I've been coming here several years. I dislike going thru the process of finding a new Dr but I'm at the point I've had enough. No one ever gets back to you, messages are not relayed, if additional information is needed it doesn't get taken care of and most likely you'll have to wait till your next appointment (a month later) to go over it again and wait some more. I would never recommend anyone to come here. For 2 years I've suffered from a botched Radiofrequency Ablation treatment that caused nerve damage to my entire right leg. Nerve damage like this was worse than any pinched nerves I've ever had and its still not normal. Not enough staff to handle the paperwork here. When I've had a problem with a prescription, it's never been resolved till my next appointment or I had to go to ER. read more

With in 5 minutes of my appointment, Sara (PA) had already passed judgement on me that I would not be a good fit for their office and promptly told me so. She even used the word "not the vibe" when referring to me. Her profile praises her compassion and empathy yet those are the opposite terms of how I would describe her. I have lived with pain for over 20 years. Recently needing to revisit pain management, I was sent here. I have had some rough experiences with doctors and but Sara takes the cake. She treated me like absolute garbage that didn't deserve any quality of life. I would not recommend her to ANYONE. read more

i normally see PA Ariane Behiz, she has been kind and helpful but I couldn't see her so I was sent to see Sara Niknam. She was so incredibly rude to me. I have spinal tumors, they caused a fractured spine bec of this I've had 5 back surgeries. lately I've been getting worse, I tried to explain this to her. she didn't care at all. She told me she had 20 other patient, I was just one of them. She refused to help me get results from tests I had done. I started to cry because she was SO incredibly insensitive. please don't see her if you need good care. read more

Sara Niknam is rude and has zero beside manner. Nor does she show patience or respect for the people she treats. She scolded me last month stealing my dignity. Work Comp requests are denied and she says that it's my fault because I was not proactive enough with my treatment. All the while I'm making calls to several different Dr offices as well as my lawyer; I'd say that's pretty proactive. My visit today she asked about a Dr appt, so I was telling her about it when she told me to "stop talking and calm down, that she had a full load of patients ahead of her and I was stressing her out." I responded with "I am calm, even after you scolded me last time." She became very upset and her response was that "she scolded me for my benefit." Then she proceeded to walk out on my visit and denied my treatment. In my opinion she has no place treating patients with chronic pain. The way she treats her patients is deplorable. I left today in tears again. Please BEWARE- do not see Sara Niknam- she will not treat you with dignity or respect. Adps is a office that is a pill mill. This doctors office has prescribed Both Percocet and OxyContin. This is serious and can be a very dangerous situation. I had the police called due to their actions. This place discriminated against a disabled person and Hispanic. They want to do psychiatric care and more than they should. General overall care is good. However, I have not seen an actual pain physician in almost a year. PAs and NPs are fine on occasion but they CANNOT replace a physician board-certified in Pain Management, Pain Medicine and/or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Stay away from this pill mill. You never see the MD Physician & the mid-level providers are clueless. The staff is rude and the treatment is ineffective. They prey on the most vulnerable patient population- those who have chronic pain. They order unnecessary tests that they bill insurance for and patients are reduced to a number. This is the worst medical care I have ever experienced. The staff is unfriendly bordering on insolent and the two doctors I've seen have been abrupt and uninterested in me. I had a total right knee replacement December 10 and the surgeon's orders were to take one Oxycodone every 4 hours for 10-12 days, and after 10 days I realized that I didn't have enough left to make it to my next appointment. I contacted them around December 11 and they basically said too bad because the bottle said to take one every 6-8 hours, ignoring the fact that I was recovering from major surgery. My wife contacted them and emailed my hospital discharge paperwork and they told her they would consider my request. After no response I contacted the surgeon's office and they said they would call Advanced Pain and confirm the surgeon's order. Still no response. I contacted my PCP to no avail. So here I am on New Year's Eve with only 1-1/2 left. read more

I have been going here for years. The clinicians are very kind, compassionate and empathetic towards those of us with chronic pain. They have been a life saver but they do have some issues. When you go in for a visit they send out a prescription to your pharmacy but if anything comes up with the pharmacy and they wont fill the prescription, no matter how many times you call APDS they will not call back and no matter how many times your pharmacy calls APDS they will not respond. One time I went two weeks without my prescription because of paperwork APDS needed to send the pharmacy. Recently my pharmacy shut its doors and closed down without warning at 1pm December 31. I went to their sister store who required a new prescription to fill my meds. They contacted APDS 4 times and I called them 4 times and asked them to please call me. Well, it's January 14 and they have never responded to the pharmacy or to me. So to conclude, the clinicians are awesome but the support staff is basically non existent. If something goes wrong at the pharmacy, and trust me it will, will all the pharmacy and insurance rules, well you'll just have to wait until the next appointment because they will not spend 2 minutes of time to help you. read more

