So I was looking for a local photoshop & studio around my area and found this place. The gentlemen at the shop was fine. He kept the process really simple and I was able to walk-in and take a photo session at his shop. We choose one of the packages to purchase and chose a background for our photos. After the shoot we picked our photos for choice of prints and waited a day for the processing. So this experience was alright I wish he was more detailed on his package plans bc I wanted these digitally but he wanted to charge more. Also his direction in photography was decent but wish it was better. read more

Great for passport photos. They touch up the photo so the background is white. The ones I got at Walgreens and CVS were similar in cost but incorrect because of the lighting in the stores. read more

Extremely fun and nostalgic experience here with taking quick studio photos with some friends! We did a package with 4 friends total and it was about $55 after tax (basically $13/pp for 4 people). We were able to select a cute background and select the photos we wanted to be printed. The couple who runs this studio is very concise but sweet as English is their second language, and they are helpful when it comes to creative direction, but they also ask you what poses you want to do too. The photoshoot probably takes about 10-15 minutes, and we absolutely loved the outcome. Please call them ahead to let them know you're wanting to book an appointment! I wanted a simple little photo shoot with my dog. I came by on a Sunday afternoon, and waited a few minutes after a little girls confirmation. I say this because I saw them accommodate a large family photo with at least ten adults and many kids. The wife took our photos. Because my hair is blue/green, I couldn't use the green screen background options. It was black or white background only for us. She quickly took twelve pictures, and I was on my way. I came back the next day to pick up the prints. I ended up buying all twelve photos. They don't offer digital prints unless you get the CD. I don't have a cd drive on my computer, so I took the photos to be scanned. Regardless, it was a good price for a fun little photoshoot. It came out to about $54 for multiple prints (fun gifts for friends and family) and the additional prints. read more

Four 2x2 passport pics for ~15 dollars is not bad at all. I came in on a Sunday morning and was out the door, with my pics in under 10 mins. I personally don't photograph well so I can't blame the photographer. I just look... unproportional with dead eyes lol. I'd rather come here than go to CVS or Rite Aid for passport pictures. The sweet couple that run this place are kind and professional. Let's support our local small businesses. Bring cash! read more

We got here on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to do passport photos - got greeted right away and they took us right in. The gentleman taking the photo is quick and efficient and we got our photos back within ten minutes - everything came out perfectly and it's only about $15 in total! There are plenty of parking in the plaza and more at the back - just be aware that some are 15 minutes only. Highly recommend! read more

I've developed about 10 rolls of film from 3 different cameras here in the last 6 months. I love this place! The owners are kind and knowledgeable. I had a couple of dud rolls and they helped me successfully troubleshoot the issue with the camera. They work fast and the quality is top notch! read more

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Dropped two rolls of film off at around noon and received the email with high quality scans by 2pm!!!! I paid upfront and gave her my email and phone number. Cannot recommend enough, prices are great and turn around time is even better. Don't waste your time with other chain photo labs and come support this awesome small business read more

Best place to get your studio photos taken. The elderly couple are so kind and know what they're doing. I usually come here to get my film photos developed! FILM USERS. COM HERE. the highest quality development for a little less than 15 a roll. They give you tiff and jpeg files. Best thing? They email you the photos via Google drive. Pickup your film negatives the next time you come! Edit 4/28/22: they send you high res jpegs now! read more

I've been coming here for 10 years to do the family studio photos.The first time my girls were little and they came out great. Recently, I brought my extended family to take a group picture. I also took individual family pictures. I was so happy with the results! It's difficult to brag about a place because you want it to be as good for other people and it was. Now with social media, we think we have to take these crazy fancy expensive pictures and we don't. We got so many pictures different backgrounds different poses and only a fraction of what I would have paid somewhere else. I love them so much I wish I could post them here but people are weirdos lol. I'll keep coming here once a year to take my family pics. Be prepared there is a little language barrier. They speak English but not the greatest. We managed to get our points across and everything we wanted! read more

Came here due to Yelp recommendation. Got disappointed with the quality. They could've told me to smooth out my hair so it won't look so stringy after telling me to tuck my hair behind my ears. After a bit of a debate, I decided to call and ask how much it is to retake photos because I wasn't happy with how it turned out. The lady told me I have to pay full price still . There is no discount and no guarantee in satisfaction. Will have to go somewhere else. It's a 10 year photo you can't take back. A waste of $15 plus dollars. read more

This is a mom-and-pop operated small studio. It is old school but I was impressed with the quality of the pics. We were there for passport photos and the lady did some touch up of our pictures before printing them out. When one do the pictures was not good they asked us to retake it for free. If you're there for passport photos it really just take them about 30mins and you should wait in case your pictures need to be retaken. The pricing was great, $13.99 for a set of 4, which was cheaper than the other places in the area. They also develop old school films and make DVDs and VHS. Recommend! read more

