All I needed was the pipes fixed, but he went ahead and connected all my sink fixtures anyway without charging me extra. He was courteous, knowledgeable, quick, funny and heck, and he even gave special attention to my dog. (it was cute). H and H is also a very fair price. Anyone can fixed plumbing, but you will be hard pressed to find someone who you actually enjoy having in your home. H and H are truly as good as it gets. read more

I needed a new shutoff for my ice maker as was getting a new refrigerator delivered on July 31, 2023. I was able to contact H&H to have a new, more up to code, shutoff installed before the new refrigerator was delivered. The guys that came did a great job in a timely manner. Highest praise for this company. Saturday morning 10am, I called and talked with Melissa the secretary at H & H plumbing. I was told a techniciam would call me back today, wow, 3 minutes later Tony called me from H & H. I explained everything going on, he listened patiently, we discussed options and he gave a few pointers to try and fix the issue on my own first. Tony gave his personal call back number if I needed it. Low and behold my leak was fixed from the pointers and encouragement Tony gave. Required multiple return stays. Charged by time and talked and on the phone for a lot of the time. Also, did not fix the problem in the 1st or 2nd visit requesting a 3rd time consuming visit. A friend looked at the issue before the 3rd visit and simply solved the issue with a simple tool. Expensive service with not even fixing the problem. read more

A few years ago, they helped fix several leaks left by our new home builders. We trusted them to do the fix when the builder fell through on the work, and were not disappointed w/ H&H. I had a leaky faucet on a whirlpool tub that needed repaired, which is usually just a rubber gasket needing replaced. The repair tech couldn't figure out how to get the stem (which contains the gasket) out of the faucet. After an hour he went into Menards to see if he could get a tool. He came back with it but that didn't work either. He finally ask me if I had a socket set which I provided him. 5 minutes later he had the stem out. He then had to order new stems for each faucet since the other would probably go out soon as well. That made sense. I had to call a week later to see when they would be getting in the new stems. Low and behold "they had just arrived" but they couldn't do it for 3 days. After discussion they came the next morning to replace them. Took all of 20 minutes to take the stem out of the other faucet and reinstall two stems. When I received their bill, it was for $467.21, including 2 hours of labor for the first visit and 1 hour for the 2nd visit. Obviously, they were trying to charge me for the full 2 hours that the service tech spent trying to figure out how to do his job. Interesting that he was able to do twice the amount of work in the 2nd visit in only 20 minutes. Unfortunately, they round up to a full hour so the company was only willing to take 1 hour off the final bill when I complained, which got it down to $354.86 to basically replace a couple of rubber gaskets (in this case $45 for parts since they had to order new stems). At no time did they discuss options such as replacing the entire faucet with a new one considering the high repair cost. I'd be very wary of this firm due to the apparent lack of training of their techs as well as their questionable billing practices. Finally, it's interesting that I found half of a "broken" stem on the bathroom floor. Makes me question whether I really needed the new stem or not?? Like I said, be wary of this firm. read more

I had a horrible experience. I had someone out to do an estimate for me with installing a utility sink. When the guy was out he quoted me $220, listing off prices for the equipment. He said he would email me when he got back into the office (this was a Friday). Next Wednesday I got the quote, for $590. I questioned and he said that he was just quoting me part of the pricing not the whole thing. Why would you say anything at all unless you're going to say the actual price? His estimate was about 10% lower than the other two competitors I had out after him so I decided to schedule something. The appointment was scheduled for 8am on Wednesday 7/22. I took the day off work so I could be home for the appointment. 9:30am rolls around with no one here so I called H&H plumbing. The person at the desk tells me that I never confirmed the appointment so it wasn't scheduled. Here is the actual text from the last email from H&H confirming my appointment: H&H - Yes, I have an opening Wednesday morning at 8am. I will put it in the schedule now. I don't know how you could possibly not conclude from that email that I am scheduled. I'm told they cannot come out today. They will not be keeping my business unless they do. read more

Just an awful experience at all levels. Hired them to repair a toilet that was unusable due to low water level in the bowl and weak flush. Had to wait nearly a week for the appointment. When he arrived, the technician interacted only with my wife. He apparently ran a snake down the toilet, pronounced the problem fixed, charged us more than $150 and left all within 15 minutes. As soon as I looked at the toilet, I could tell he had not done anything to resolve the problem. The toilet remains unusable. The water level is still too low and the flush is still too weak. I e-mailed them a video showing that the toilet was still not working and asking that they contact me and provide a plan to return and complete the job they were hired to do. They, of course, have not contacted me. read more

H & H Plumbing is outstanding. I worked with John and he has helped me with several issues. He is friendly, pleasant, and very good at what he does. I recently had an issue where we had no water coming into our house. Because he knows me and where I live, he came over well after hours to look at the the problem. He quickly figured out what was wrong and although it couldn't be fixed until the next day, he spent a little time to get a little water coming in so we wouldn't be completely without. He then showed up the next day and fixed the problem. H & H has to have the best prices in town. They are very fair and back up their work. I never feel like I've been taken advantage of. In early 2016, we called H&H for a septic system backup. They were here all day, working on the septic system. First we had to find the stupid thing. They brought in the backhoe and finally found it. The drawing from '79 was not too clear. And back then they just put a tank in and called it good with no way to clean it out. The guys worked diligently throughout the day, finding the outlet for us, putting in a riser so we would never have to dig it up again (easy for cleanout). Fixed two broken pipes. Worked hand in hand with the guy that cleaned the tank out. We never knew you had to do this periodically! Three guys out here from H&H, all after one call the same day, all day, with a backhoe!!! Cleaned up the yard afterwards! I was expecting a bill of over $6000!!! Nope, a very reasonable $1700 which we were more than happy to pay! And they billed us! Great company and I will use them again! Recommended them to FIL and he was happy, too. In fact, calling them today to go over to FIL again to fix the bathroom sink!! Thank you H&H!!! read more
