I am educated enough to know when unneeded services are being "sold " to me. I literally ran from such a dental practice that accepts my insurance. Dr. Lynch is an excellent dentist. Her approach is calm and informative. Her office does not push any unnecessary procedures. I had an extraction, plus a forty year old front crown replaced recently. They gave me great advice about flossing, electric toothbrushes, etc. For the first time in decades, my gums no longer bleed. I had a crown replaced by Dr Jacqueline Lynch. I felt totally relaxed from getting the temporary to get the permanent crown. Dr Lynch makes it very obvious she cares about her patients, checking to make sure that you are pain free & comfortable. When my temporary came off, her staff was helpful in scheduling an appointment time that fit my schedule. If I needed financing, her staff gave me suggestions. I have been patient at their Venice Office for a few years. I needed my semi-annual cleaning and the Venice was closed due to water damage from Hurricane Ian. The change of offices was very easy. They worked me in and while the Hygienist I normally see was booked, I saw Phyllis. The office made me feel welcome and thanked me for making the drive. Phyllis was very nice and made me feel at ease right away. You could tell she was a long time professional. read more

GET A SECOND OPINION TO FIND OUT I DIDNT NEED A CROWN LIKE THEY SAID I DID THEY ALSO SAID I NEEDED A FEW FILLINGS AND THAT WAS NOT TRUE EITHER. They quoted me an outrageous price WITH my insurance in network. Which made me go elsewhere to find a different price, I made two more appointments at two other dentists just for second opinions and turns out I don't need any of that done which BAYVIEW dental said I needed. I was about to pay for something AND get my mouth worked on when it doesn't need to be paid or touched. They don't care about their patients they only care about your money. I never write reviews but this infuriated me and prospective patients should know about this. I am also in the healthcare field and you call yourself a doctor??? That's not care, should have went into sales instead of being placed in a position that is to quite literally CARE for their patients. read more

Your secretary is misleading. Customers rely on your office giving them correct information. I did check with my insurance company which is why I questioned why I was being told more than what they had quoted me. I stand by this review and my husband & daughter received excellent service at another location! And guess what else? the crown that your office put on and fell off , they replaced and it's still on very much a quality dental office! read more

All in all a horrible experience. Short staffed what little staff there was was in a hurry. Painful experience. My teeth were fine but my mouth was quite sore after. X-rays were painful and the dental exam was painful because everybody was rushed. Hi Dentist never showed up so teeth are never cleaned. Do yourself a huge favor and find a real Dental office. I am going back to my former dental office. They no longer take insurance and that's just something I will deal with. I will not go through this again. read more

Terrible experiencia after 4 months in agony. Still they haven't resolved my problem with my bridge. Dr. Konich needs to resolve the pain that I still have in my new bridge. Dr . Hale glue the bridge permanent with knowledge that the tooth could died because I have been complaining of pain for 3/1/2 months. Dr. Hale mentioned most of the bridge need root canal. I started with the pain from the very beginning and I am still in pain. Dr. Konich you need to resolve this issue. The amount of money i paid it is outrageous, and then Dr. Hale sold me Botox and a retainer for another 700 dollars promising pain realest. Very upset about the unprofessionalism of this Doctor. read more

