The irresponsibility of these people is astounding. I had a dental hygienist appointment, along with my husband for today 7/14 at 10:00 am. they call me at 8:56, when I'm already half way there from WOB, because o respect people's time and like to be punctual, and they tell me they're canceling my appointment because the hygienist called out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I pleaded with them to try and squeeze me in, sin I was already at Boynton Beach Blvd and Hagen Ranch. NO, they couldn't do that. They did a 3D scan, and I was told our Humana PPO did not cover it, so we paid $250 on the spot. Come to find out Humana covers one scan a year. They are supposed to be an in-network office as we were going to get the root canal done there because of being in pain and was told it would be over $1K out of pocket as their endodontics dentist is not in network. I really recommend this dental office...they do everything under one roof. I regularly see Dr. Staller, who is very good & explains everything. I was referred to their oral surgeon, Dr. Norkin, who performed oral surgery on me yesterday. I have little to no pain & am feeling ok. The assistant who worked with Dr. Norkin, her name is TinaMarie, was amazing. She was sweet, gentle, attentive, and went above & beyond to help make me comfortable. She tried to alleviate my anxiety which was very much appreciated! Overall, I give the whole team high marks. read more

The simplest way to put it is... Find a different dentist office! The Dentists are just fine, but the treatment you will receive from the office and their greedy policies make this place horrible. I was only there a few times, but spent thousands of dollars (they charge as if you are getting VIP treatment.... they just forget to carte about the patient) and they wanted to charge a premium for extras because (according to them) it's "office policy"... WHAT? Well, my policy is not to get nickel and dimed by a place who puts profits way above the patient. They also will have you sign your life away (not munch insurance seems to be accepted) before lifting a finger. F- .... Oh, and the woman you have to speak with on the phone is just rude and uncaring.... she seemed to welcome me to post the truth about them (and she did not check with anyone to even give consideration to my issues with them). read more

I have been here twice in the past three years for emergencies. I was able to see a dentist that day. After my great experiences with the dentists and staff I decided to make them my main dentists. I use Dr. Core. He is very thorough with his exam. I made an appointment for my cleaning with Marie. She was prompt and also very thorough. I was very impressed with this place. I am terrified of the dentist and I felt nothing but at ease during my first visit. They gave me a tour, introduced me around, offered me anything I wanted off of their comfort menu and most importantly, I felt next to no pain. I meet with Doreen (the awesome at dental assistant ever), Shawn (gum disease), and Dr. McGuffie. They even gave me a welcome card and gift. I was told they accepted my insurance at the time & even paid the balance, which would be the patient responsibility using my dental insurance plan allowance. Months later I am informed they no longer take my dental insurance & I owe them the full amount of the bill. This should have been explained to me upon my first visit. I should not have been misinformed because their office made an error thinking my insurance was still accepted. I feel it is unethical & just not right. I have never dealt with these issues back home. Very upsetting when an office conducts themselves in such a manner. read more

I had an assessment, filling, and cleaning done all in one day and I have not been more comfortable in a dentist's office. I recently moved to the Delray area and had trouble finding a dentist that won't try to pull a fast one on you or whose main concern was getting you in the chair and out -- when health professionals say that, it honestly makes me uncomfortable. At Advanced Dentistry, I felt like I was sitting in a college classroom with those really cool professors who actually care about their students and their story, because I was educated on different topics like oral cancer (which I was delighted to learn this office has saved lives recognizing early on) and different effects the way my teeth grow has on its ability to avoid decay. My time in the chair felt appreciated and I felt very safe in the hands of all the staff. The professionals were PROFESSIONAL, while remaining friendly and open. Their personalities made me feel more like a family member than a patient, and I could tell their education on dentistry didn't stop at their degree. They continue to adapt and educate, and their convenience has given me much to look forward to in my next appointment. I am new to Florida dentistry. And, coming from NYC you would think I'd be ok with steep pricing. I guess when they make you sign your 1st born away, it's a hint. I have trouble with the - no spit sink- thing. Leaving, I found stuff in my mouth even a day later. But, that's my own issue. At least they're honest, and everyone there was polite. But you can tell, they all believe most who enter for treatment is a potential no pay. Very discomforting. I guess because of the high cost of of dental school and loans, the days of fee negotiating is long past. read more