I shattered my femur out of the hip. The surgeon gave me a limited supply of medicine that I ran out of friday. I called for desperately needed help because the lower dose medicine is wearing off in 4 to 4.5 hour and they're require 6 hour wait! I was told "we can't do anything until we see you" all I heard was too bad - suffer. I now know why people go to the streets for illegal fentanyl out of desperation because the doctors refuse to help! The person on the phone didn't even bother to ask a docto! she just immediately shut me down! I'm paying a fortune on gurney rides. I can't believe that these people are so cruel that they just say so sad too bad suffer. This is a significant type of injury! I kept telling them to put me in a coma in hospital & they refused and now I get to suffer and they could care less. It's a horrible feeling to be treated like you're a drug addict rather than someone in significant pain. It's best to deal with doctors & nurses and people that answer the phone who have had injuries because they're the only ones that understand! Karma. It's going to be a painful long wait. This company is AWFUL!!!!!! My husband got a referral for a back injury and we waited 4 weeks for them to figure out how to get our insurance to send an approval I had to call and let them know they didn't need one. FINALLY got an appointment for today, showed up to find out the Dr had to leave for a meeting!!!!!!. They claimed we were late, BUT we were NOT. We had a confirmed time and arrived before our appointment!!!!. My husband had to schedule to leave work early, I had to take off work and get a baby sitter and he didn't eat all day!!! Then they say that he can't be seen for 2 weeks!! The front desk lady is like a robot and probably does this to patients all the time I feel bad for you!! She obviously hates her job. This office and company as a whole is awful to deal with I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU CAN!!! read more

This place is awful, the receptionist are rude most of the time, at first they were nice but those ladies have since gone. The medical assistants look like they hate their job, two out of the three doctors were good, Dr. Brofee (I'm sure I butchered that name) is amazing and seems as though he cares. They never return messages, or apparently send them to the doctors either because the doctor will tell us they never got messages. When you call to reach the office they will randomly pick up the phone, put you on hold then hang up on you. Hold times are 20-30 minutes, so that is extremely frustrating when you have to call back. The phone staff have zero phone etiquette, they rush you and are rude, the only time they are nice is when they call you to reschedule which happens often, don't bother asking for the office manager Carissa she is worse than the staff doesn't return calls, doesn't listen to listen only listens to respond has no empathy, which explains why the rest of the staff acts as they do, attitude reflects leadership. It's disgusting and disappointing the way they treat their patients. read more

This facility is terrible. The staff at the Yuba City, Sacramento, and Roseville locations are rude. We have traveled more than an hour and a half to get seen, yet if you are even five minutes late, they reschedule your appointments. I asked if they do 15-minute appointments for their patience and their response was said yes, but we always seem to end up waiting room in the back room for over an hour each time. This is extremely frustrating, and it's disappointing to say that patients are unable to receive the care or medication they need.bull. Shame on you! read more

Unfortunately my insurance switched this month and I will no longer be able to go to APDSS, I was a patient there since 2018 and have zero complaints. Dr. Maroon was the most thorough and caring doctor that I have ever had. He helped me so much and I will never forget the genuine care he had. Erin is always so kind and down to earth. I've had chronic pain for 10 years now & have been to many pain management clinics. Most are just a conveyor belt of addicts & docs that barely looking you in the eye or having a conversation before sending in your meds but not here! I've also had health issues for 18 years & have seen an amazing amount of docs in various fields & this is, hands down, the best staff (front office, nurse practitioner, assistants, docs) I've ever had! I've very rarely been treated with more respect & felt more seen than here. I can't say more good things about them. Dr. Maroon is my main doc but I also see a few others & adore them all. It's hard to find a docs office that treats you like a real individual person let alone a pain management clinic! And they have upwards of 5,000 patients! I'm always amazed & impressed by it. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would I had a appointment on the 16th but the called to reschedule today 5.22.24 at 515 will when I got there the said they canceled my appointment and billing department should have called and never did. I let them know that I have been pit of meds since the 16th due to them not sending a refill to cover the day till I get to my appointment will the 2 girls at front desk was very rude and rudly said there is nothing we can do you will need to call billing in the morning and see what they can do but they will tell you like I am telling you that they won't have any open appointment till the end of next month! I was mad and upset, like you could care less about the patient that you guys never called to let me know they canceled it or nothing. I Been going here since 2011. read more

