He's been my Dr for years and I'm so grateful. Wonderful, so thorough, great listener and considers the whole picture. He asks important questions and is mentally present during the whole appointment, which should be a given with every physician yet isn't. As I scan other reviews I see the only negatives are from people who've had difficulty with the phone and scheduling. Unfortunately post c word that's how the whole industry is if a physician is excellent as he is. He's worth the effort to schedule. Also I've never personally had difficulty reaching his scheduling team. I help my elderly Mom and with one of her providers I physically drive there to schedule because it takes hours on hold repeatedly or days for a call back. You may have some difficulty pronouncing Dr. Deb's last name but you won't have any problem agreeing that he is a super doctor. I had to change gastroenterologists recently and I was referred to Dr. Deb. He was attentive on our appointment and promptly scheduled both my colonoscopy and my endoscopy. The procedures were completed without issues, and he thoroughly explained the outcome. He is a very knowledgeable nice, congenial and cheerful guy. His office staff are really pleasant and spot on with their support and follow up. read more

This is a tough review to write. On the one hand, it's necessary to see Dr. Mukhopadhyay as needed for digestive ailments or in my case, colon screening because I'm of the age when that's a diagnostic test which can detect cancer of the colon early. On the other hand, having the procedure done isn't a lot of fun. Well, at least the getting ready part the night before isn't much fun. As for the test itself, once the cleanse is finished and you're at the Summerlin Hospital Endoscopy Center, the nap is quite refreshing and you remember nothing! My follow up visit with the doctor--note how I avoid typing his name twice--was good news and I don't have to see him for another 5 years! I would recommend Dr. Mukhopadhyay to anyone who needs to see a digestive specialist. He's a very personable man. read more

My husband and I are both patients of the Dr. We both have had several appointments with him. The staff have gone out of their way always to help us. The office is very clean and pleasant. Dr M. Is very personable and professional. The other one star reviews are false. He spends plenty of time with his patients. If a Dr. smells like cologne, that means he's clean and cares about his appearance and hygiene. How dare people write and complain about this wonderful physician. Gladly going to my procedure!!!!! I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Mukhopadhyay last week. I called and the receptionist Sophia was kind enough to get me an emergency appointment as I had gone a week without my medication and needed it immediately. The day of the appointment, Dr. Mukhopadhyay didn't bother to look at my medical record, which, as a new patient, I was told to provide. He didn't even know why I was there in the first place. He asked me several questions about my medical history and current state, but interrupted me after nearly every question I attempted to answer. He was overall very dismissive and inattentive. After he was done with his assessment he took me to the front desk to fill out my request for blood work and then walked away. No goodbye, no follow-up, nothing. I was told by Giselle that my request for prior authorization would be completed, as my specialty medication requires authorization from my insurance provider. My records would be faxed and my insurance provider would be contacted promptly. This was nearly a week ago. Since then I have gone back and forth with my insurance provider and been told by four separate people that authorization should take no more than 72 hours through fax, or 30 minutes over the phone, something I was not aware of. In speaking with my provider, as of today no authorization has been completed, no attempts to contact them have been recorded, and nothing has been processed. I was told by Giselle that my records were faxed on Friday, TWO DAYS after my appointment, which is untrue. In speaking with her earlier this week she told me that she would directly contact my insurance provider, which in speaking to them, was untrue. I called twice this afternoon and requested that Giselle call my provider and notify me of the outcome. I received no call. My mother called and had a heated conversation with Giselle regarding all of this. Giselle said "I told her [me] that I would call tomorrow" which was a lie. She gave smart-ass commentary and made excuses. I called immediately after, and was told by Giselle that she "was going to come in early and do it tomorrow [Wednesday]" but that she would do it "right now" after I got off the phone with her. I received no follow-up and called my insurance provider 45 minutes later. I was informed that no call had been placed. If they happen to be reading this, I want to make it clear that I have been nothing but kind and patient despite what is happening, and what could happen to me if I do not get my medication: joint pain and joint swelling, fatigue, painful eyes, severe abdominal, flank and back pain, bloody and painful diarrhea, malabsorption which leads to malnutrition, intestinal inflammation which leads to blockages, and prolonged intestinal inflammation which causes internal scarring. This scarring can lead to strictures which require surgery, and if severe enough, can lead to a J-pouch, which is a pouch that sits outside of your body that you POOP INTO. I am very appreciative for the urgency of my first appointment, and the initial kindness of Sophia; however, the lying, the excuses, the lack of follow-up and action is appalling. This is negligence at its finest. Had I not been in communication with my insurance provider, I never would have known about any of it. Be your own advocate and stay informed. My situation could have been resolved in 30 minutes, the day of my appointment, even the day after, but was not. I will be filing a formal complaint with whoever will listen, including the Medical Board regarding how this doctor allows his office to run. read more

