Wow, this is the most disappointed I've been in a business in a long time. I don't typically write negative reviews but the experience I had today was absolutely unacceptable. I am having an elective surgery at the end of this month. My pre op appt is next week. My doctor's office indicated that I need a mammogram prior to my procedure. I do not have an order from a physician because it is elective and not "medically necessary". I called this business to inquire whether or not I could schedule a mammogram despite not have a physicians order. The individual I spoke to on the phone said it was "not a problem" and "I just need to provide my primary care physician's name at the appointment so they know who to send the results to". I clarified that it would be possible to schedule a mammogram without an order and I was told yes because I have a PPO insurance plan. I live in Santa Clarita but they were able to schedule me same day in West Hills. I was relived because my pre op appoint is next week on Monday morning. After driving to West Hills for nearly an hour in the rain, I was told by the receptionist that they could not compete the exam without an order. I said I was told I could by the scheduler and they said no. When I called the original phone number back absolutely zero accountability was taken. I specifically asked if I needed an order to have the exam and I was explicitly told no. When I spoke to the receptionist all she said was "sometimes the schedulers don't have the right information". This is a glaring example of incompetence and fault on part of the business. If an order is required, then the scheduler should have informed me of that and not wasted my time. Considering it is the business' mistake and not my own, I would think they would offer to make it right and schedule me ASAP to resolve the issue. No apology was given, no accountability was taken. They admit the scheduler was wrong but have done absolutely nothing to make it right. They water my time today. Absolutely abysmal experience. Please seek medical services elsewhere to avoid incompetence without accountability. read more

I called a week ago (maybe longer) to schedule an appointment. I specially told the man on the phone, 44 years old and have never had a mammogram. I advised him I have a PPO. He then begins to take my info providing him my birthdate and my insurance info. He then tells me, I have to be 44 to get a mammogram. Which should have been a red flag for me but I let him know "yep I'm 44" he scheduled the appointment! No mention of any required referrals needed. None. Here I am today, after shuffling my entire day around (on a HOLIDAY) to be present for this appointment and the lady at the front desk tells me I need a referral letter even with a PPO. Didn't I specifically tell the guy who scheduled the appointment I didn't have a referring doctor, that I have a PPO and have NEVER had a mammogram before. So I drove over here, wasted my time for nothing. She stated they need to send the results to my primary, which all they need to do is just get my primaries info from me to send the results instead of ruining my entire evening and really ticking me off. It has been 6 weeks waiting for my STAT CT RESULTS, dozen phone calls from my doctor and myself and no results. I called and told them that they need to reverse the charges to my insurance because I went somewhere else to have the test done and had to pay out of pocket. The men who I spoke to and presented himself as one of the managers. Told me they will do that. It is now 3 months later and not only did they not reverse the billing, they are billing me as well, even though they collected $97 co -payment. I filed a complaint with California Board of Radiology and BBB. As a consumer, you have choices. Do not go here! read more

A few weeks ago, I scheduled an MRI and X-ray, and before doing so, I confirmed with my insurance that the facility was "in-network." Everything was approved. I scheduled the MRI, completed the paperwork, and uploaded my insurance cards three weeks in advance. Even though an appointment wasn't required for the X-ray, I scheduled it anyway through a separate online system to complete both tasks back-to-back in the morning. A week before the appointment, I received a text from the facility's authorization department stating that the MRI had to be canceled due to insurance verification issues. This was confusing, as I have PPO coverage, and no pre-authorization was required for this specific referral from my primary care doctor, something I confirmed with my insurance twice. After several frustrating calls, I was surprised when two different billing representatives told me that, in their own words, "the department that handles insurance authorizations doesn't do their job in a timely manner." They admitted that this had been an ongoing issue, and they had repeatedly reported the problem to management, which was affecting patients' appointments. As a patient, hearing this was quite disheartening. Despite this, my MRI was eventually rescheduled, but I was advised to pay out-of-pocket and then file an insurance claim for reimbursement. This was due to their authorization department's failure to process my insurance on time, even though I only owed a small co-pay. The in-person experience at the appointment was fine. While I felt the receptionist could have been friendlier, the MRI was completed smoothly, and the X-ray staff downstairs were exceptionally kind and provided me with the imaging CDs on the spot. Ultimately, I submitted for reimbursement through my insurance due to the mismanagement in the authorization department. My only other criticism is that the facility seems outdated in terms of technology for patient intake, paperwork, and follow-up systems. While the X-ray eventually made it into my online portal, the MRI did not. This lack of a modernized system, such as MyChart integration for all services, adds unnecessary frustration. In the future, I'll opt to travel to the West Side for care, where the services are far superior compared to Santa Clarita. I can't say enough good things about my visit here. I arrived at the time they suggested, which was earlier than my actual appointment. I was greeted warmly, signed a couple of documents, and was asked to sit and wait for my appointments. I had two back to back appointments, one for a traditional X-ray and another for a CT scan. After a couple of minutes, a lab tech emerged and called my name. They took me back and quickly completed my X-ray. Then they provided detailed directions to another