I checked online and called to see which dentists are approved for the insurance I have. I called Bayview Dental Associates, 3665 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL and told them what insurance I have and I want to be sure they take that insurance, since they were listed as being approved They checked and said they do accept it and I tried to schedule an exam and standard cleaning and asked them to confirm there is no copay for the exam and the cleaning as indicated on my plan. They assured me that was correct. I tried to schedule an exam and a cleaning at the same time but they refused to do that and said I must do the exam first and then can schedule the cleaning, but again promised they would both be with a $0.00 copay. When they called to confirm the appointment I again confirmed it was covered with my insurance and I would not be a charged. When I went in for my appointment and gave my insurance card I AGAIN for the third time confirmed I could get the exam and cleaning that is covered with my insurance and they assured me I could and confirmed there would be no copay. I went in to the exam and they did all the x-rays, and photos etc after waiting for about 20 minutes. Then they told me to stay in the chair and someone would come to talk about a "treatment plan". I sat for 30 minutes waiting and finally somebody came in and gave a two page readout of what needed to be done (I had just had a thorough exam 6 months before). She explained what needed to be done, and the cost was over $9500.00. I told her I would look at all that but for now I just wanted to schedule a normal cleaning as covered with my insurance like I was promised. She informed me they couldn't do that and I would need a complete hygienic treatment and they could do that cleaning but my cost would be $200.00! I told her I just wanted the standard cleaning for now as I was promised on at least three occasions, but I was told they could do my cleaning but the charge would be $200.00 and I would have to pay them for that as insurance would not pay. I was pretty upset by this time - THIS WAS A PURE RIPOFF! By this time I had been there for 90 minutes and go NOTHING for it, and nothing I made sure would be done - three times before I went there. When I went to leave they told me I would have to pay $20.00 for the exam. I told them they promised me I would not have to pay, and my insurance would cover, and they said they would waive it, but they tried to scam me out of $20.00 for something I never requested or wanted, and after I wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time - all for nothing but a scam! STAY AWAY, THIS PLACE IS NOTHING BUT A RIPOFF AND THEY DON'T DO WHAT THEY PROMISE BUT THEN WHEN THEY HAVE YOU IN THEY TRY TO SCAM YOU. read more

This is the best dental office I have ever been to. Talk about kind and friendly staff! They are truly passionate about what they do and it shows in their customer service. My cleaning today was done by someone who has such a passion for his career. He was extremely thorough but also very timely and knowledgeable about his work. It is ironic or perhaps indicative that the last visit to Bayview was already problematic from the start. The X-ray machine malfunctioned twice and upon my comment, "it doesn't make me feel very confidant" the nurse responded with - give me a break! The practice is small, almost cramped. Dr. K, a pleasant enough lady, came in and discussed her option. Remove all upper teeth and put in a denture. The idea made me very uneasy. I went to Julie, the receptionist, who has always been very friendly and positive, taking out time to explain my questions. She gave me a breakdown - this is just for the uppers. Removal of teeth and making of the denture to be done elsewhere. I asked her to please see if this is really the only option. Previous procedures had been good and were done after having discussed the outcome with me. She told me she would get me an answer the following week. 4 days later, I received a letter from Bayshore, telling me to find another dentist. Apparently it is not considered appropriate to question the good doctor. I found a new, spacious office, had an examination and was told the same thing. The difference was, when I asked questions, they were answered. But most important, I was told why my old bridge wouldn't work any more. There wouldn't be enough pivot-points left. Didn't like it, but it made good sense to me. Now, I have my new denture, not an easy adjustment because it is a major step for me.. Since this new office has all services in house, they do all the procedures themselves. Total cost was almost 1/2 of that for Bayview and their outsourced associates. Wow! We had been going to Dr. Galloway for a year and a half. My wife had to have a dental clearance for Moffitt. Dr. Galloway told my wife that she needed 7 crowns. As she was talking to the dentist the receptionist took it upon herself to call Moffitt to verify her clearance. Which was very inappropriate. We ended up getting a second opinion and she only needed ONE crown and a filling to get her clearance. We will NEVER go back to Bayview Dental. read more

Dr. Konick and the office staff are all excellent. I have been a patient of there for over 10 years. I never feel pressured into having services performed. In my time there, I have had routine cleanings, crowns, and other work performed. All the work performed has been top notch. I recently had my son switch from his pediatric dentist. Alison is great and thorough. I felt very comfortable with her explaining everything to me. The hygienist I saw was not great. I left feeling underwhelmed with the service and felt that the office staff were trying to nickel and dime me for everything. I had to call and complain about a charge that showed up on my insurance after my first visit.. it eventually got removed but it was not a pleasant experience.