If there were a zero star, I would give it. I do not know how this doctor has a medical degree? His licence needs to be taken away ASAP. He should not be practicing in Nevada. Every time we went in for a follow up on a test he requested, he would say "why are you here?" we would tell him for the follow up. "what follow up? what test did you do?" we would tell him the test and he would say, "I never ordered that for you" then he would order another test..after 3 times of doing this, One of them being an actual surgery in summerlin hospital,which he said he never even preformed we found another gastro. This Dr is a joke. How do you actually do a surgery on a patient and then when they come to get the results of the biopsy, he tells you he never did the surgery??? I've never heard of such a thing. Was told to be at the appointment at 1:30 for a 2:00 appt. When I arrived on time the door was locked. At ten to 2 the door was unlocked. I wasn't seen by the Dr for another 45 minutes. When the doctor showed up he smelled of colonge. His demeanor was strange. He introduced himself by his first name, as if we were old friends. Didn't impress my husband or me. He spent less than 5 minutes with me. Then turned us over to the scheduling person Jamie. During this entire experience the staff and the doctor were busy helping Jamie look for her misplaced cell phone. More important than me obviously. When I went to the pharmacy I was notified that the script for the cleanse was not covered by my insurance carrier. I called Jamie now five times to have a new script sent to the pharmacy. She has never returned my calls or sent a new script. The unprofessional behavior has lead me to cancel the procedure with Digestive Associates. No stars read more

Filthy office.Patients seem to be junkies and welfare recipients. Dr. appears tired and dirty. Wait is 2 to 2 1/2 hours. No real physical exam. Curious comments. Wants to do procedure with no explanation. I wouldn't trust him to affix a bandaid much less do a procedure. read more

I would of gave this office 0 stars if it was an option. I have never attended this office before and I never will now. I assist my uncle with his doctor appointments, and he was referred to this doctor by Mountain View Hospital to Discuss results of EGD and Colonoscopy. First time y called the a lady answered and was unable to assist with scheduling an appointment because she said "I'm an Intern, I'll get you to the staff". When someone finally answered there was no greeting and the background noise was very loud, I said hello and finally after a minutes pause a female finally answered "yes", I was very shocked so I asked her if it was a bad time should I call back?...I was very frustrated at this point, I released a loud and annoyed "fuck" she then said no and put me on mute. I held thinking she might get someone who can assist me but I stead she got back on the phone. I asked for her name she instead said "do you want morning or afternoon?". Again, I asked her name and she said Michele. I asked her is this how she conducts business, because she was so rude and unprofessional. She didn't seem to care. What type of place is this that answers their phones in this manner. She then stated "oh its because we just got back from lunch" WOW SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I let her know how I felt in regards to her unprofessional treatment and hung up. I will take my business elsewhere. This is outrageous if this is "the staff" I can't imagine "the doctor's"! HORRIBLE experience with Dr. Mukhopadhyay! Went for a consultation at his office in August 2013. Scheduled a colonoscopy for the beginning of September which I had to take a day off of work to have done, as he only does the procedure on Monday and Friday. His office called 3 days before the procedure to cancel and reschedule. Understandable, some times things come up in doctors schedules and appointments need to be changed. I rescheduled the day that they called in September for a Monday in December. Again, I had to take an additional day off from work. I did not receive a reconfirmation call on the Friday before the procedure so I called his office to reconfirm with them. They had NO appointment scheduled for me!! Even though I had rescheduled the day that they called to cancel the first appointment. To add insult to injury I get a bill from them at the end of January (5 months after my one and only office visit) saying I never paid my insurance co-pay!! Really!!?!?? HORRIBLE experience!! I lost 2 days of work for a procedure I never had and now get a bill trying to shake down $20.00 extra dollars from me for my co-pay. read more