floor of the building to get my CT scan. Upon arrival there, I was greeted by name and promptly taken back for my CT scan. All in all, I was there less than 45 minutes in total and didn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seen. CT SCAN - VERY DISAPPOINTED - SCV RESIDENT FOR OVER 35 YEARS I had a CT Scan AT SANTA CLARITA IMAGING. First I was promised 3 days for the results, THEN I was told one week and THEN I was told TWO WEEKS to get the results. Took almost the entire 2 weeks before I obtained the result. But, only after I had make over 5 phone calls to their Office over 10 days, I even left a message for the Manager who never returned call. I had just taken my other half to Holy Cross and they had his CT Scan results in 24 hours. I called SC Imaging several times where I chose the MEDICAL RECORDS Menu choice, a FOREIGN VOICE ANSWERED EACH TIME AND ASKED FOR MY NAME AND FULL DATE OF BIRTH. I was SHOCKED. Very bad customer service I went to my scheduled appointment and filled out all the forms and went inside got ready for the scan wore their gown and the receptionist came to tell me that they do not have the authorization after I had my PP insurance called them and gave them the authorization number the day prior to my appointment I asked to speak with the manager and waited for the manager Jose for about 10 minutes and he didn't show up. Update: 8/24/2022 I highly recommend Santa Clarita Imaging Center. I drive up from the Burbank area for their service. Parking is plentiful and they accept walk ins for X-Rays. I need a cortisone shot and had to get an Xray before the Doctor can give me the cortisone shot. I walked in and was presently greeted by Lisa. I told her my situation and she said they would get me in. They were busy and I was in and out in 45 minutes. Luisa and Karen with the techs that helped me get the X-rays. They were both very friendly and welcoming. They told me were to stand and go my X-rays done in about 10 minutes. I would love to share an incredibly awesome experience I had at the Santa Clarita Imaging Center.I needed to get an MRI on my left foot ( heel) and ankle due to Plantar fasciitis, well over time the pain increased significantly and spread to other areas of my foot. Upon taking a visit and speaking to my Podiatrist: Babak Kosari, DPM, he suggested an MRI. I made the appointment with Santa Clarita Imaging Center. My appointment was at 8:40pm and I arrived 20 minutes early as instructed. I phoned the number on the directory and front staff Lisa was quick to let me in and she was extremely welcoming. I filled out a form and the wait was approximately 20 minutes. Lisa was very thorough with any questions or concerns I had related to the MRI; as I had never had one. She was very kind, courteous and most importantly very knowledgeable and that was comforting. I would like to say the waiting room was very clean and had this calming vibe about it as well! Before I knew it I was called and and warmly greeted by the radiologic technologist Maria. She was so sweet and she politely explained to me what was going to happen and made certain I had nothing metal on me that would interrupt the MRI process. She kindly instructed me to put my belongings in a locker as she would be right back ... she said she will prepare the room, Maria returned and then walked me into the MRI area. She asked me why I was there , I told her and she then assured me that she will capture the necessary angles needed. Just before I was asked to lay down there was this absolutely wonderful (student) who assisted me by taking my sneakers and setting them aside, she asked me if there were any metal pieces in the sneakers, I assured her there was none. I was asked to lay down and place my head at the top area of bed and then once comfortably on bed I was asked to place my left foot into this area that was positioned specifically to catch the images. She also advised that during the MRI process it was important that I do not move. I nodded my head in agreement. She then placed a blank over me. The same student that assisted me with my sneakers ; placed a rubber ball into my hands and said if I should need anything during the MRI process to please squeeze the ball for assistance . I was also given disposable ear buds to place into my ears to drowned out the noise during the MRI as the sound is loud. In between the sessions Maria came in checked up on me and let me know there will be one more session approximately 15 minutes! The whole process was great! 2 sessions lasting 15 minutes a piece! I sincerely appreciate the whole experience and I very much wish to thank all the staff from the front desk to the technologists for all there hard work and dedication throughout the whole process. The following morning I had to make a quick call and had the pleasure of speaking with an employee there by the name of Joe! Another awesome team member, greeted me with a very happy pleasant tone! What a great professional team they have over there! These employees seem to very much love what they do...Way to go! Best experience ever! You know why because the team over there is phenomenal including the intelligent student who assisted the radiologist with helping me too! Awful Mismanagement. Over a week ago this center sent me a letter saying that I might have a mass in my right breast and was unable to tell me any next steps or any definitive data for over a week now. They clearly do not care. My gynecologist has faxed my prior records to them three times but for some reason they never have my records. I went back-and-forth with them for days all the while terrified that I have cancer or something... And I ended up having to take off work and drive an hour to my old doctor, get records, then drive to these guys and physically walk my records in. Then they still said they didn't know what to do. They sent me to my gynecologist. I walk into my gynecologist office and they were like what on earth? These guys are supposed to have an oncologist compare the records and recommend next steps to us. I let them know that this horrible imaging facility told me that it was the gynecologist job. The gynecologist said he is not a qualified oncologist so it has to be them so then we called over while I was standing there . Santa Clarita Imaging says the oncologist that can read this record is out on vacation until Monday so I have to wait three more days before I even know my next steps and it's already been over a week. My gynecologist said please don't go to this center anymore they always mess things up like this and there's no