time and really focused on making me comfortable while be efficient. After they were done, the doc came over and did his exam. Explained to me what I'm doing well and things to consider to make my dental hygiene better (without pressure) and the. Set up my next appointment. My husband then made an appointment and was booked the very next day. He needed a crown and they made the crown impression and then plugged it into a computer and then it made some noise and produced the crown just like that. Like maybe 5 minutes! They have some of the better and high tech equipment to make things so efficient and avoid needing to make duplicate appointments. All I can say it between me and my husband, we both had great experiences. Mine was more simple because my teeth has no issues or cavities but even my husband who needed a crown and had 3 cavities, if was still an efficient and good experience. I would highly recommend Bahri.

I will say I assume technology has vastly improved. I did not feel any of the Novocaine shots (4 or 5). After the area became numb he began. Next thing I know ... less than a minute, he says "tooth's out". WHAT‍ I felt nothing. Now it's been hrs since the Novocaine has worn off, no tingling like it used to be, and amazingly I am not in any pain. So I don't know if it's technology or just a fabulous dentist. I met him at Quality Dentures in Palatka less than a year ago where he worked. When I asked "The Smile Resort" why he is listed as their dentist on their website, the lady said "because he had worked there for a long time." This information does not add up and appears to be misleading. If you are looking for a dental office that at least seems to care about you as a potential customer/patient, steer clear. The receptionist was very nasty and who knows what doctors actually work there since I was told Dr. Zimmerman does not and he is the first doctor that shows up on their website. Attached is a photo of a dental treatment plan created by Dr. Zimmerman on June 20, 2024 as a dentist for Palatka - Quality Dentures and Implants which, by the way, has changed names to "Harbour Dental" in order to avoid providing paid in full dentures to several patients (steer clear of that office too and look for my review to explain why). So how has Dr. Zimmerman worked for "The Smile Resort" for "a long time" if he provided a dental treatment plan from another dental office less than a year ago, hmmm? Myself and my girl friend has had terrible experiences at 4 Florida dental practices so far. Soooo sad. We have lost time, money, and most importantly have fallen victim to very bad dental recommendations that will result in very expensive dental solutions. Do your research and get several recommendations before any dental choice you need to make. Do everything you can to save teeth and prevent letting them take the fast, easy money and pulling teeth leaving you with the only option of implants or dentures. Please note, I fully support Dr. Zimmerman from the little experience that I had with him and this should not reflect on him in any way. Also note (to be perfectly fair) Yelp would not let me remove "oh no, what could improve?" "Type of care" or "care quality". I only had a bad 3xperience with the receptionist tone and attitude over the phone when I was initially very nice and respectful, complimenting Dr. Zimmerman. After the woman's rude tone persisted, I let her know just how unprofessional and disrespectful her tone was and someone made a mistake letting her be the point of contact with an attitude like that taking calls as a representative of their company. That is why this review has been posted.

Instead of 1 star, I'll have to give 2 stars because the front desk team and his assistants are nice. I don't think I'll ever be back here. I thought I had a cavity so it finally pushed me to find a new dentist and make an appointment. I found Hendricks Dental Studio on Yelp and read the great reviews. I love that the dentist office is very homey (I think it was a house lol) and comfortable. My first visit was an "emergency visit" before getting the full new patient exam and cleaning. Luckily I did not have a cavity, but I was able to schedule a full appointment for just a few weeks later while I was there. Laura at the front desk is very friendly and gave me a follow up call after the appointment just like the dental hygienist said she would. Dr. Azi did the exam and told me what she was doing step by step. She also took time to show me what she was referring to on my xrays. I appreciate that I did not feel rushed and they did not make me feel stupid for not being at the dentist in a few years. The hygienist Diane was the best though! She knew I was scared and kept saying little things like "wow your teeth are so clean and white I don't even have to clean them"! After a week of struggling with nerve pain, my husband called and scheduled an appointment for me immediately. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the doctor was very knowledgeable. It turns out I need a root canal. What stood out most, though, is that they didn't pressure me into additional services. They accept PPO dental insurance, though unfortunately, my husband and I won't have insurance until April. They made every effort to assist with financing options, and I want to emphasize that they didn't attempt to upcharge. In fact, they did everything they could to help make the procedure affordable, despite our current financial situation. As soon as we have insurance, I will definitely return for the root canal, and we plan to schedule appointments for my husband and daughter to have their teeth cleaned as well.
