The medical staff is AMAZING!! I never get cold BUT this office is freezing BRING A COAT!! SO COLD THAT I HAD TO SIT IN MY CAR WHILE they tested the skin removal margins. I was aware of this problem from my first visit. To prepare I dressed with long sleeves and pants. It was far more cold... you'll need to dress like you're going skiing. Its summer time give us a break. We're paying good money to be frozen? Is that fair to us? You know they know something isn't right because they have heaters in the rooms. From making the appointment to the details provided by the doctor and staff, my initial visit at Advanced Dermatology was excellent.

Office staff was friendly. I was very disappointed with Dr. Brenman. He was by far the worst dermatologist I have ever been to. He made me feel like I was below him and didn't listen to me. I spent more time taking my clothes off than with him for a full body skin check. Office prides themselves that you will only see a Dr, no PA's or NP's, I would see a landscaper for my issues then ever see him again. read more

Well this is a good and a not so good review. As far as Dr Kaplan, I really did feel like she gave a lot of attention during my visits. It's also very conveniently located to not only my residents but so many neighborhoods nearby. The only negative thing that I will say however is that the system that they use for appointments and even billing is so automated that it doesn't leave any room for personalization or correcting of mistakes, it seems. For instance there is no email address or way to send the office a message unless you call. However if you call sometimes you get a different service answering the phone, which even the front desk person that I spoke with today in person told me about. So in my case, I was actually applying for a Front Desk position there since I live very close by and have all the experience and there was a mistake online with the program not accepting my resume properly after I submitted my application. In order to correct this I tried calling them and I don't know if they were out to lunch or if no one ever answered on the answering service, it was a while ago, but I was not able to reach them that way. So I went on the website to try to email them or fill out a contact form and there was none available. The only way to have them contacted at that time was to click the appointment button but before I did any sort of submission I saw that it had a large paragraph area that I could write in and explain why I would make it appointment or whatever I wanted to say. So I made sure in that space to say that I did not need an appointment but I was trying to contact someone right away because my resume didn't upload correctly in my application had already been submitted and it would not let me resubmit it. And I enunciated that I was not making an appointment that I just needed someone to please email or call me back so I could submit my resume. Well no one ever called me and I just assumed that perhaps they already hired someone or had enough applications and thought nothing more of it. But fast forward some weeks ahead and I received a bill for a no-show appointment! I immediately tried calling them and no one answered so I left a voicemail. No one ever called me back about the voicemail so I decided to go in person and ask about the bill. The lady there said that she would talk with her manager so I thanked her. Later that day the manager did call me and I explained again what had happened and she said well they don't really read those things that are put in that section when you make appointments. Of course as a patient I would never know that and I would expect them to have read it. And she said that it automatically billed me because the systems automated and then explain to me how they don't like no show appointments. I completely agree with her that someone not showing up to an appointment is inconsiderate and I told her that I've never not shown up for an appointment and that they could even check my past history. And I explained to her that I can't even make an appointment there any longer because they don't accept my insurance and that the reason was to submit my resume and get a hold of someone. She seems more intent on trying to lecture me about no shows then really understanding that I didn't do anything on purpose and that it is important to read what patients send their office. She said there is no way that she could correct this issue because it's automated but I told her that there is always a way that you can credit a patient or correct the bill. She was completely uninterested in either making this right or in owning up to the fact that they don't read what their patients send them online within the appointment area. The manager receiving sarcastic in saying that I should have just brought my resume in person to them, however what she didn't realize is that I do not have a printer that I could print my resume on in order to do so, so it was a rather unhelpful and snarky suggestion as well as a deflection of taking responsibility for not reading what a patient and potential employee wrote to them. So for future patients or current patients, just make sure you keep this in mind and perhaps you may want to advocate for some kind of dependable and reliable way to communicate with this doctors office. I will not be paying this unjustified charge and will also be taking it to a higher level to have it removed from my account at this point. Hopefully the manager can be a little more organized in the office and make sure that they actually do read what their patients send them and maybe having too many things automated is not in the best interest of the patients either or even the office itself. In the end, it worked out that I was not hired or even interviewed or even allowed to submit my resume at this office . The office staff was professional and I got in right away for my appointment. But unfortunately, the doctor I saw didn't spend but about 8 minutes with me from beginning to end, didn't listen to me, or explain why I had a rash on my face. He prescribed a cream for a lesion on my face but didn't explain how to use it or what reaction I might have to the cream. I had to go back and see another doctor in the practice who really listened and did a thorough skin check on my face. The doctor froze a couple more spots on my nose that the first doctor missed. I would recommend Dr. Surovik, but not the first doctor I saw...Dr. Brenman. read more

I've been seeing Dr Hansen for a worsening skin condition I've had for several years. She's been very caring and attentive during our appointments. She's tried many different medications with little to no improvement. Thats not unusual in dermatology. A few months ago she suggested Dupixent a biological injection. This medication costs approximately $3500 a month. My insurance will cover some of it but my out of pocket will still be over $1500. That alone discourages it's use but Dr Hansen has put me in touch with a program that may provide financial assistance with the cost. Overall I've been very pleased with the care I've been receiving from Advanced Dermatology and Dr Hansen! read more

I have never been rushed in and out more quickly at any medical appointment in my entire life. Defiantly felt like a number, not a patient

I deliberately called 6 weeks in advance to get an appointment, which they were booked that far out anyways. I called the day before my appointment to confirm because we were expecting a great deal of snow and the girl reassured me I would still have my appointment. 1 hour before my appointment I received a call cancelling and the next available appointment was over a month out. I have a concern with my skin and if I waited to see these doctors it would be 3 months I have waited with this concern. They made no apologies or made any accommodations to reschedule and I even tried to do it the day before and they wouldn't let me. Extremely disappointed. read more
