He also brought a building contractor (B&D Restoration, also excellent) the next day to assess the tile situation. He was able to fix the problem in a few hours by going through both the front and back of the wall thereby leaving only two tiles to replace. This plumber told us he was a seventh generation plumber and that clients leave blank checks on the table for him when they cannot be home. I believe it!
