Waiting room is small and stuffy. Scheduling is inconvenient. Staff is incompetent. They provided an estimate for a "procedure" that ended up being 3x the estimate. So I wasted time, and money for a procedure I cannot afford in the end. Will not be coming back here again nor do I recommend coming here. read more

I've been to Advanced Ear, Nose, and Throat a few times now, and while there are definitely some positives, there are also a few things that could use improvement. The biggest issue is the wait time--every appointment I've had here has taken much longer than expected. It's frustrating when you show up on time and still end up waiting a long time to be seen. The waiting area also has a TV that's loud and constantly repeats the same content, which gets pretty annoying after a while. On the plus side, they do have a small children's area, which is helpful if you're bringing little ones along. The best part of this office by far is Dr. Hilton. He's fantastic--every visit, he takes the time to explain everything clearly and in a way that's easy to understand. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and wants them to feel informed and comfortable. If they could work on reducing the wait time and improving the waiting room experience, this place would be an easy five stars thanks to Dr. Hilton alone. read more

Improvements have been made! I'd like to start by saying the doctors have always been amazing. We've been seeing Hilton and he is incredible! He listens to my concerns and makes me feel heard! He is also great with the kids and takes good care of them. I'd recommend him everytime. Since my last review the waiting room has been updated with new chairs, a new TV that plays something other than the history channel, and a cleaner toy room for the kids. Also, my wait times the last 3 times I've been in have gone down drastically. I'm usually seen 5-20 minutes after checking in! My mother in law was referred to this office for a nodule found in her thyroid and a mass that has grown by her right ear. Upon arrival, we were hit with a piercing noise....it was the fire alarm!!! The entire hospital and clinic had to evacuate! The fire department came to evaluate. Thankfully everything was fine and we were finally able to go into the building. I didn't want to leave since it's difficult to obtain an appointment because they are booked out pretty for a few months. The front desk was a little flustered due to the fire alarm interruption however they did the best as they could to get things back in order. It took longer to wait since everyone had to reorganize and start where they left off. After about 1 hour of waiting, Dr. Hilton came in. He is such a blessing!! He came in with such a great attitude and uplifted spirit despite the fact that he and the staff should have been heading home for the day. He took his time examining my mother in law and telling us exactly what needs to be done and explained things in a way we could understand. He was such a joy to speak with. He took time and was very thorough with all that he did. He was also very sweet and personable. One could tell that he really enjoys his job. We look forward to seeing him again for the results of what he recommended. If you need to find a great Doctor to take care of anything ENT, this would be the best place to go. It's no wonder this place gets booked out many months out! They also take Tricare and Aetna. read more

I recently went to the ER due to the flu, which included ear problem and dizziness. I was referred to Dr. Lomax. I called and immediately made an appointment but unfortunately needed to cancel and make a new one due to a family emergency which included me having to leave the state (as sick as I was). Needless to say "Monica," the front desk person was so rude and told me, "well you won't be able to make a new appointment until May." I went elsewhere but still wanted to see Dr. Lomax so I called today. Again, Monica answered the phone, and told me I couldn't be seen until May. She wanted to know what was going on with my ear, I told her and she told me that unfortunately, if it was sudden ear loss that I'd past the two week window to be able to do anything about it. read more

I had my surgery done on the 14th. I had a mass on my parathyroid which was causing it to overreact. From the moment I walked in to their office I was treated with kindness and compassion. Jessica helped me so many times for random things I had questions on. She never got frustrated with me and helped me every time I needed something. Absolutely amazing people in the front office. My doctor was Lomax. He is the most incredible doctor I've come across in my life. He explain to me every step of what needed to happen with my procedure and if I had a concern he addressed it immediately. He was so caring and my operation when very smooth. I got to see Dr.Lomax and the experience was not great. Was in the waiting room for almost 45 minutes after my appointment. Then waited another 30 minutes to see Dr. Lomax. When I got to see Dr. Lomax he kept me in the room for a very long time to figure out what was going on. At the end, he requested an allergen test. He offered both the skin or blood work. I decided to get the blood work performed. After going to the lab a few days later to performed the blood work, I got the results via quest diagnostics 3 days later. Showed it to my primary care, all was fine. Dr. Lomax office called me 3 weeks later to informed me the results arrived. It seems that Dr Lomax just likes to make his patients wait since he can't be on time. read more

I saw Dr. Lomax about 6 years ago after the "toxic condo" incident that left me with so many health problems. He also performed surgery which worked well even if he couldn't complete all of it because there aren't instruments for passages as narrow as mine. I was impressed that he had his staff work with the hospital to really help me out in after care. It was a challenging period in my life so I needed that. Fast forward and the immune problem the toxic condo caused has now manifested in zero tolerance for fragrances. I get instant inflammation and instant migraine level pain. Might as well just punch me in the face as to come near me with perfume, lotion or other chemicals on. I had to wait about 3 months to see Dr. Lomax again but was so happy to have new insurance where he was in network! He was his usual kind self. Listened to my health concerns and some life changes I had to work around and I left with prescriptions for the products I needed to continue a regime of prevention, minimization and then full out attack on the problem when it escalates. Note to readers: Don't be offended when someone like me immediately retreats, covers their face, pulls on a mask or otherwise tries to protect themselves from the pain you are unknowningly inflicting on them. We aren't hurting you. We aren't saying you stink. We can actually like the smell but it's still like being punched in the face. I feel seriously sorry for dogs now! read more

