Yesterday I went to work with a very very bad tooth pain. I took a lot of ibuprofen and it would not even touch the pain that I was having! My doctor referred me to his dentist which then referred me to Endodontic Practice Associates since they knew I would need a root canal. I called them at 10:30am and the office staff was so kind! They had a cancellation with Dr. Hinckley and were able to fit me in at 3pm. I forgot to tell you I was also in the middle of moving into an apartment as well that day! So in the middle of moving into the apartment Dr. Hinckley was so kind to get me in! He was very nice and very informative! He explained everything that he was going to do before he did it and talked me through everything that he was doing and why he was doing it in the middle of the procedure! He also video taped my root canal and was very nice and let me watch everything that he was doing through the video camera! WOW what detail they have to do! I will never let another dentist do any more root canals! EVER AGAIN!! I will only come and see Dr. Hinckley! Let hope I don't have another one though! Yes it was kind of expensive.... but now knowing what all they have to do it is worth every penny! Thank you so much again for getting me in so quick and being so kind! Anyone who complains about the cost of a root canal need to watch what they do! It is amazing and the detail that they have to go through is crazy!! I will never go anywhere else to get a root canal done ever again! I was also informed my a friend that is in dentist school that dentist should not be doing root canals!! Please if you take anything from this please never ever ever get a root canal done by your dentist! They are not properly trained!!! It is like comparing an electrician doing a plumbing job!! He gave me the blessing in needle for and pumped my gum full of bliss inducing Novacaine! He gave me a script for some antibiotics and i went home and actually rested. I have to say that he isn't my regular Dentist. The length that he went for me to feel some comfort was unsurpassed and is something i don't hear of anymore. I had a failed root canal and was referred to them for extraction by my Dentist…read more They were pushing expensive implants. I did not indicate any interest in implants. I was there to have my failed root canal pulled. They charged me $250 for a 3D xray - I was led to believe that was needed to complete the extraction. I had to pay up front and they said my insurance would not pay for it. The dentist examined me went over my X-ray and said it needed extracted. i knew that already! They were unwilling to extract it that day and fast forward to now. I had difficulty with this office again in scheduling. I gave up and said send me my 3D xray. I then found a reputable Surgeon and took my 3D $250 xray to him. He informed me it was unnecessary and a simple xray is fine. It was then I learned that this office takes advantage of people in pain by pushing expensive unnecessary scans. so if I were going to get implants, this is the last place on earth I would get them. This office has problems keeping Dentists, they have different people every time you inquire.

The other didnt care and continued to insist I bite on the x ray film with all my might even when I told her it feels like Im biting on razor blades. She grabbed me by the fat under my chin, shook it and told me that if I would just relax it wouldn't hurt.....you cant relax a bone to my knowledge.My mouth was all torn up by the time I left there. One tech did an additional xray without covering my body with the apron. My mouth hurt for 10 days, but I didnt think too much of it because the xray films were cutting me up. I noticed what I thought was a canker sore on the tori and decided I was going to take off the little white piece because it wasn't healing up..... Lo and behold! It wasn't a canker sore...it was a shard of what was probably tooth material embedded in my gums! Lots of blood came out of the hole and up from my gums under the tooth once I removed it. But man! My mouth felt much better after that! Im sure this isn't the way they typically work, but it was my personal experience. Wish I had a better story to tell!
