Update from my last review; I made a third purchase from them and couldn't be happier! The customer service was beyond. The owner even came out to make sure the chairs were properly put into my car. Such a nice guy. Happy I gave him my business! The chairs are gorgeous in my dining room. Excellent quality for a repro. Saw the exact same chair at HD Buttercup in Culver City for almost triple what I paid!Needless to say I'm a happy customer. I attached a pictures.

I am giving this review NOT JUST FOR THE FURNITURE ...BUT... for the group of extraordinary people working for this company in Los Angeles...and especially for Jasmine and Lily. I am an interior designer who just started a staging business.. ( For verification purposes..its called Modiano Design on yelp)...and by all means my small purchases probably mean nothing to the amount of sales they must be making per month...but every time I walk in their warehouse/office, I feel like the most important person on earth. The furniture is awesome, looks great and fits in my client's style, and there is always great open box and off the floor deals !! These ladies are always friendly and answer my "sometimes crazy" questions. I will be keep coming back here, but not just because of the furniture but also the great costumer service and the attention I receive every time ! Please note that EVERYONE else in that office has been awesome, and even though I did not get to know all names...I don't know where they find this awesome staff. Their prices are comparable to others...but if you are looking for a bargain, go for the floor models and open boxes..and you can find some amazing deals.

The chair... which is very cool and oddly comfy! Oh and there a so many more pictures of damage... even a button is not attached!

Just moved to California and needed a chair for my daughter's room. After much searching found a chair (that turned out to be discontinued stock) from Advanced Interiors. Robert was very helpful and everything went smoothly. My daughter is in love with the chair and it is beyond comfy. I definitely plan on making more future purchases from this great retailer. As a new business it is important to have proper support. From advanced interior designs that is exactly what I got. Jasmine helped me pick out these white Barcelonas that have proved very functional and aesthetically beautiful as well. There are many sites out there that offer this product but I have to say dealing with them has been shady at best. What I got from AID if professionalism, a superior product, and prompt delivery. Will definitely use them as that business grows. Thank you.

Interior design is my passion. Several years ago I stumbled unto Advanced Interior Designs online store and ever since I've been collecting great pieces of furniture. Their selection is mind-blowing, much wider than DWR. No one makes better-designed, high quality furniture at affordable prices than AID. The packaging, and assemblage are of superior quality, and I've never had an issue with deliveries to New York or Los Angeles. Caution - dishonest business. I ordered a sofa then changed my mind and called to cancel the same day. They rudely told me that the item was already shipped from a warehouse and there is nothing they can do. When I asked them for tracking info they told me they didn't have it. I got tracking info after two or three days when the sofa was actually shipped. I regret dealing with them. read more

My wife and I had great experiences here, and highly recommend AID. We bought a nelson bench replica that AID advertised on craigslist for less than a third of the price of a licensed product. The bench was an incredible value, although don't expect the fit and finish to be the same as design with reach [of millionaires]. For instance, one of the bolts that attach the legs to the slats didn't line up with its hole. There are also some odd manufacturing quirks, which is probably why the bench was on super sale; there is a slight, curved indentation in the wood of one of the legs, some nail heads protrude slight between the slats, etc. None of these issues are deal breakers for us. We care more about function than finish, so we are very pleased with our purchase. I also kind of hate this hipster fixation on buying 'authentic' (translation: licensed) over-priced pieces, even when people like the Eameses wanted 'the best for the most for the least.' I think AID demonstrates this ethos far more than DWR or herman miller. The front office of the warehouse were very pleasant and helpful when we arrived. The warehouse guys allowed us to examine the bench (it comes flat-packed like Ikea), and they were very helpful in loading our car. read more

I discovered a single missing piece of hardware, contacted customer service and Rafayel sent me a replacement piece via FedEx the next day. When the delivery the chair I'd ordered online, the Le Corbusier LC1 Sling Chair in Pony Hide, was delayed, AID called and gave me the option of cancelling my order. I decided to wait. Once the chair arrived, Robert was fabulous in helping me online, as was the a woman (sorry, didn't get her name) I spoke to earlier. He went more than the extra mile to make sure I'd be happy with the chair. It was worth the wait! The chair is perfect n my modern condo. If you want style without DWR prices, check AID out! read more