Being a care giver to your family is tough. Seeing them go downhill is tough. Managing life at this level is tough. We missed our apt. due to a few appointments being over scheduled and the staff was able to reschedule our apt with our doctor at a different location. My parent has been seeing these doctors for over a year for his medication for pain as he has had three knee replacement's, 3 back surgeries, two hips replaced in the last 15 years. On our way to the new app to we got a flat tire! Damn it! We are driving over 1.5 hrs to this second location for my parents medications to be renewed because it's mandatory that they see my parent before renewing them although he has been on these meds for a while now. I get the process. I myself was a medically licensed clinic manager And understand the reasons however my parent had not had his medications because of the delays and when we called to ask to push the apt back a little bit or to please guide us. I asked to reach out to the Dr to see if we could do a Video visit only to he told immediate absolutely not unless you have C19. So not even for established patient who are stuck on the side of the road due to an unfortunate unforeseen flat tire and now waiting on AAA? Hell no! Nope! Not flexibility and so I asked my parent what he wanted to do because they offered no remorse or solutions as if we were the problem but it's our appointments that pay for those clinic doors to be open. I do NOT recommend this clinic. They are NOT patient focused only $$$$$ focused. They are not care driven as they do not need our business apparently, they are not customer oriented, they are policy enforcement and they will not make any exceptions, help, assist or be empathetic to you if you do not follow their rules but it's OUR insurances, it's OUR money that pays them! I recommend you find an office more patient driven, more patient oriented and empathetic. This office is money, number, policy driven which in turn means they count on referrals being faxed over and being in network that REAL patients with PPOs choose NOT to book you. This is from a few years ago. I wish my wife and I had never gone here. The guy who owns and operates the multiple locations is extremely disorganized and clueless, Kayvan Haddadan, MD. In 2019, he settled and paid $860,000.00 for allegations of Medi-Cal fraud. In addition, they also violated the law regarding patient's rights and safety. They purposely kept my wife undermedicated. I tried advocating for both of us several times. Unfortunately, they chose to ignore our cries for help. They decided to kick us out because I would not accept their constant negligence. They violated the law that mandates their duty, (in the state of CA), to provide enough medication to last us until we found another pain management clinic. They only provided me with a small amount of medicine which caused me to go into withdrawal. If I had the energy back then, I would have reported them to the state medical board. Some specialists were very nice and supportive and tried helping, but their hands were tied. The owner Dr. Kayvan Haddadan, should not be allowed to practice medicine. Thank God we found a better clinic, Spine & Nerve Diagnostic Center. read more

Anybody with chronic pain can tell you how incredibly difficult life can be. Every day... working, sleeping, just enjoying good times with your family is sometimes impossible. Thanks to the opioid crisis, EVERYONE is treated like addicts regardless of the severity of their issues. But NOT at APDSS. Not only do they treat me with respect... they go above and beyond. The diagnostics and treatments have given me my life back... I have a better understanding of exactly what's wrong (cuz they SOMEHOW get my insurance to actually pay for diagnostics when everyone else failed)), I'm working again and I no longer fear going out to have fun either. But what I want to emphasize is the CARE and RESPECT and compassion they actually have. Everyone from the front desk to the people who answer the phone to the nurse who takes vitals to the docs... only a person who has suffered with chronic pain for many years can understand what it feels like to be treated like a person again after years and years of being treated like trash. Yes, you may have to see a different person here and there. Yes, they are very busy. But in all my years (5, I think?) at APDSS in both Roseville and Folsom, I've had precisely ONE bad experience with a provider I'd never go to again. I just remember her name so that I can turn it down if I ever get scheduled with her again. Other than that, they got us all through the pandemic, they showed an enormous amount of care when I had a crazy family emergency, and they treat me as if they really care about me every single time I see them. DO NOT LISTEN to the rambling, raging reviews... I feel like I have met some of those reviewer's in person when I have seen the office staff screamed at and threatened. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who understands the frustrations better than I do but a doctors office, especially one for chronic pain, they HAVE TO BE careful and even strict... They HAVE to do drug tests, they have to have you sign a contract, they have to make sure you are not doctor hopping and getting prescriptions elsewhere. Because if their patients get busted abusing the system... (and let's face it, those people are out there!)... We are all going to suffer together... the business AND their patients. It's like... c'mon folks... y'all know how the world works. They are doing what they do the best way they can. Bottom line: APDSS gave me my life back. If you are a person with legitimate chronic pain issues that treats others with care and respect... APDSS will do the same for you. Dr. Haddadan, MD and his whole staff are just out for them selves. There not really looking to treat your pain. Nor do they care. After great difficulty I was able to finally sit down with him and beg for treatment that I had been getting from his office for several years prior. Dr. Haddadan, MD personally filled my RX on a couple occasions when my Doctor was absent. Now he tells me flat out that I am not worth him losing his license over and to go else where. No sympathy for my pain or concerns or questions or alternative treatment. Just a man watching out for himself 100%. He just cut me off "Cold Turkey" no titration to slowly wean me off. The name of his company is Advanced Pain Diagnostic & Solutions. He does none of that. Its not Advanced. He does not treat your Pain. He Does not Diagnose your Pain. And he provides no Solutions to your Pain. My pain scale is at a 9.5 without treatment. With treatment I was at a 6. Its truly very sad what they are doing. read more

