I had a wonderful experience here. After my typical eye doctor wasn't available for a checkup my sister advised I give this place a shot. I'm glad I did, they were more than courteous on the initial phone call and advised me to arrive early to do some paperwork. They confirmed my appointment 2x, and even got me in earlier. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with Wear Eyewear of Orland Park over a prescription lens order that took over five months and eight lab attempts to resolve. On 12/29/25, I ordered lightly tinted prescription lenses using my VSP allowance. Over the next five months, the lenses were sent back to the lab repeatedly: the tint was too dark, then the lenses didn't fit into the frame properly, then the tint was wrong again, then the prescription itself was incorrect. Staff member,Kristy, handled most exchanges and confirmed the lab had already proven it could produce the correct tint, since I'd received it correctly once and kept that pair as a reference sample. I repeatedly asked for this matter to be escalated to the District Manager (Jessica), I was told she was informed but she never contacted me directly. On 5/9/26, Kenny left a voicemail claiming the lab could not make the tint any lighter and that I'd have to accept the lenses as-is or with no tint -- despite clear proof otherwise. When I called back, he offered no real solution and focused only on what was outside his "reach." After further attempts, the tint was finally corrected on 5/29/26, but then the prescription needed fixing. When I picked up the glasses on 6/26/26, the tint was missing entirely, the lenses weren't thinned as paid for, and the prescription was still wrong. At that point I requested a full refund including what my insurance company paid. My out-of-pocket refund was processed and arrangements to have my exhausted 2025 VSP lens allowance was restored. This process cost me six months of time, patience, gas, and no working product to show for it. Customer service was poor, the lab was slow and inadequate, and upper management did not meaningfully engage. I will not return to this company and will not recommend it to others who are looking to order prescription lenses. This was my worst experience ordering lenses. This should not have taken 6 months to resolve and walk away without the lenses I ordered and paid for. The only redeeming part of my visit was Dr. Jones. The eye exam itself was professional and thorough. It is a shame that such a great doctor is backed by such an incredibly frustrating and broken ordering system. It took over 4 weeks to receive my contacts. Definitely shouldn't have taken that long. I tried giving them another chance and ordered glasses. Big mistake!! This time I waited 5 weeks before I went in and received a refund for glasses that never came in. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous. Dr. Jones was wonderful, but the staff including the manager really let you down. Their brand promise on their website promises to deliver outstanding care and quality service. I have been going to Wear Eyewear in Orland for as long as I can remember. Dr Jones is the best! He listens to you and has always given great exams. Sadly, now that the company has become a corporate office the office staff has disintegrated. They take your money and then send you a bill for the service you have already paid for! They then tell you they will take care of it which they don't! They say they'll call you back, they don't! I have aways recommended this location. If they can't get the billing right, how can anyone be confident they'll get the glasses right! read more

The absolute best. I followed Dr. Jones from the downtown location to the Orland Park location. It's an hour away for me and I would be willing to drive further. I love this Dr Jordan and his relatability. Staff is nice and always pleasant. The only "issue" is that their glasses are definitely higher end and costly. They look so nice that you'll have a hard time going to other places and settling for something cheaper. I've decided that to avoid giving in to these expensive brands, I'll just do my exams and walk right out. Where's Richard Gere when you need him to deal with inexplicably snobby sales people? I went in to find glasses. I have a serious eye care needs and this place was recommended. It's a very very small place. Your kitchen is probably bigger. The salesperson did not greet me. In fact, she actively ignored me. There was another customer there when I walked in so I just looked around and tried to browse and be patient and polite. After about five minutes, I thought it was weird. The place is so small it's like saying you just didn't see the other person in the elevator with you. A few more minutes without even an I'll be with you next, or let me know if you need anything, or do you have an appointment - and I decided if this is how you're treated when you're new and trying to start the relationship it cannot be a good long term place to be. As I write this, said saleswoman is busy taking her vape break outside the door. I was told this was a high quality place - but feels like lowbrow suburbs pretending to be cool. read more

Preface: I have a severe adverse reaction to doctors. I have seen great ones, good ones and quite a few bad ones. Unfortunately, the bad ones have made a lasting impression on me. So when I noticed that I had been squinting I bit more, I was a bit apprehensive of setting up an eye appointment. Nevertheless, I knew it had been a couple of years, since I got my eyes checked and I needed to get new glasses and a new eye doctor. I did my research and found Dr. Jones. All the reviews I had read, all said great things about him, but I was still a bit wary. You see, for another ailment I had relied on supposed good reviews for another doctor and that did not turn out well. So to say that I was taking everything with a grain of salt, that would be putting it mildly. So what I am about state, I state with total honesty, this was by far the FUNEST and COOLEST eye appointment ever! The staff was very nice and was able to ensure that the facility did take my insurance. I had arrived a few minutes early to fill out paperwork and Dr. Jones greeted me right away. Somehow, in a matter of minutes he had me feel so at ease and comfortable that all my nervousness drifted away. He literally had me laughing non-stop! Dr. Jones explained how everything was done using similar techniques for when someone decides to get lasik, so there was no need for the dreaded puff test. I also really loved how he explained each process and how it would help identify what needed to be done to help improve my vision. I was so impressed by the different methods he used, that I had no doubt that I would be seeing much more clearly. Plus, the facility let me keep my old frames! It was so rare to not be pressured into buying something that I don't need. All I have to say is that Dr. Jones is the real deal! I have worn glasses all my life and have seen my fair share of optometrists and Dr. Jones is by far the best. As long as this present location keeps taking my insurance, I will be going here forever. Dr. Jordan Jones is without a doubt the best optometrist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. In my 39 years, I've seen a lot of em. My 10 year old son had just received an unknown diagnosis from Visionworks which, of course, left me frantic. Would he go blind? Would he need surgery? Would he be able to function with his current eyesight? The doctor at Visionworks didn't have an answer for any of my questions. That's when I called Wear Eyewear. I explained the situation and they must've heard how scared I was because they fit us into their busy schedule that same day. When we arrived, they couldn't have been nicer. Then we met the doctor and what a breath of fresh air! He took his time with my son. Made him feel comfortable and at ease...unlike the other doctor who scared the daylights out of my son. I've been wearing glasses since 1983, and I will say hands down Dr. Jones is the best eye doctor I've ever had. I'll never go anywhere else! I have a very difficult prescription, and he understands my vision perfectly. Also, you can tell he really loves what he does. This office is top-notch with the most modern equipment. Terrible service except the Dr. I went back in December, 2010 and the owner and his brother sold me some Prada sunglasses that were 30% more than the Prada website. I brought this to the owner's attention and he was like I have to make some money. I couldn't believe it. I also went for some contact lenses several weeks later, and I realized that the owner gave me some expired trials. Like the other office in River North; the staff is rude and doesn't know what they are doing. The selection is dated and overpriced because the owner is trying to make money. The owner is busy trying to be America's Next Top $$$$$ to care about running a business. The eye doctor should consider leaving this business. I had the best experience here. Everyone was so nice. The doctor "Jordan" explained everything to me during the exam, answered my questions and afterwards him and the staff spent an additional 20 minutes with me helping me pick out my frames because I have a hard time with it. I didn't feel pressure or rushed to make a decision. I will definitely be returning and recommend them. I usually go to places in the mall for glasses but this was a totally different experience, very personalized with the best care I have ever received, and my glasses were done in only a few days.
