I was tired of below average service from the dentists that I had in the past, so I didn't mind driving from Orlando to go to a dentist that my friend had a good experience with. I am very glad that I did. I was very impressed. I had two fillings put in and a full cleaning and was in and out very quickly. Andrea is the best dental hygienist that I have ever had. She was very thorough and took the time to explain everything with me. Rather than just telling me what to do, she helped me understand why I should do what she was suggesting. It made me feel like she really cared about my teeth specifically. Then I went in to see Dr. Keyzer and she was equally impressive. Every time I've had fillings in the past, I have had residual pain for a few days after. Not with her. I was eating and chewing like normal less than 2 hours after leaving, WITH NO PAIN. Very very pleased. As for the rest of the experience, nothing but top marks. Waiting room was clean and tidy. The receptionist was friendly, knowledgeable, and a good listener. I also really liked that the paperwork that I had to fill out on my first visit wasn't of the sort that has been xeroxed a million times and is obviously from the 1980's like many other doctors offices. I was already back in the chair when I was told I needed additional tests at the tune of 500.00 +. I did not have that amount nor was I ever told it would be that much. They had plenty of time to notify me of this price before my appt. I left. No sooner | get home and I get a text saying I missed my appt.(I didn't) The photos below show my exchange. I get a letter today 7/19 saying they will no longer see me which I already told them I'd never be back. They did not date the letter but the envelope was dated 7/17. They sent this out after I already told them I wouldnt be back. The office lady Linda is rude, unprofessional and apparently petty for sending me a letter knowing I'd never be back. I can see why all the nice dentists who worked there quit. You get a different dentist every visit. The office lady (Linda) is one of the most immature, unprofessional people l've ever encountered. This was a good place a couple years ago but not anymore. Buyer beware if you go here. As a side note I started going to this office in 2008. Always paid my bills and never had any problems.

All Work done at Mint Dental, Bradenton office, needs to be redone. both a bridge and a crown…read more The bridge never fit correctly, it did not match my teeth color, and to fix the bite three holes were drilled into it exposing the metal. there is a sharp gap between the crown and my gum. Yes! I did go back to have these problems taken care of. I was given excuses. Nerve damage to remove the bridge, gum replacement needed for crown. I spent a LOT of money on very poor dentistry. I did consult with another dentist, and a Periodontics specialist. Then went back to Mint, I was told that she had NO record of me having concerns, and that her work was "PERFECT". I have picture, consults, and x-rays to prove otherwise.

Now I'm giving them 2 stars because the staff and environment was welcoming and my teeth definitely felt clean afterwards... however... I was quoted with $2,340.00 worth of work that needed to be done on my teeth for tooo decay and cavities they graciously provided me with photos for me to keep showing this. I had to do the work in two sittings and when I asked about a payment plan they said it had to be paid at once. No way could I afford this. So I took my treatment plan and my photos and left without making an appointment. Feeling discouraged as could be--given that it had only been a year since my last dental appt before I lost insurance. Flash forward to now. I finally have dental insurance again. I got an appt at the dental office I used to go to back in the early 2000s (before my college dentist) and i brought my treatment plan and horrifying photos Dr. Elfervig provided me with. Guess what? I was told my teeth are completely healthy. Not a cavity in sight. Not even a pre-cavity. My gums could use some better care but not even bad enough to be considered infected, just irritated. They said the grey decay in the photos was actually tarter build up that changed colors and they were able to scrape it all away with a little elbow grease. Like I said, the office environment and staff were beyond welcoming. But I can't say I'm not glad I didn't go back to them and decided to get a second opinion from a different dentist. I was sure I'd have to have some fillings done after my visit today... but unless my teeth magically healed themselves in 1.5 years, I'm calling shenanigans on what I was told was wrong with my teeth.