If you want a doctor who is going to completely disrespect and dismiss you, Dr. Haddadan is your man. HE IS THE WORST!!! I saw him once after being a patient with Advanced Pain Diagnostics and Solutions for nearly three years and have never felt so disrespected in my life. A couple of the doctors I had seen there on a fairly regular basis for the majority of my being a patient there actually took measures to not only diagnose, but attempted to treat my plethora of medical problems that cause me chronic, widespread pain with alternative treatments in an attempt to decrease and hopefully someday elimanate opioids as my only option. Unfortunately, all the attempts to those alternate treatments failed. As a result, I ended up just taking the pills and applying the pain patch I was prescribed. Numerous times I informed the doctors that I was having trouble with the patch staying on for the full week, therefore I would not have that particular drug in my system much of the time, as it would only stay on 3-4 days max. This didn't surprise the doctors as they stated I wasn't the only patient they heard having the same problem. Leap forward to those regular docs who were trying to help me be gone from the practice and I walk in recently for my regular monthly visit to be sat with Dr. Haddadan. The man didn't introduce himself, or even so much as look up from his computer screen to address me. He proceeded to ask what hurts me most, and I began to summarize what is already in my chart that I felt he should have been familiarized with if he was going to play the role of my doctor. I told him the top three things that hurt me most, he cuts me off and says, well you were negative on 3-4 of your urine drug tests for the buprenorphine patch so we can no longer see you as a patient here, that is all, goodbye. I said whoa wait a minute and attempted to ask why, if I've made your practice fully aware of the ongoing problem with the adhesion of that patch are you going to turn your back on and dismiss me as a patient?! He looked over at the scribe who was just sitting there shaking his head no, looks back at his computer and said, well that's the rules. I said okay, so you're at least going to make sure you prescribe something for me so I don't have severe withdrawal after being on a high dose of oxycodone daily for almost three years right? His response was to let out a heavy sigh, roll his eyes and say okay fine, what dose are you on?! I again refered him to my chart and answered the question he should have already known the answer to. He then, still not even looking up from his computer said okay, this is what I will do, give you one fill, you take 4 a day for a week, three a day for a week, two a day for a week, one a day for a week, that 70 pills, that's it, you're done, goodbye. Dr. Haddadan doesn't give two shits about his patients, and even if I could go back to their practice with anyone other than him, I would not because he is the owner and president of Advanced Pain Diagnostics and Solutions. Never will I support a practice that is so willing to dismiss, disrespect, and after that visit, I feel tries to humiliate its patients. 1 star is too generous for this jerk. read more

Where do I start! if you are looking for a "Pill Mill" and want to be treated like a herd of cattle you have found the right spot. I was looking for a pain management doctor when I asked for this referral and what I got was the Opiate Police. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES TO GO THAN HERE!! Keep looking and just pass this place up. The kicker here is that I was told I tested positive for a substance I've never even herd of. Not a first for me but very annoying. I was in a program(not drug/alcohol related) and I was tested every week for like three months. The test kept coming back as positive for oxycodone. It's one of those plastic panel tests they sell in the store. I hadn't taken that med for like two years. That's a long time to be in my system. Finally they sent a test to the lab and the lab confirmed there was no Oxycodone in my system what so ever. if you are looking for some professionalism and bedside manner KEEP SEARCHING. read more

I always felt valued as a patient when I was treated at this facility. Not only was I pleasantly surprised at the quality of care I received from my doctor, but in addition the staff was alway professional. At a time when customer seems like a relic of the past Bri at the front desk is a breath of fresh air. She continuesly went above and beyond and was always extremely helpful. So I've been going to this management of my pain solution for a while now and I've had different doctors and I must say they have helped me in so many ways I can't be more happier today and I've been going there for the past three years four years but I am happy the clinic is very well clean and staff is good and my doctor Eric since I've had him he's great all the other ones I had have been great as well as dodi but when I say they have helped me in so many ways they have gotten me in so many programs to help me with my pain is unbelievable because I have ongoing pain but I love this clinic it's great. read more

Just moved into area have had 3 apts am very happy to have found this pain clinic. I have been on meds for over 10 years and have had a few unpleasant experiences. APDS staff has treated me respectfully and had nothing but a positive vibe at each visit. When planning move up here I literally called at least 6 pain mgmt.
