Parking has also never been an issue, which makes visiting convenient. That said, I recently decided to take a chance on a real hair wig for $500, and I truly regret it. When I tried to lightly comb out some tangles, the wig started breaking apart--the middle part began peeling off almost immediately. To make matters worse, the wig is non-refundable. My hair was ruined for my birthday party, which was incredibly disappointing. On top of that, during checkout the cashier told me my total was about $579. I had only purchased the wig, a comb, and a wig holder, yet she had added a $25 hair maintenance spray without asking. When I questioned it, she acted like it was acceptable to include it without my consent. While their staff is friendly and the shop is convenient, the poor quality of the wig and dishonest checkout experience mean I won't be coming back.

After purchasing a bundle of hair, I immediately noticed that the texture was rough once I got to my car. I returned to the store right away to exchange it for a different product. When I attempted to make the exchange, I was informed that there was a $2 price difference. The employee told me that I could not simply pay the difference with my card because the store requires a minimum purchase of $10 for card transactions. She also stated that the store does not provide refunds. Fortunately, I had cash available, but the situation was handled in an unprofessional manner. In addition, the employee's attitude throughout the interaction was unpleasant. I felt as though I was being closely watched and followed throughout the store, which made me uncomfortable and unwelcome. I was carrying no purse, bags, or anything that would justify such treatment. To make matters worse, when I asked to use the restroom, I was initially told that the store did not have one. However, shortly afterward, an employee called someone over with a key to unlock an outside restroom for me. Rather than allowing me to use the restroom and return the key afterward, they escorted me to the restroom themselves, unlocked it, and instructed me to close the door behind me. The entire interaction left me feeling as though I was not trusted as a customer. Another concern is that many of the items in the store did not appear to have visible prices. As a customer, I expect clear and consistent pricing on merchandise. The lack of posted prices made me uncomfortable and raised concerns about transparency and fairness. What concerns me most is that businesses that sell products primarily to the Black community should treat their customers with respect and appreciation. The people who support these businesses deserve courteous, professional service, not suspicion, hostility, or poor treatment. Unfortunately, my experience reflected the opposite. I left feeling disrespected, profiled, and undervalued as a paying customer.

When there is a line, bring more cashiers. This is common sense. The most amazing part of this disaster is, as someone that has worked customer service and management, the cashier should have been apologetic rather than snarky. Next time I'll order what I need from somewhere else and wait in the comfort of my home. I'd have walked if I didn't desperately need my purchase.