Back in the day, everyone could develop film photos. Heck, you could even go to the grocery store to do so. However, those days are a long gone, and if you try to go to those stores, they will either tell you they don't develop them any more or that it will take 3 weeks to develop. That's why I am so happy I found Advanced Photo & Studio. I recently came back from vacation with two Kodak disposable cameras, and wanted to develop the film. I searched for local options and this place stuck out. I visited them on my lunch break and the staff was extremely polite and friendly. I handed off my two cameras, and asked for the photos to be emailed as well. The total was $40 for the two cameras + email as of July 2021. Two hours later and the photos were done, an extremely fast turnaround, and I received an email with the photos in both jpeg and high quality tif format. The quality of the photos came out amazing and I'm so happy I decided to come here. I'll definitely be coming back for any of my film camera needs. read more

My husband and I went to take pictures here today and lady had us wait an hour for our prints. We waited in our car and called at the hour mark and she said that her program was not working and she was not sure when it will be ready. So I asked for my money back and asked if when she fixed her program she can email me the pictures and immediately said NO. Our drive was about -1 1/2. It was very upsetting that she didn't give us a call when she knew it wasn't working and we waited that hour. read more

I can't wait to keep coming back and getting studio photos taken here! We came to take photos for valentine day and our anniversary and we love them so much! They were ready for pickup the same day. The larger photos are printed on matte printing paper that looks so high quality! This shop is ran by an older husband and wife duo. Me and my boyfriend can't wait to come back to get our disposable cameras developed and our photos taken in the future. They came out so good we want to make it an anniversary/ big event tradition! Tiny place in a strip mall. They developed my roll of color 35mm film in a little under an hour and scanned everything to a google drive, emailed me the link without any issue. Very friendly customer service. $14 including tax for one roll of 37 images. Very happy and the quality of the scans is gorgeous! read more

If you need passport pictures, this is the place to go. I needed passport pictures for non-US passport and had bad experiences with 5 locations prior (CVS, Walgreens, and Staples). I was about to give up and do it myself when I saw Advanced Photo & Studio on my way home. I am so glad I decided to stop here because they were able to take my picture, print, and cut them in the size I needed all in 15 min. The price is comparable, if not slightly cheaper, than local CVS etc. too. Quality of the photo and everything was 10x better. No-fuss, simple, and professional. Highly recommend!! read more

I went to them to have a 11x14 portrait printed of my deceased dad. They had me pay before picking it up which I was fine with. When I picked up the photo I noticed it was very blurry. The lady said it was because the file I provided was too small. Why wouldn't they have told me that beforehand? They had my phone number and email address so they could've warned me at any time. I had even given them three days to do it because they seemed busy and I told them there was no rush. I actually did have a larger file version of the same portrait and could've provided it to them had they bothered to give me a call or email and just say "hey this file is too small, it is going to come out blurry," I'm very disappointed because I feel like they only cared about taking my money. read more

I stopped by Advanced Photo & Studio for passport photos and had a fantastic experience! The man working there was incredibly nice. He even pointed me toward a mirror that I could use to position my hair in the right way. He was quite quick with the photography, and then asked me to wait 5-6 minutes while the photos printed. My passport photos cost $13.99 and he gave me 4 of them. At CVS you pay $14.99 for 2, so this is definitely a better deal. And you get to support a small local shop as well! read more

Had multiple rolls of film that I wanted to be developed. Went in and asked for the price and turn around time for development. They said they can have it done within a day. The price is much better than other shops I've been too, and the couple seem to really care about the film, as well as the customers. If you're looking for a shop to have your film developed by caring people, I highly recommend this shop. Will be returning to this shop to get film developed in the future. read more

Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. I had last minute printing order on Wednesday before Thanksgiving when most businesses close early or mentally checked out lol but they were there to help with my order with fast turnaround! There was a small mishap which Van fixed it right away and let me pick it up even when the shop is closed by putting the items in their locker. Van also communicated with me throughout the whole time. Excellent service. I got all my templates from Etsy and wanted some black menu cards printed and everywhere else wanted almost $1+ for "white ink printing" which by the way, is NOT necessary as it can be done through regular printing. I'm not about to spend $1 x 300 guests for menu cards people are going to glance and toss...Studio 7 was able to print on black cardstock and it looked just as good and served it's purpose at a fraction of the price. Also got some 5x7 signage printed on foam board that looked really polished and great with backing to stand up on it's own without having to spend $$$ on those fancy acrylic signs. Definitely check them out and support your local small business.

I brought in my OM-3 because the shutter was stuck closed and the camera was shutting down. I purchased a protection plan with the camera, but the staff at this location told me they didn't know what the warranty was and said they would not honor it. Since that didn't seem right, I drove to the Samy's Camera location in Los Angeles. The experience there was completely different. They immediately recognized the protection plan, honored it with no problem, and even handled shipping the camera out for warranty repair themselves. It was quick, professional, and exactly what I expected when buying expensive gear from a specialty camera shop. While I was in Pasadena, I also asked about a medium format camera they had for sale. The staff told me they could not guarantee that the camera worked. Out of curiosity I went to another camera business nearby and learned that they were actually the shop that repaired that exact camera and said it was fully functional. So unfortunately the Pasadena store left me with very little confidence. For high-end camera equipment, knowledge and service really matter. The Los Angeles Samy's location, on the other hand, was excellent and handled everything the way it should have been done in the first place.
