REVIEW DESCRIPTION I feel the office was prompt and courtesy. I have a coplicated history and I should have brought my previous records there for the phsician to overlook. However, this was not stressed at time I made the appointment. This will be recitfied soon. Dr. Hogan listens, advises and really gets to the point of "dry eye suffers" she offers constrctive advise and really wants to address each and evey issue you are having. Don't get me wrong. I love my eye doctor. She take very good care of me. The staff specifically the older women , are so rude when I go there. I called in advanced to see if I can take my glasses there to get them fixed. They tell me I can come yesterday or today, when I called on the phone. I get there and they direct me to the Asian lady. She wasn't rude but looks confused when I asked if they were able to fix them. Never have I ever HAD TO SIGN A CONTRACT. It stated that they weren't liable if anything were to happen to my glasses. She flags down the white older lady that was working 11/7/23 @3:30 pm. Said she's afraid to touch them. Mind you all they need to do is straighten the metal piece on the glasses and add a new screw. No gashes on the lens. Whatsoever. The white lady not knowing I was sitting there rude with attitude sates " I wouldn't have taken those glasses" now I have a horrible gut feeling bc she didn't want to take them in the first place. I got my glasses in summer of 2023. Not even a year with my glasses. I didn't scratch them. She brings them back with a big ass fucking gash. On the left lens. My hard earned money down the drain. Has the fuckin nerve to ask me. "How old are these". I can't afford a new pair right now. I'm honestly so disappointed. This is an eye doctor that I have been going to since childhood. Way before they moved to 103rd and Cicero. Over the past years their customer service has not been giving. I always have a bad experience every time I go with the staff up front. I give them benefit of the doubt bc they are busy. But everytime I go? I've been a patient here since a child. Which is messed up bc my eye doctor is amazing. She knows how to care for my eyes. I was skeptical of this place when I walked in. My old eye place (which is just too far away) had a huge reception area, fully staffed, and a very very large selection of frames. This place didn't look like much to begin with. The receptionist was busy, but friendly, and was dealing with an unfriendly customer at the time - which she handled beautifully. I was early for my appointment, so I looked at frames while I waited. They had several that I liked, but didn't have prices on them - which I wish they did - frames can be ungodly expensive. My eye doctor was amazing. I really enjoyed working with her, very personable. Also, they have a new gadget for testing, so you don't have to do the 'puff of air'. Anway, I got new contacts and ordered glasses and was happily surprised with the cost of it all. This place was much cheaper than where I used to go. Very happy with the service. read more

Where have you been all my life! The staff was friendly. They took me back within 10 minutes of my arrival. The medical assist who dealt with me was personable and understanding. The doctor was magnificent. Her explanation of my images as well as the exam was top notch. She was clear and concise and listen to all my questions and concerns. I had a great experience visiting this eye doctor for the first time. My visit was for an eye exam. The staff and doctor were all exceptionally friendly. I only gave 4 stars because there were many times I had to wait. I had to wait about 25 mins to be called for my appt and I had to wait as the doctor was making her rounds. Overall, great facility and I would still recommend. I would like to note that Erin Brennan was also amazing in helping me make a glasses frame selection. She was very personable and transparent recommending what was best suitable for my eye prescription. read more

This is my second review of this practice because I like it so much. Dr. Hogan is excellent, takes the the time to talk with you, explain things, and answer all of your questions even if you're the last patient of the day. I've also never had any issues with the correctness of my prescription or the making of glasses. This cannot be said for other practices which is why I switched to Dr Hogan's practice a few years ago. I highly recommend this practice and have a positive experience everyone I go here. read more

My recent experience with this practice was great! My 2 children and myself saw Dr. Tiffany Polanek. She was not fake nice but genuinely good with my kiddos. I saw her for a concern regarding my left contact I had recently be prescribed by a DO at a different practice (I just didn't want to go back to that practice anymore). The staff was very kind. I'm unable to comment regarding any other doctors at this practice. I'm assuming they're equally as nice. The atmosphere of the practice is very welcoming as well. Doctors are great. However the service for glasses is a bit slow. Their reps sure take the their time which can be too much time.

I am writing this review for my Mom and Uncle who came here to see Dr Bob on my recommendation. They both loved how friendly and helpful everyone was (and still is) to them. My Mom had a lot of trouble with her contacts and had to go back to the office several times, but Dr bob and his staff worked with her until she got comfortable wearing them. As for my Uncle, he has a rare eye condition that makes him nearly blind. Dr Bob met with him a couple times and prescribed him hard contacts lenses because he said they would help him see better than eyeglasses. It was a trying process for my uncle because his eye condition made it even more difficult for him to get his contacts in and out. It took a few months for him to get the hang of it, but his vision has never been better and his quality of life has really improved. Thank You Dr. Bob read more

Was there over a year ago - it was a mess. They offered me some things on my son's glasses for blue light - with out telling me the price. I should have asked - on me. Then they charged me double what I should have had to pay out of pocket. I was told my insurance was not who I said it was. They claimed I was with someone else. I was shocked and called the "new" company - they had no record of me, the one they said was my old one - Davis - did. Davis was my current insurance and it never changed. I had to have Davis call them and then AEP had to refund me money. I spent a lot of time on the phone with both insurance companies and AEP trying to make sure that AEP billed the right company so they could get paid. AEP originally billed the other "new" insurance when they thought it was them and later the same day correctly billed Davis - but only after I made sure they billed the right company so they could get paid (and I could get my $200 back!) I've brought my oldest son here for the past two years. When my youngest had to get an eye exam, I tried to get him an appointment but I waited until the last minute and couldn't a time that worked with my schedule. I regret procrastinating!!! I had to take him down the block to American vision. It did not even compare to this place at all. This other place lacked in customer service and is way more expensive than this Advanced Eyecare. Extremely happy I made the switch! I was looking for a new place to take my family for routine exams and glasses for those of us who need them. Our first appointment for my daughter a few weeks ago went great! From the moment you walk in and out the door everyone is very polite, professional and helpful. Stopped in the other day to drop something off and today to pick up her glasses and received they exact same treatment as the first visit. I complimented them today on their superior customer service. I was with our previous eye doctor for three years and since the very get-go a few staff members always rubbed me the wrong way. I wish I could give Dr. Hogan and staff a 10 star review. I don't even know where to start but I want to share my story. In 2015 I was diagnosed with post lasik ectasia in my left eye. I started loosing vision with time and made my daily activities difficult to accomplish. I started seeking help early 2017. I was introduced to scleral lenses by a different doctor and was happy with the significant vision improvement I obtained with the scleral lense, unfortunately within weeks I began having problems with them. I no longer had perfect vision and would develop a thick deposit film over the lenses which made it impossible to see out of. The doctor who had fit me for these lenses gave me no hope and said there was nothing to do. He said it was my body rejecting the lenses. I was crushed thinking this was it and my alternative would be a corneal transplant in the future which is not ideal, I'm only 30years old and vision is very important to me. I went from 20/20 to 20/800. Upon having an routine eye exam late 2017, I was referred to Dr. Casey Hogan for a second opinion. I was hesitant but decided to give it another shot. BEST DECISION I ever made. I can't even put in words how amazing this experience has been thus so far and it's only the beginning. She is so passionate about helping me reach the best vision possible. Turns out I DID HAVE OPTIONS and I've learned so much from her already. I had my fitting today and once again, I CAN SEE CLEARLY! We are not even done yet and can't wait to have my new pair of scleral lenses customized for my eyes. Definitely a life changing experience.
