Had an unfortunate experience here. The other reviews are accurate - the building is rundown, dark and not really a place I want to be shoved into a tiny claustrophobic tube. I must say the staff have all been wonderful (nothing bad to say there). However when I went for my mri the room was dark, machine outdated and extremely warm inside. I attempted to push the call button MULTIPLE times to let my scanner know I was way too hot but got no response. Of course, panic set in so I stared to move around thinking that would get his attention - still no. After a few minutes I was done and literally crawled out of the MRI. Someone finally came in but I was already out of the tube. When I showed him the call light didn't work he had to reset the entire machine. I decided not to finish my scan and won't be back. He was very caring and I appreciated that. But def don't want to go back in a machine that is hot, tight and doesn't have working buttons. Please fix that so other patients don't have to experience that panic. read more

This clinic is in violation of HIPAA. They refuse to give my personal results claiming policy is only to give to your doctor or to wait 2 weeks. This is illegal. If you wonder why 2 weeks it's because it takes 2 weeks in writing to fole a complaint. So why wait until a doctor sees it? Because many doctors in the Lancaster area own outside clinics and seeing your results they can give you unnecessary treatments and bill your insurance. This is a common practice there. Doctors at AV hospital also own skilled nursing facilities and can keep many patients going back and forth to the hospital. This is really happening and when I questioned advanced imaging they said my doctors office approved the release. That didn't really happen because my doctor doesn't take phone calls. We as patients have rights and one is to recieve our own results. read more

5+ stars!! Very pleased with the care my 85 yr old mother received during her brain scan. The technician was very gentle with her and let me sit in the MRI by her feet so that she could feel me touching her. It was a 45 min procedure so keeping her calm was a priority. I can't say enough great things about this location & the staff. I was very pleased. No wait, they took us in immediately. Very clean. The OPEN MRI machine was much quieter than other MRI machines. I had been here before, many years ago and was put off by the building's decor, "Mediterranean Banquet Hall circa 1970". Things were in ill repair and the lighting was dark and bulbs were missing. I had a bad hip then and needed a step to get on the X-ray machine and they didn't have one. It was shoddy and very unprofessional. I was referred here for an urgent MRI yesterday and after an hour on the phone trying to get a next day appt I finally succeeded and was told I better be prepared to wait as they had to fit me in. Alrighty then. It was not a good customer service experience. Today I arrived and the facility is still run down a decade or 2 later and not cared for. Dark. Waiting room is bigger than an apartment with older low and uncomfortable chairs lining the walls. First encounter with one of the front desk persons was good enough until the other person got off her call and asked me why I was there, totally ignoring the conversation I had already had with her peer. The changing room was like a storage room with broken locker doors. The MRI room was full of supplies and it looked disorganized and dirty. The bed was hard as a rock. It seemed to be an afterthought that a sheet was then put on it. I was given foam earplugs that didn't even start to dull the noice of the idling machine. I was given a sleeping mask that didn't come out of any wrapping so I'm not sure it it was even clean. Attendant gave me a panic button as she left the room and the machine started up. It was deafeningly loud and soul jarring. It scared me ( I've had other mris before) and sent adrenaline pouring into my bloodstream. I pushed the panic button and the attendant came in right away. She suggested I could wear a headset. I asked why she hadn't given me that with music to start. She said it wasn't music and their machine was old and the newer ones have that and they don't. This machine is a beast. Reading reviews on here i noted many drs couldn't use the poor quality scans. I also was asked to sign a form saying I knew blue shield refused to pay and that I would be responsible. They said I had to check the box and sign it but that Medicare would actually cover it. I have the highest tier G plan with Blue Shield and it covers most everything. They had me wait before going in the machine because the approval was for my ankle but the order said my calve. I had NEVER said ankle. Why did they say Blue Shield denied this procedure when they then had to call to change it. I felt like there was something underhanded going on with the insurance paperwork. Same paperwork described in a years prior review here on Yelp. Do yourself a favor...do not go here. I went to UCLA and made an appt for Friday. read more

The only reason I didn't give 1 star was because our service was quick. I can't say the same for an elder gentleman on a gurney in the center of their waiting room. He was brought in by a transfer agency and had been waiting for an hour when we showed up. He was uncomfortable and exhausted of waiting and the staff hadn't once asked if he needed anything or if he was ok. He was given another 5-10 minutes and no further empathy or support. I'm an able bodied person and can't sit for more than 30 minutes I can't imagine being strapped to a gurney and staring at the ceiling with no entertainment or comfort for more than an hour. Poor patient care in my opinion, especially to the elderly. read more

