His tune soon changed once he found out that I am of Jewish descent. I had scheduled a laparoscopic cholecystectomy and come day of surgery, he left me high and dry due to the lack of professionalism and transparency on the part of him and his office. He did not even show his face that day, no apologies, nothing. I left without taking care of my infected gallbladder and having had to start over and find another surgeon. I would NEVER in a million years go to have him operate on my body and nor should you. If you want a real surgeon, go to Dr Frank C Candela in West Hills. He is the Chief of Staff at West Hills Hospital and a true gentleman who knows what he's doing and with such great professionalism. He did such an impeccable job on my surgery and everything went as smooth as possible. Dr Jabour did me a huge favor to not operate on me that day. So delighted to have met and have Dr Candela take care of me in my great time of need.

One of the biggest issues was the lack of transparency regarding billing. We were quoted a price for my mother's physical therapy and agreed to that amount. Just two days later, we were presented with a bill that was approximately 40% higher than the quoted price, with no prior discussion or approval. Families deserve accurate pricing and should not be surprised with significant increases after they've already agreed to the cost. Even more concerning was a medication incident. A nurse attempted to give my mother medication intended for dementia, even though she has never been prescribed or taken that medication. My mother questioned it and repeatedly requested to speak with a supervisor. Despite her concerns, the nurse returned multiple times attempting to administer the medication before finally contacting a supervisor after several requests. We found this extremely troubling. To make matters worse, when a supervisor finally became involved, there was no meaningful apology, no clear explanation of how the error occurred, and we were not allowed to file a formal complaint regarding the incident. Medication safety, transparent billing, and listening to patients and their families are fundamental responsibilities of any healthcare facility. Based on our experience, Granada Hills Health Center fell short in all three areas. I hope the facility takes these concerns seriously and improves its communication, billing practices, and patient safety procedures so that other families do not have a similar experience.

My mom went to both Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and neither of them were able to help her with her high blood pressure that would even rise to 200+, intense swelling, coming out of dialysis she felt absolutely horrid. Then Covid hit. At this time her doctor was Dr. Haggiagi and he became completely unavailable. We couldn't even get an appointment by phone. My mom was feeling her worst with no doctor's help. Even when she went in feeling very hot the nurses started scaring her that she had menopause. She only just turned 50. At the new center we found out the machine's have the ability to control the temperature! Why didn't this center help her with the temperature settings? After weeks of the pressure passing 200 and no doctor's help because the doctor was unavailable, but mother ended up needing to go the hospital in emergency. She went into cardiac arrest and had water in her lungs. Her heart stopped. She was intubated and was on sedatives for days before they took out the tube. She literally almost died. The doctor's Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and the center almost killed my mom because they couldn't treat her. I found her a new doctor and a new center. Her blood pressure is NORMAL and NO swelling. She comes out of dialysis feeling normal. Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and this center failed my mom. I do not recommend this place in the least bit.

My technician, Ray P (?) Is the best for a lady like me who has shied away from needles all my life. He is so patient with me to the point that I get uncomfortable with other staff members when he is away. Of course the other staff are wonderful too.....my RN, Kim, Mona and Mildred and the other Techs, Mike and Gracie take very good care of me during my weekly visits. Thanks Burbank Dialysis for employing a wonderful staff! One more note....Janice, the Social Worker there is stellar. She is so knowledgeable and informative. She keeps me up to date with everything involving my road to recovery. Also, my nutritionist, Jamie is wonderful too. I could go on and on! Keep up the great work! Denise

One of the Pat asst/aide always have the biggest smile.... maede. It does make a HUGE difference when you feel welcome. One thing to add, ai know front desk reps gets busy but can smile more & when greeting patients to actually look up not just say welcome but looking down. That's how employees greet at retail stores. Throughout his treatment, we followed the clinic's policies exactly as they were explained to us. At our first appointment, we were informed that my son would attend therapy sessions independently while a parent or guardian remained in the waiting room. We were also told that an adult over the age of 18 would need to be present during evaluation appointments. My husband typically brought our son to his therapy sessions and waited in the lobby while our son completed treatment, and we never had any issues. Recently, the clinic moved to a new location. During our first visit at the new facility, my son had a scheduled evaluation appointment. My husband was unavailable that day, so I brought my son along with my two younger children, including my infant in a stroller. Because it was an evaluation appointment, I understood that I needed to accompany my son to the treatment area. When my son's name was called, I followed him to the back with my younger children. A staff member at the front desk immediately told me that I could not bring my children back there. I explained that my children were very young and that I could not leave them unattended in the waiting room. As I continued toward the treatment area, she repeated that I should not bring them and stated, "Next time, don't bring them." I approached her to clarify what she meant because I thought I may have misunderstood. She again stated that I should not bring my children to future appointments. I explained that I rarely attend these appointments because I am home caring for my younger children, that my husband normally brings our son, and that I was only present because this was an evaluation appointment requiring an adult to accompany him. I also explained that I had no one available to watch my children and could not leave an infant and young child alone in the waiting room. After the appointment, I spoke with another front desk employee regarding the interaction. Instead of addressing my concern, I was told that the reason the staff member said not to bring my children was because they could not directly tell me to hire a babysitter. I found this response extremely unprofessional and insensitive. Not every family has access to childcare, and suggesting that parents simply find a babysitter is not a reasonable solution. If this facility has a policy prohibiting children from accompanying a parent during evaluation appointments, that policy should be clearly communicated before appointments are scheduled. Families should be informed in advance so they can make other arrangements or seek care elsewhere if necessary. My concern is not about having rules or policies. It is about how the situation was handled. The interaction lacked professionalism, understanding, and basic courtesy toward a parent who was simply trying to comply with the clinic's requirements while caring for young children. Parents considering this facility should ask about its policies regarding children before scheduling appointments.

From the first day, we felt more like it was more of a family than anything I could have imagined. Ray helped get my father situated in a private room as he needed a lot of care, He took the time to, as this was our first experience, walked us through the process. He even helped when my father was being discharged, allowing him to temporarily keep the wheelchair until home healthcare got one delivered, even arranged to get it pick up!! Coming there directly from the hospital, we didn't know what to think, but they immediately integrated him and started him on a road to recovery. All the staff there were so amazing, so compassionate and you were made to feel special. I wish I could remember every one's name and give them a shout out as they all deserve to be acknowledged as it is such a tough job. There were some people there who truly went above and beyond. Carmen Carbajal (Activities Coordinador) is always checking in and making sure my dad was not only okay but trying to include him on all the activities, making feel so much less than a nursing home!! Racheal Yedigye (LVN) was the administering nurse making sure my father got all the correct medication and always kept us in the loop so we could monitor and advocate for any changes, she always checked in on him even when not on her rounds and both she and Carmen keep in touch even asking to see visit after he left the facility!! Gigi Gonzalez (LVN) was constantly aware of my father's needs and was always available for us to get up to date status and always made sure his wounds were treated and helped make him comfortable. Michael Mason (LVN) was my point man at the front desk, he always took care of any questions or problems we had and always facilitated helping us any paperwork or made sure we were connected to the best person to help. Roseleen in physical therapy made sure my father was getting the therapy he needed, she always made sure he was getting his exercise..... even when he would try to get out of the therapy, she wouldn't take no for an answer and helped push him to do what he needed to get on the road to recovery. And Arturo Clara (housekeeping/maintenance), no matter what we needed, he was always there to quickly get anybaccommodations fixed or re supplied, when there was a late room switch, he quickly got a room ready, and always with a smile & a nod... Again so many other staff there that went above and beyond working tirelessly to help all the patients.. they all have my admiration & heartfelt thanks!