I bookmarked the store's website to buy some furniture that is listed as in stock and ready to ship. Very excited as we are moving to an unfurnished place and need it furnished quickly. I waited to order as I didn't want the furniture arriving before we did. When I called to check how long delivery would take (not too fast please!), I was informed that the furniture I wanted was actually not in stock and they have no current plans to restock. When I pointed out that the website was inaccurate, they hung up on me. I could have ordered similar items a month ago from other websites that are accurate about their lead times. read more

It may be an internet seller, but the show room in San Francisco is a joke. Went to the showroom and it really did not worth the time. The guy was not helpful and he only cared about his web surfing. We were looking for a chair but they did not have it in the show room and the guy was like saying they mostly sell on internet and so don't bother him with my questions. Well, if I want to buy the chair without really seeing it and touching the leather, I would buy from other internet stores which are cheaper than them. read more

Advanced Interior Designs is great. We purchased an oval Saarinen table, and 6 clear ghost chairs from them. The quality is very nice - durable, and very good-looking. They were a pleasure to work with - very customer-oriented. They showed up on time for the delivery, they helped install the product, and they picked up two chairs that we needed to return as we changed color choices. Stay away from this one. Misrepresented chairs as executive office chairs. The chairs would not raise high enough to use at a standard desk. The allowed return but after paying a restocking fee and shipping i might as well thrown them in the trash. read more

My online buying experience with Advance Interior Designs was terrific in every way. The product (a leather desk chair) was even better than advertised, the price was excellent, the FedEx delivery was almost instant (2.5 days from online order to home delivery). And the shipping charge was so low I'm embarrassed to even mention it here. Talk about service to the customer, as well as a huge selection of in-stock furniture, AID is THE place. The piece I ordered was on back order, so they offered suggestions of different styles that were readily available for shipment. Price was just OK about average with other competitors. The sleeper sofa I purchased for the second bedroom was not very comfortable so I had it re-done. Did not bring shoe covers for my new carpet, yelling down the hallway, and then broke a sign over the front door of the building because they were impatient and careless on leaving. I called the store to speak with Mark and he never returned my call. A few weeks later, I went into the store to see him and he looked at me and ignored me. I had actually gone in there to order furniture for the living and dining rooms, but I decided to drop $12G elsewhere. I also wanted to mention that I spent money and time to have the sign they damaged repaired, but the delivery driver said there was a $40 balance. I thought that was really tacky that he wanted the $40 after inconveniencing me for an hour and a half's time for my handyman to come repair the sign. I gave him the $, but I highly recommend if you purchase here bring your own truck or get your own company to deliver. So two stars deducted: one for the delivery co. and one for no follow up from the store.

During the transaction, the salesperson informed us that on the morning of delivery, Living Spaces would contact us, provide a delivery time window, and offer us delivery time options. Instead, the day before delivery, we were notified of a fixed three-hour delivery window and told we would be charged a fee if we chose to reschedule. When I requested to cancel the order because the delivery arrangements differed from what we had been told at the time of purchase, I was informed that a cancellation fee would also apply. Ultimately, we changed our plans and accepted the delivery. However, this experience left us extremely disappointed. We feel that the information provided during the sales process was misleading, and the fees associated with rescheduling or canceling left us with little flexibility. Based on this experience, we do not anticipate making future furniture purchases from Living Spaces. This type of sales practice is unacceptable and does not reflect the level of customer service we expected.

