Fromex is a gem! I do not know of many places that still develop film and I am glad they are local. I shoot with a Cannon AE1 Program here and there and develop about a roll per month. The pricing is great, though I don't know who to compare it to. They also offer a Digital scan. Developing and printing two rolls with a scanned file was only 50 something dollars. Scans are emailed to you within a few days and you can pick up the prints in less than a week. Great service and quality work. read more

I had 3 pre edited pictures on my iPhone that I wanted to get printed. When I walked in, I was greeted by their friendly staff and they had me email the pictures to their store email address and they then confirmed sizing. The pictures were ready in less than an hour and the prints were high quality on Fuji paper for a 11 by 14, 8 by 10 and 4 by 6. They showed the finished product when it was done. Fast service! I drop off my disposable cameras and they're usually ready within 2 business days which I really appreciate. You have the option of coming back to pick up the film, if not as long as you open the email within 2 weeks and download your photos, you're good to go! It is $10 per disposable, but given the quality of my pictures, I do think it's well worth the price. The parking in this plaza is terrible so I suggest coming during an off time or having someone drive so you can just drop it off really quickly and not worry about parking. read more

This is favorite photo shop to get my 35mm film developed as a photographer. Although the turnaround time has been pushed to about 3 days from the drop off date, I don't mind because they've kept the prices to $10/roll and digital scans sent via email (for no additional cost unlike most shops) for the past handful of years I've been coming here. The older woman with short gray hair has helped me at the counter the most over the past few months and I always leave with my smile on my face. She's so sweet and personable and I always love getting helped by her when I'm picking up negatives or dropping off. I really appreciate her and the energy she exudes. This is our first time taking passport photos at Fromex. It's in a plaza on Valley and San Gabriel Blvd (same plaza as Popeyes). We want to get better quality passport pics rather than taking them at CVS and we found this place on Yelp when we were in the area. We got there when they just opened at about 10 am on Sunday. It costs $18 for a set of 2 passport pics and our whole family's passports are almost expired so we all took pics. There's a photo shoot area at the back of the store. Her husband was the photographer and was patient to take photos for us. He also asked us if we were satisfied and showed us the photos. We waited about 15 minutes to receive all our passport photos (4 sets= 8 pics) for $72 and took us only 30 minutes in the store. We like our passport photos and it was worth spending $72. read more

Took my headshot here for visa application. As usual, they'd take a few pictures for you and you select the one you want, then they'll give you a printed copy + electronics copy. So. The printed copy they gave me was a different version with the electronics copy. Trying to use this for visa, of course I'd want them to be the same version. Went back to the place, asked them to print the right one for me. The asshole old dude in there gave me a really bad attitude and tried to charge $3 for it, even though it was clearly their mistake, no matter how I explained it. Reporting this bs to BBB. read more

the only place i come to develop my film -- insert your film rolls into an envelope, write your name, email, and phone number, and pay at the end. it usually only takes about 2-5 days depending on how many you're developing! they'll send an email with a wetransfer link that expires in about a few weeks. i also purchase new rolls (the 3 pack one: 36 in total) here. i calculated and it's roughly $2 per photo -- a bit $ but all my memories are worth it! very nice staff; always quick and affordable services :) read more

I have gotten 35mm film developed here twice! Service has been great, and they send the digitals to your email which is nice. I have not yet gotten physical prints so I cannot speak to that. My only issue is that they do not answer the phone, I have called several times on different days. It seems you just have to go in person for any questions. read more

I thought there was something wrong with the film, but it ended up being where I got it developed that was the problem. Super affordable ($9.90 per roll) and quick turnaround - I dropped off 7 rolls on a Sunday, got a WeTransfer with all of the scanned photos by mid-day Thursday. Great hole in a wall photo friendly store! Located in a corner in the same small plaza with Popeyes. Parking lot is small but should have no trouble to find available space. This store seems to be pretty busy as there was constant walk in and photo pick ups. I had to take some passport pictures and was recommended to this store. 2 passport pictures for $16. Quick place to buy and develop film. Not sure of any other place in SGV, but I always come here to develop my film. It usually costs $9.90 to develop a roll of 35mm film, which usually gets emailed to me the same or next day. You're able to pick up your developed film too. They sell rolls of Fujifilm X-TRA 400, Kodak Ultramax 400, and Kodak Portra 400. I wish they had more options, but it's good if you need to buy film quickly. read more

I found some ancient rolls of film and wasn't sure what I'd find, so I brought them to Fromex. The man there explained how I could choose to get files digitally or decide on prints. And he even told me if they were blank I would get $5 each blank roll, which I really appreciated. I've recently been really into disposables and have always gone here to get them developed. They're always super fast and kind. I even get my rolls back in a day or two sometimes! It usually really depends on how backed up they are. I receive the pictures through WeTransfer and get a few weeks to save the photos.