reason they should've treated me like this and left me in terror for over a week. I have serious ethics doubts about this place. In 2020 I had a mammogram and a fews days later i was asked to come back for some extra images and ultrasound but i never did. This year 2024 i called to schedule a new mammogram and i was told that the "extra images" were required since i never returned for it and that a new mammogram can not be performed until those "extra" images are taken so I did go back. After that they call me to tell me AGAIN that extra images and an ultrasound was required. So i said that I already went for the extra images so WTF? My insurance was charged for 4 different things...i was told that an ultrasound plus some images in my right breast were required...but both breasts were scanned....WTF? Scam? Extra charges? They are all about money! I paid $124 at their office ( co-pay) and now i have a bill of $65 dollar for some unnecessary tests that my insurance does not cover. I've been here twice now for ultrasounds and the service is amazing. The women at the front desk and the technicians are so kind and accommodating, I always leave with a smile on my face. They made me feel super comfortable and are prompt with calling you in at your scheduled appointment time (especially when you have a full bladder and you're ready to burst!) The technicians here definitely put you at ease, especially considering the personal nature of the appointments here. The room is very dimly lit and they are extremely clean and professional. If these people put half the amount of effort into doing their jobs as they do into avoiding them, maybe they wouldn't have so many negative reviews. I have been there three times now, and I'll never make that mistake again. Every time, I have gotten there long before closing, and yet they already had a "closed" sign on the door every time. Three times now, they have checked me in, kept me sitting in the waiting room right up until closing, and then came up with some bullshit excuse as to why they couldn't get to me that day, and now they can't because they're closed and all the X-ray technicians have already gone home. ​ they did this to me again today, this time claiming that my doctor had filled out the form wrong and that it's too late to fix it because now they're closed, which of course they couldn't have told me about 30 minutes prior so I could have called my doctor and had whatever made-up mistake fixed. EVERY year they say they have issues with my insurance, being 2 different insurance providers now and we have to reschedule my appt, letting me know the day before and there is no wiggle room. Went in for an MRI last week at 8PM and I was nicely greeted by Valeria at the front desk. Valeria made the entire process seamless. She took the time to explain the procedure thoroughly, addressing all my concerns and ensuring I felt comfortable every step of the way. Her compassion and patience were truly remarkable. She also displayed a remarkable level of expertise and precision in her work, which instantly put me at ease. The facility itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained, which further added to my overall positive experience. The equipment used was fairly modern, and I had complete confidence in the technology and the team handling it. I did not get the MRI techs name but they also did an amazing job while doing the scan and made sure I was comfortable the whole way through! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff at Santa Clarita Imaging exuded professionalism and a genuine commitment to patient care. Is their office staff lazy, careless, or just incompetent? I would really like to know. They are going to dismiss this review as someone who was just grumpy about a high copay. While I am grumpy, that is far secondary. So, let's start from the beginning. They reached out to me to schedule an appointment (because I was referred there and had no other choice). It's a good start that they called me, though when I asked about my copay, they were like, "Umm, I'll get back to you." So, I called them back a couple of days later, and they said the same thing, that they are going to look into it. They never did. Now comes the day before my appointment, and they shoot me a text to verify I'm going. I'm like, that copay looks higher than I thought it should be. So, I call them. The person that answers the phone, I tell them the story and that I'm trying to verify my copay; they actually chuckle at my frustration, then transfer me to someone who tells me a different number than what was sent in the automated text. About 10 minutes later, someone else sends me a text just giving me a heads up about the copay, the same amount that was in the original automated text. They are very slow at responding, but I tell them that is not what I was just told verbally over the phone. Their response is for ME TO CALL the insurance company. I'm sorry, but that is your job, not mine! I wonder if they just sit around and watch Netflix all day. Anyways, they stop responding, so I eventually just text okay, I'll just bring the amount that they told me over the phone. I came in for a thyroid ultrasound because this place was recommended by my insurance company. Though getting an appointment was easy and they collected everything using a link before arrival, that was the only positive part. I arrived at the address given and went to the office I was instructed to go to. At the desk, I was told I was at the wrong office and needed to go upstairs. Why didn't they give me the right office number in the first place? I found the correct office upstairs, completed some more paperwork as requested and took a seat. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes. When the tech came to get me, she barely greeted me. Instead she scolded me for being late and told me I almost missed my appointment! (I had arrived at the downstairs office I was told to go to only 2 minutes late). If I was late it was due to their management sending me to the wrong office and not accounting for time it takes to complete documents. Usually techs work at making their patients feel at ease because most people that are getting scans are not doing it for fun, it's because they might be sick! This tech was very curt and just wanted to get the job done. She just told me to lie down but didn't even tell me which way she needed me to face, instead I had to ask her where she wanted me to lie my head. The whole experience was less than spectacular. If I have a choice I'll go somewhere else next time. read more
