He said they'd tunnel 6 ft under the foundation of the property, putting someone completely under the house without looking at how it was built or the current state of it. When I asked him questions he was clearly annoyed with me. We've had lead pipes in places, but when I asked about it he said we have good water pressure so I don't need to worry about lead. That makes no sense. After that I stopped asking because I figured we would just be wasting time. I knew at that point I wasn't using this company. Recently, I found a true gem - Pat's Plumbing. When I flushed the toilet, the water kept running in the tank. I had to turn off the main water line to get it to stop. When I called Pat's Plumbing, Pat answered the phone. An appointment was made and he showed up as scheduled. Pat assessed the situation, told me what needed to be done, and quoted a price. Upon approval, he quickly got to work. He brought in all the necessary parts and equipment and proceeded with the repair. While working, I had several questions which he honestly responded to and also offered suggestions. Even though Pat was there to fix the toilet, I had another problem area - the valves on the washer. One valve had broken off and the other valve leaked when the water was turned on. He noted that the water supply lines (rubber hoses) were very old and should be replaced before they burst. As before, he determined what needed to be done and re-quoted a price for both jobs. With his experience and knowledge, he educated me as the repairs were being done. I like that he had the patience to have a two-way conversation instead of no communication at all. As each repair was completed, he tested it out to make sure it was okay. He also cleaned up any mess afterwards After everything was completed, he did a final walk-through and retested everything to our satisfaction.