I came in for a CT scan on May16th. I got a call a day after and was told that the machine malfunctioned and the data was no good. I was told I had to go to the Palmdale location to redo the scan on a better machine. They made an appointment at the Palmdale office. Before the second test I got confirming calls and was told to fast and come early to fill out paperwork. After waiting nearly 45 minutes in Palmdale, I was told that the data from the first test was ok and there would be no retest. When I complained in Palmdale they blamed it on Valencia. I called Valencia and complained about the error and wasted trip from Santa Clarita to Palmdale the lady blamed it on Palmdale, told me she was pregnant and couldn't stand my negativity before hanging up on me. I have major heart issues and had to rest some before my drive back. Never using Advanced Imaging again!! read more

Arrived 30 minutes before our appointment which was scheduled at 2:00pm and was told that the technician would be going to lunch. I expressed that we needed to be seen at 2 PM because we had to be at work at four. The technician Robert was kind enough to take his lunch a little later and did the CT scan right on spot, you know we really appreciate his kindness and professionalism. Awful. I waited days to get a call back from them to schedule an mri. I have cancer and I can't get it taken out of me until the Drs get the mri imaging back. When I called to inquire about why they haven't reached out to me, they said "their mri machine was damaged and they don't know when they'll be back up and running, that's why I haven't gotten a call back" It's very disheartening. At the least call the patient to let them know they need to look into other options. I could have gone else where, had my imagine results in, and been scheduled for surgery already. read more

They never send images to my primary doctor's office. I asked them to send images 3 times and even my doctor's office asked them. I don't understand why they don't send images even we asked 4 times! i came for an MRI of my shoulder and the staff at the front desk where very rude and disrespectful. i had given them my insurance information a week prior and then i get to my appointment they say they can't verify it so i try to make a phone call. the receptionist was continually rushing me and then proceeds to shout at me in the lobby infront of other patients that "my appointment was at 9." (this was at 9:11 as i was on the phone with my insurance) left right then and there and will never be coming back. read more

I am writing this review because I am not sure why this establishment has only 3 stars? At the entrance of the office, I was welcomed, asked for ID and began the check-in process. The two team at members (lobby) where very professional, direct and smiles were part of the service. I had two procedures which took well over 2 hours. They were happy to care for me and made me feel as though they truly cared about me and my health. Holy cow, this office is AMAZING! My husband had to get an MRI done and everything with this office was nothing short of the way healthcare should be. When we had "issues" with our doctor getting the results (the referring doctor's office is completely incompetent), we called Advanced Imaging Center ourselves who said they had sent the results a week prior and sent them immediately again. They also said we were welcome to come and pick them up ourselves as well. We weren't about to sit around waiting, so we headed over where we were treated with such kindness and care. We got our results and called a specialist for an appointment, and we're then told we needed to get an imaging CD for an appointment the next day. I called Advanced Imaging Center back and Terrie said she would do it for us ASAP and that we could pick it up within an hour. Both Terrie and the other gal at the front desk (I didn't get her name, sorry!!) completely saved the day for my husband and we are both so grateful for their prompt assistance and care. I'm actually excited if we need to come back to Advanced Imaging Center because I know we'll have a great experience there where we, the patient, matter. Thanks again!! read more

I had an MRI done and there was one girl sitting in the back who was cussing to the front desk receptionist and was extremely unprofessional. I have never experienced customer service this bad in my life. I can tell the receptionist was very uncomfortable with her coworker screaming and cussing at her, and she was trying her best to be as professional as she could while having that rude girl with glasses and a ponytail yell at her every 5 seconds. Then a few minutes later another girl comes and starts talking bad about the front desk girl with the other lady in the back. Management should do better. I was appalled by their behavior. Overall my experience with everyone was good except for that unnecessary encounter I had to witness while I was checking in. I would have given this place a rating of 5 stars had I not experienced that situation. This place has great people working there and some rotten ones that make this place get bad reviews. The most unprofessional MRI place I have ever dealt with. I've been waiting over 4 weeks for my MRI on an open-ended machine. I've been going back and forth with these people. And they just called me and said they cannot do my MRI I've been waiting for weeks for because it keeps raining and leaking in the room where the MRI machine is. So now they want me to wait another month to get an MRI on an open machine because it's booked on that kind of machine at the Lancaster location. But since this isn't my fault if they were a professional company they would be squeezing me in for an MRI in one of their other imaging centers. Instead they want me to wait another 4 weeks while I am in pain and the doctor can do nothing for me because they are so unprofessional, And because they seem to have so many problems it's unbelievable. If you can go to another imaging center I suggest you make an appointment with some other imaging center and not this company because they are just unbelievably irresponsible about patient care. read more

Nice staff, but they are SUPER SLOW. I had an appointment and it took 45 mins to be called back. I could understand if they were busy, but there was literally no one in the lobby except me. I've been going to a different location over the years and it never took longer than 10-15 mins to be called back. I've been to Advanced Imaging a few times. Also been to Tower Imaging at Henry Mayo. Both are good but the staff at Advanced Imaging is much friendlier. They make you feel like family. Tower is not as welcoming. More clinical. As far as the procedures. Same. Difference is the time you wait to have the procedure booked. Always much faster at Advanced. Technicians are professional at both and results provided by both companies are in a timely manner. read more

