I do not recommend these windows. The trim around the windows fall out. I have had the owner come out several times to fix these. The trim snaps in and it should be caulked in so that i dont have to go through years of aggravation. The owner Bill's temperament sucks and he says he goes to church ! read more

We had our kitchen window and sliding glass door installed. We got a quote we agreed to, and paid half down, other half to be paid at the completion of the job. (have this in writing) To our surprise, when the job was done we were charged $900 more than the 2nd half of our payment we were supposed to pay. Here we were, job completed and Bill asking for the 2nd payment standing in our living room. When we told him that this is not he amount we agreed and signed to, he referred us to the office. We talked to the office and they insisted that that's the price of the job, and when we showed her the paperwork and the amount we agreed to, she said to take it up with Bill. The girl in the office (I think Kelly) said she sent us an email with this higher amount; unfortunately we never got the email - had we gotten it we would have called instantly and correct the "error". The reason we chose them was because the other bids were higher, plus they had good reviews here. Now we were charged pretty much the same amount the others quoted us. After going back and forth, office, Bill, office, Bill, Bill, Office - it was obvious we were not getting anywhere. In the end they took off a little over $300 off the bill, but we still ended up paying $600 more than we agreed to. By law, and per the contract WE SIGNED, we were really not obligated to pay more than we originally agreed to. The first thing that comes to mind is that this is something they do to many people but since none of the other reviews mentioned a similar issue, we let it go. Obviously, someone made a mistake, but in the end we agreed to pay more, and they waved about 30% of the $900 they overcharged us. We're still petty upset about this, and were going to give a 1 star rating, however we wanted to be fair, and gave 3 stars because they did a really nice job. They came on time, did the work, cleaned up very nicely. Bill is great to work with. So we would recommend them for the work they did, but make sure you are completely clear with Bill and the office about what the final amount of the job will be and get it all in writing. read more

Bill the owner with two helpers installed 7 windows and 2 sliding doors in 4 days. This job required cutting an opening through a wall to install one of the sliding glass doors and add electricity for lighting. The other large 12-foot slider went in with ease. Both doors look as if they have always been there. Windows were made smaller and some narrower. There was great attention paid to detail, craftsmanship and keeping my home clean during construction. I truly appreciated that. From our first meeting through the final completion, Bill took the time to educate me. He thoroughly explained the different lines of windows/doors he carried and why. I replaced all of the windows in my house and got two estimates. Bill was definitely the better deal and I liked the Amsco windows he put in because the frames are thinner and look better. I also liked that Amsco offers a lifetime warranty on the glass! Milgard doesn't for their lower price level windows! They showed up on time and were very efficient and professional. I love my new windows! The only reason I gave them four instead of 5 stars was that they could have cleaned up a little better outside. Met Bill at the TO street fair. Came out and did a very comprehensive study of our house, and window/door needs. Bill worked out several options, all at a reasonable price. Had our upstairs window done, and added french doors to our bedroom balcony. The windows look absolutely amazing. The doors look even better. The noise reduction is the first thing you notice. Class act business. JR walked my wife and I through the entire line of windows and explained the benefits of each. Luckily, I was able to take advantage of Simonton's "upgrade" during the month of March. I used the HERO program and off we went. The guys came and finished the job in ~ 15hrs. All windows look AWESOME! The difference in interior temperature was as expected and the outer appearance is reinvigorating considering I have been in the house for 22 years. The only issue I had was with the HERO program. There are some hidden charges (document/loan fees) that I was unaware of but in all fairness, it is what it is. Overall Clear choice windows is awesome. JR is a class act and a no pressure, NO BULL$HIT business owner that really seems to care about his customers. This was obvious to me from the first 5 minutes of having him in my home. It's been a year now since I had my bay windows installed. I waited to review to see how they're holding up. The customer service was great when they were trying to get my business. In fact, Cathy was wonderful! Unfortunately, not everything turned out great. I asked about sub contractors and I was told they use their own employees. That was not the case, The stucco guy was not him employee. I never knew when the stucco guy was showing up ( I needed to know because I have a teen daughter at home and we need to be aware). Or, he didn't show when I was told he would. He also left the brickwork on my chime a mess with the excess stucco and dried stucco left all over my flower bed. Not to mention, their lunch trash was left in my yard. I mentioned it to Cathy, I'm sure nothing was fine, at least that I'm aware of. Also, the bases on the outside that are underneath the bay window in unequal to each other. I didn't notice it until we painted the stucco, white didn't show this. Nothing I can do about it now, it's dried. A few days after installation, the molding around the inside windows began to separate. I called regarding this. Cathy told me they would come out to fix it because that's the professional thing to do. I did mention that if I was told what was used to attach it my husband could probably fix it. I later got an email from the owner about what he used. I guess he decided not to be professional that day. It's been a year, the molding is starting to come off the inside windows. I don't think that should happen with a professional installation. Needless to say, I'm not perfectly happy with this company. I wouldn't hire them again. The best thing about this company is Cathy, but that's not what I paid for. read more

This review is long overdue! Bill and his amazing team replaced all of our windows, swapped out a patio slider with a window, replaced a window with a French door and built up two-bedroom windows. They were so quick, efficient and clean, when they left we would not have known they had been there except for our new windows which are beautiful! Instantly, we noticed the noise reduction! Over the year we realized how much cooler our home was during the hot summer months and our A/C use was tremendously reduced. As well in the winter, we did not needed to use our heater as often. I was introduced to this company at a home show in Westlake and met Mike, the company rep. He did a great job selling us on his company and product. Soon after we arranged for an in-house estimate with Bill, the company owner. He was on time (a big plus with us), thorough and quick with a reasonable cost estimate. A time was chosen for installation and Bill and Mike did the install over two days. I thought there would be some collateral damage around the window frames (on stucco & wood), but it was a totally clean installation and cleanup. I moved into my house over a year ago, and recently I found that one of the windows had "crackled." The previous owner had left me warranty information, but frankly I was not sure Clear Choice would honor that warranty since I was not the original owner, and the windows had been installed several years ago. Clear Choice's response was immediate and direct--yes,of course, they would honor the warranty. I sent them pictures of the window, and Bill and his assistant arrived today and quickly completed the work (no mess, no fuss).