I have been to fine dentists in NYC. Moved to Florida recently and saw Advanced Dentistry took my insurance. Like a high end used car dealership they tried to sell me on " deep cleaning periodontal work". Sinice I last saw my dentist less than a year ago and he never mentioned this- I saw there was no need. When I asked for just a regular cleaning, dentist refused saying that's malpractice. I'm not a lawyer but I'm quite sure I could have had a regular cleaning since there were no cavities an no issues. I would say anyone looking for an honest dentist- stay away from here. read more

I've been going here since 2015 after a recommendation from a coworker. Several of us and my wife all go to this practice. I've had a pleasant experience every time I've been in. My only complaint is I've seen 3 hygienist in this time and I would be willing to change dentist because of this. I feel that the hygienist is more of my partner in my oral care than the dentist. If they keep turning over then I'll have to find another place. The one I had today was a bit clumsy and nervous. I'm a bit disappointed. If you don't have an issue with this one point. I am not a person comfortable with the dentist. More than that I have dental problems and this is the first time I have been able to find a dentist that actually listens and not only that tries to make sure that I am comfortable with his plan of action to help improve my situation and made sure understood it. They took the time to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I must have had 4 prior dentist since I moved to South Florida and I finally found a home. I never thought having a dentist like having a primary doctor was even possible but it is. Now I look back almost a year later my dental issues have improved leaps and bounds. Was referred to this practice on Indian Spring Nextdoor. Was seen immediately for tooth pain. Toured their lovely, full service office and was thoroughly examined after which it was determined I did not need a root canal. If I did, I was already set up with an appointment with their specialist. I understand the only service they don't offer is orthodontics. The office staff is highly professional and caring. I'm thrilled to have found this practice as I'm a snowbird and have always been concerned with finding a dentist in case of an emergency; now I have. I highly recommend this practice! read more

Very nice doctors and staff. However, I can't understand why they don't place plastic barriers on equipment in the rooms. I kept asking the dental assistant why so many of the tools weren't covered between customers and she replied that she wipes them down. For example, the dental light where assistant and doctor use, mouse and pad (foam) that the assistant was using and touching my mouth wasn't covered with a plastic barrier. The assistant put her hands dirty glove in a drawer to get a "clean" pen to use. For such an advanced practice, I'm very surprised they don't do more to keep patients protected especially during the Covid 19 outbreak. I won't be back. Found another another dentist that follows OSHA requirements. Also, I requested someone to call me back about pricing for my next appt several times and they have not called me. Used the bathroom on the way out and no paper towels, ugh. read more

It was sheer luck finding Advanced Dentistry. Everyone couldn't be more courteous, professional and friendly to boot. My dental hygienist, Jeston, is the best. I have used this practice since I moved to Delray Beach two years ago and have always found the staff to be courteous, polite and professional and Dr McGuffie to be an excellent dentist. This all changed for me yesterday when in the middle of a routine cleaning the hygienist announced that she was being called by a Doctor and would be back in five minutes. As I sat in the chair for the next fifteen minutes waiting her return I strongly felt that it would be a better practice and show more consideration for the patient to schedule such meetings/bagel breaks etc between patient procedures, not during. I give Dr McDuffie 4 stars as I rate him as a competent dentist that fixes what is needed and doesn't push to have expensive work done. As for the hygienist I prefer one of them, however, I always feel like this office is trying to sell you something whether it be an electric toothbrush or some agent to apply to your teeth and gums. I have had billing issues with my dental ins.and have had to pay more than I thought every time I've gone. Its not to say what is quoted to you will be more but be alert and your own advocate as the fees could add up. If money is not a problem for you than I recommend Dr McDuffie. read more

Bridge that Dr. Staller put in doesn't feet right also left a gap between teeth. I have to re-do it again with another dentist and spend more money. Front desk stuff is rude. Lora, the front desk has no knowledge at all and no compassion. I had an emergency due to root canal, they wanted to schedule me to see dentist 2 weeks later. I would get abscess if I wait that long. The worst dentist office I have ever been too. The staff is very nice but they have no idea what is going on. The dental hygienist and dr staller have a lack of expertise in dentistry. He was unable to fix something as simple as a crown for a tooth and always had a excuse to why it kept coming out. I went to his office about six different times because every week the crown was falling out until I decided to just see another dentist on my insurance plan.
