The manager Lupe got things on track and was professional, friendly and helpful regarding frame suggestions. I see why they got good reviews. Team seem to work well together. While I was standing in line waiting to be helped, a staff member walked right past me and asked the person behind me if they needed assistance. Moments like that make me feel invisible. The older doctor was not pleasant, and I felt rushed throughout my appointment. He didn't even examine my eyes, which was one of the reasons I came in. As a Black woman, I expect the same level of respect, attention, and quality of care as every other patient. Every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued regardless of the color of their skin. I sincerely hope this office reflects on how patients are treated so that everyone receives the same standard of care.

Then she tells me that the frames I ordered were discontinued but the lab was trying to get them but had communicated the status. Then, she told me that they had Been sent from the lab ten days ago but nobody knew where they were. I wonder if anyone was ever going to tell me I was not going to get my glasses. One can tell the standards are high at this practice, nice selection of frames and everything is reasonably priced. I was quite impressed to see a business run to this level of apparent perfection. Simply excellent! FOLLOW-UP Disappointed that my bifocals where significantly off focus after having an eye exam and prescription a week earlier. Had to return to have the issue rectified. They need to make the lenses another mm deeper and regrind. Also need to return a second time to pick-up the new glasses. Nobody stepped up to the plate to say "we screwed up" or "we are sorry to inconvenience you." That said, I rescind my comments about the high standards. The staff originally added 3 mm of depth to my glasses and I have a strong suspicion it was the cause of the problem. The D.O. confirmed the prescription was accurate after checking my eyes a second time. Bingo! These mistakes should not occur and are avoidable if one knows what the lab will do when making alterations to a lens order. An apology would have gone a long way in this particular case. That said, I still highly recommend Dr. Vroegh for your eye care needs.

In the past, my eye doctor appointments have been only a couple of minutes because the tech did all of the work. Not the case here. She was sure to explain all of the options and patiently answered all of my questions. Back to Mary to pick new frames. She showed me some options, but let me make choices too. It was like hanging out with a buddy. Fantastic selection of glasses! She explained all of my insurance benefits to me and had me on my way in no time. My new glasses came in about a week later. Although the glasses were really cute, I just couldn't wear them. They were too heavy and didn't fit right. I went into the office a few times to have them adjusted. Ask a lot of questions and then scale back what's unnecessary so you don't get roped into a $700 bill. Then, there was something wrong with the lenses in one of the pairs the glasses I bought there. My vision was blurry when viewing things 20 ft away. When I went back, she blamed it on how the prescription was written up. To correct it, she said it would be a few hundred dollars more.