I came up to SF last weekend to help my friend move in because of a job she landed there (yayyyy!) She bought a really cool leather benches from here and they delivered it on time as promised. Lily and the entire team were awesome. we called many other stores that listed the same exact bench on their websites, but everyone that I talked to had a lead time from the manufacturer (Alphaville) for 8-10 weeks. None of the other companies gave me the 3 day delivery as an option, even with the extra shipping fees that we were willing to pay to meet our deadline. Over the phone Lily confirmed they stock the Alphaville line in their own warehouse in CA, and they had the Sevilla benches in-stock in the exact color that my friend wanted, ready to ship without any additional fees...extremely moderately priced. The order was processed immediately on the phone, the next day we got an email with the shipping confirmation and the tracking number...the benches delivered on time to her SF office via the freight company R&L carriers. Everyone from Lily to the delivery company were very professional. I'm familiar with the original Barcelona line, in contrast I was surprised with the quality of the Sevilla benches - covered in supple top grain leather and beautiful Walnut frame. AID was an absolute pleasure - thank you for providing great product at reasonable prices and excellent customer service. We will be back for future purchases. read more

My wife and I purchased four of the Satin Counter stools in american walnut finish for our home and LOVE them. We were a little anxious at first because we had to order them sight unseen but we think they were worth every penny. We had spent a few weeks trying to find stools that matched our newly installed counter top. The quality is much more superior than expected and the pricing was within our budget. These stools are clean, classic and comfortable and we look forward to having them around for a long time to come. I have only dealt with Advanced Interior Designs one time but I could not have been more pleased. I ordered 2 Wassily chairs and was worried about the quality of the leather and the ability of them to arrive here in perfect condition. Rafael assured me that the leather was as described and they would get here (Wash DC area) unbent. He was right, of course. The leather is strong, the stitching perfect and, except for the challenge of getting them out of the boxes the whole transaction was without problems. And, the shipping was less than the website stated. I would never have ordered these chairs via the internet but could find nothing locally so I took a chance. The Saarinen table is exactly what I was hoping for - nicely designed. We have a small house, and our dining area has a custom L-shaped banquette. The table works far better than the rectangular table we had been using. Though the table supposedly seats 6 comfortably, there were 8 of us for Thanksgiving dinner and we weren't squished. It's the right size and shape for our dining room. Table is sleek and sturdy and just what I was looking for - shockingly good for the price, accurate portrayal of the product as well. Easy to assemble, substantial in weight. Delivery communication was great and the service used was reliable and on time. Would do business with them again. Thank you !! read more

This is my first ever yelp review. I ordered the Alphaville Downlow sofa over the phone and was very pleased with the customer service I received(phone service these days just has me down). I was already a bit discouraged having had ordered the same sofa from another vendor only to be told three weeks after I had placed the order it was out of stock. I wish I had found Advanced Interior Designs sooner. I placed the order on a Thursday(late afternoon mind you) and my sofa was at my door the following Tuesday. Pretty darn fast if you ask me. Sofa was in perfect condition, was exactly was I expected it to be, super comfy. Great follow up as well. read more

This place is very on point with their merchandise. I am a modern furniture lover and have purchased from them multiple times. The business model is VERY personal: the showroom isn't open to the public unless an appointment is scheduled. Once the appointment is made, they will answer your questions in full and even offer interior design suggestions. The delivery is prompt and the salesmen are very knowledgeable (and of course personal.) When you want to get pricing quotes or ask questions about the inventory, ask for Arthur or Raphael. Both are very knowledgeable and comfortable with the products they sell. read more

We had a very good experience dealing with George when we bought our sleeper sofa. When the color we wanted turned out not to be in stock, he called as soon as he found out to see what we wanted to do. Turns out the color we got is much better than what we'd originally wanted anyway. When our sofa arrived at our door, who was driving the van? George, filling in for an absent driver. He went out of his way to help us get the boxes further into our building than usual. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend Advanced Interior Designs (and I have shopped at DWR, Limn, and countless vintage stores). read more

I ordered an Arc Lamp. There were issues with the marble base (received broken). Raphael/Advanced Interior Designs offered tremendous service and sent me a new one. The lamp looks great and is fully functional! I highly recommend them. read more