First off, both tech's that did my scans were very kind and compassionate, I thought they were great. Kaiser usually contracts with Tower but they were booked for weeks out so I contacted the office manager Veronica at Advanced to see if they could, and they did, give me a verbal commitment that scans could be turned around same day. My Dr also requested results be provided STAT. Here it is 4 days later and my scans have not been viewed. Veronica now states that she is not who I spoke to, rather it was an employee who is no longer with them that made that promise. I wrote her name down when I called so I know for a fact it was her and now she is lying about it to protect her own butt and has zero concern for me as a patient. Now today she claims her supervisor went out sick so she can't promise anything or say when we will get the results. Meanwhile, the pain is getting worse and I am no closer to relief than I was weeks ago and they couldn't care less. Do not put yourself through this nightmare. read more

Within the last 3 months I have been dealing with numerous health issues and came to AIC to have my 4th and prayerfully final MRI done. I am such a phobia person when it comes to being in confined spaces. Donna was so very patient and caring each time I went for a different body part to be scanned. She explained thoroughly about the Imaging session's timing and the contrast injection she administered. Not only her professionalism but her kindness made it that much more easier for me to get it done without any complications. The staff were all very efficient and pleasant and the xray, MRI and MRI with contrast done without incident. I was referred here by the physical therapy clinic I was being treated at. I was seen by orthopedic surgeons at both USC and Glendale Adventist hospitals and told by both the the MRIs were of very poor quality and not useful. The diagnosis given in the MRI reports were not correct and the final diagnosis by both surgeons was different. Both surgeons ordered xrays at their hospitals to clarify the diagnosis. read more

My experience at Advanced Imaging was outstanding, especially considering how much anxiety I had over it. The office is very clean and Covid safety policies are in place. I reschedule my Open MRI of the brain a few times and the staff was very understanding and accommodating; never rude or annoyed. The tech thoroughly explained the process and showed me the equipment in advance of the procedure; reassuring me and giving me peace of mind. I had contrast with my exam and the doctor carefully explained each step and was very caring and sensitive. I didn't really feel the needle or experience any adverse reaction to the contrast. No one wants to lay still in a machine listening to weird sounds for close to 2 hours, so it is important to have trust in the staff and feel safe. The male technician is extremely rude. I have asthma and he kept telling me to breath normal and finally yelled it. Apparently I had to take deep breaths the entire time. Then after being in the machine for 45 minutes I had to have a contrast done, I asked if I could get a break to use the restroom and he became exasperated and didn't want me to use the restroom because he would have to do extra imaging. Ummm sorry sir, I have to use the restroom. I will never go back there again and would recommend that if you have mobility issues, health problems, asthma or have to pee go somewhere else. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The staff is extremely rude. The woman who claimed she was the manager was terrible. She told me that she would refuse me service because I was waiting at the counter being helped by one of her coworkers. She wanted me to sit but being the reason I was there in the first place, it was painful to sit. She was rude and talked to me like I was her child. I was not n extreme pain and she had zero sympathy. When I got called back I walked by employees on their phone watching YouTube or TikTok's. When I was in the imaging room I noticed that the computer had a screen up showing at least 50 different patients displaying their birthday, first and last name. The whole experience awful. It's pretty run down and dark inside . There's an old crusty wall fountain without any water running and stains on the ceilings and walls. It looks like it was an old restaurant or something old. The tech for my ultrasound was a 5star though. She was super nice,considerate and seemed to genuinely care. The receptionists were on the phone with their friends asking about their daughters in school and wouldn't hang up to check me in or go over paperwork. Warning be careful of this establishment they will lie to you and they will bump you when scheduling an appointment. I needed an MRI and I had to wait two weeks for them to give me an opening for an Open MRI machine. I also asked if I could be the first one in the machine because I'm high risk for Coronavirus they said fine come back in two weeks we will have something for you. After two weeks of waiting for my special request I go in the office and I asked am I the first one to be in the machine and they said no and then they put me in a machine that's just a regular MRI that I could have scheduled two weeks before when my doctor needed mri before I lost my insurance and my short-term disability small amount of money that was depending on . these people ruined me and I think they did a CT scan just to make extra money off my insurance company they are shady stay away from this place. read more

Advanced Imaging by far has the poorest customer service and billing department I have ever experienced with any company. After calling the billing manager Sharon for two months for being overcharged, I still can't get a call back. It is unbelievable how poor this place is run. I was originally told when I went for an MRI that they were in network for my insurance company and then come to find out they tried to bill me $2000 extra because they actually are out of network. The girl that had told me that has since been fired but I still can't get the billing manager or the owner on the phone. I recommend that you take your business elsewhere and avoid this place.