Dr. Lomax is the best ENT physician! Our baby is 8 months old, and she has had multiple ear infections that have required multiple rounds of antibiotics. During our office visit, we appreciate that he took his time to provide us with the best care and explained everything so clearly. He was thorough in his examination and so good with our little one. We were even able to have her tested by his audiologist that day. He recommended tubes, and we were able to have her surgery scheduled the same week! No more suffering for our little one. I called for a new appointment due to an ear MRI from my doctor. The person that answered the call said she did not have a contract with my medical insurance, so they can't help me. She said they don't accept cash either. Basically she told me to screw off and don't bother them because I can't afford them. The last thing she said is "we have no appointments anyway until March 2025. Avoid these doctors at ALL costs, they're only in it for the $$$$$, and their staff is absolutely horrible. read more

I came to Advanced EN&T for a hearing test. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and thorough. The doctor did an initial exam of my ears after asking me about my concerns, then I met with a technician who performed a hearing test. She discussed the outcome with me and then I also spoke with the doctor about the outcome of my test. The overall time of my visit was 1 hour and 36 minutes- the place got busy. There is a play area for small children, a tv and plenty of up-to-date magazines to read to help you pass the time. My mother has a rare blood disorder which I have a 50% chance of inheriting. It's called HHT . I was referred by my PCP to get my nose checked out and had to wait 3 months for them to call me a week before my appointment and tell me I had to reschedule. Only the times that they wanted to reschedule me were all times I couldn't commit to because of work . Not to mention I am slightly anemic most likely because of my constant nose bleeds .After I finally freed up a few days I called them back on Sept 25th 2023 to reschedule and they said the soonest appointment I could get it as a new patient was May of 2024. I have very frequent nose bleeds and it is impeding my ability to work. Anyway I called my PCP and told them what happened so they gave me a referral to a better office which got me in to be seen two weeks later . I don't understand how a place can schedule you an appointment that's 3 months away and then they reschedule your appointment a week before . Not only that they wouldn't work with me at all concerning my off days . Basically she said there's nothing on Wednesdays or Thursdays which wouldn't have been an issue had they kept my original appointments. They got me in last minute for a clogged ear post-Covid. I got to see Dr Hilton and he was sooo thorough and professional. They ran multiple tests and he spent a lot of time with me reviewing test results and triple checking my ears. He explained all my options and was very patient. He was a breath of fresh air. My 6 year old son just got his tonsils & adenoids out, and had ear tubes placed by Dr. Hilton 2 weeks ago. The pre-op and post-op appointments went very well. Dr. Hilton is good with kids and made my son laugh and feel comfortable. The surgery was very professionally done as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Hilton if your child needs an ENT. I agree that the waiting list can be long to get in and the front office seems busy, but I have lived in Vegas since 1991, and the medical specialists have simply not been able to keep up with our population explosion that has occurred. And I don't think that's necessarily their fault. I have had trouble getting in with all sorts of specialists around town. All I can say is Dr. Hilton does excellent work. read more

In October, 2022, I met with Dr. Daniel Hilton to treat a sinus infection causing serious respiratory problems. I provided a CT scan which showed the problem in the right sinus cavity. After examining both nasal cavities, Dr. Hilton insisted the left sinus showed signs of infection. Being in respiratory distress, I requested twice that a culture swab be taken and sent to the laboratory for prescribing the proper antibiotics. Dr. Hilton refused requiring a second CT scan to determine the viability of "balloon sinuplasty", an unnecessary expensive procedure. I subsequently had my primary physician submit a culture of the right sinus, which when treated with amoxicillin completely resolved the problem. In June, 2023 after a month of constant headaches, my primary doctor recommended a Brain MRI which revealed a sphenoid sinus mucocele or lesion which requires drainage by surgery. The radiologist recommended a CT scan of the paranasal sinuses and ENT evaluation. I forwarded the MRI to Advanced Ear Nose and Throat requesting that Dr. Randall Lomax, founder and senior ENT surgeon continue to provide ongoing care. In conclusion, I was denied access to Dr. Lomax for proper treatment, stating unavailability for 9-12 months. I was also informed to continue with Dr. Hilton who misdiagnosed my condition, refused proper medical treatment, and would have performed an inappropriate procedure. I consider this unacceptable, obviously bias toward revenue above proper medical care, and intend to not let this go unresolved. read more

February 2021 I was having trouble speaking because I had a tumor in my vocal cord and I was devastated. I went to see Dr Daniel Hilton and from the first moment I saw him I knew that he was going to help me, thank God that he did. He preformed surgery on my vocal cord and removed my tumor making my voice come back. He was so gentle and friendly with me that I felt like he was family. He is a tremendous Doctor! The gal just kept repeating over and over again that the first available appointment for either physician was at the end of August. Waited 6 months to see this doctor. Have been having tonsil issues, getting strep more often and my hearing was getting affected. My primary said my tonsils needed to come out and so did a couple ER docs. The appointment came and he didn't look interested at all in helping, set me up for a hearing test a month later where the doctor who did the test said there's obvious hearing issues. But when it came to the ENT doc himself he said I was fine and everything looked good. Gave me supplement samples for circulation (how would he know when he hasn't even taken the time to find out if that's even an issue.) anyways since then I've been to the ER twice for breathing issues, laryngitis and bronchial infections. My kissing tonsils are constricting my airway, I've been given steroids on multiple occasions and inhalers to help while I wait for a referral to another ENT. Hopefully one that will actual listen and help. read more
