Never again. Intially dropped off a Front Brush Guard/Bumper for powder coating in late September. About 2 weeks later I went to pick it up and it was dented while they had it. No big deal, they said they would take a look and fix it for me. I figured it'd be another week or two... I was told probably 5 or 6 times that it would be ready soon only to be pushed further down the line. Finally just picked up today (12/18/24) over 2 months later. I asked if there would be any reimbursement for the extended delay, and was told "they spent too much in time and materials" to give me any reimbursement. DESPITE both of those being caused by a mistake on their end. I spoke with another powder coating spot in the area and was told that any mistake like this would result in full reimbursement; and that company even offered to fully re-do my brush guard for free if I wasn't happy with the results from Advanced. I'm sure that the workers there are great, and that stuff like this doesn't happen often. But HOLY SH!T was this situation handled poorly. TLDR: If you are looking to get something powder coated, probably go to someone more professional. read more

When I was looking for a company that could powder coat a vintage patio table I went to my trusty Yelp app for help. It did not steer me wrong. I called and asked how I could get a quote and Nicole had me email some photos and dimensions. They got back to me with a quote next day. In the meantime, a client I was working with mentioned she had a table done there within the last few years and was super happy with it. They estimate the amount of powder needed to coat the project but that number could be more/less once they do it. I think they said average is around 1 lb per chair and 2 lbs for the table frame and base. They chose a basic white powder. When I dropped the table off I ended up choosing a different white that was a few dollars less per lb and asked if they could remove the center supports in the table that used to hold glass. The table and chairs were ready to pick up 5 weeks later. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. The price I paid all in was about the same as what I could have paid for a new outdoor table set from somewhere like Walmart but this will hold up much longer through the years. I will be taking a smaller vintage table to be done as well. read more

I didn't even know you could powder coat light fixtures, but you can! I had old metal light fixtures that were placed by the previous owners of my home. Over time the metal had corroded and become what I couldn't consider anything but pink and ugly. I was sure I was in for thousands of dollars to replace them, but someone suggested that I powder coat them to freshen them up rather than buying new ones. I drive by advanced powder coating two or three days a week on my way to work. I called my electrician and asked him if he had ever worked with them before and after he gave them a thumbs up, I called. They were very receptive to powder coating the light fixtures, super nice on the phone, and very easy to work with, even during Covid! Cost was unbelievably good, to powder coat my light fixtures it was approximately $50 per unit. This is way less expensive than purchasing new ones obviously. I was super excited, they let me keep a couple different color samples to bring to my house and hold up against my garage doors etc. BTW they have 1 million colors to choose from! After I chose my color they were timely and efficient. I was definitely the rate limiting factor. Cost came in exactly as what they said and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. From pink to refreshed and awesome for $50 a piece, cannot beat that! As I didn't even know this was an option for things like metal light fixtures I thought I would leave this review in hopes that somebody else would see it in the future and consider this as an option. read more

Over the summer my partner and I acquired a set of vintage steel cabinets that we wanted to use for a kitchen renovation, but they first needed some sprucing up with a new coat of color. We approached Advanced Powder Coating as well as a few other powder coating businesses in the area to get quotes and admittedly, we first went with another company because their quote seemed like the best deal. Our mistake. Over the course of the summer and into the fall our dealings with that company became quite frustrating and once we were ready to pull the trigger they jacked the price up over two times what we were originally quoted with no explanation so we decided to bring our business to Advanced. We couldn't be more pleased with their friendly, professional, and prompt service. Everyone we dealt with was great, from the ladies in the office to the guys in the shop, and the owner who greeted us personally, with a handshake and a smile every time. They were able to detail exactly how the grand total was reached, how long it would take for the job to be completed, helped us measure, load, and unload our cabinets, and all at a reasonable price, in a reasonable timeframe. I recently bought a new 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and I guess like many jeep owners I felt the primal need to remove perfectly good parts and replace them with much more expensive, but cooler looking and functioning, perfectly good parts. So far, APC has powder coated a front bumper (with a brawler bar), a front skid plate, a rear bumper and a tire carrier. I must say the experience so far has been five-star all the way. The quality has been outstanding. I don't have a lot of experience with powder coating but the coverage looks even inside and out, and both the color and finish texture are exactly what I was hoping for. They also did a few smaller parts to complete the look and drilled a hole I needed drilled in the rear bumper before they powder coated it. The customer service has been great as well. They were very responsive, set my expectations and delivered when they said they would. In talking with their staff each time I picked up a part (these parts aren't cheap so I'm spreading out the work over time), their staff showed clear pride in the work they did. The price quoted each time was reasonable and they consistently delivered for that price. Again, I don't have a lot of comparison points but relative to other options, such as painting, and other companies doing powder coating, their pricing was both competitive and, in hindsight, was an even better value than I expected before I really knew what to expect. Net, I have a bunch of other parts to get done (don't tell my wife) and will, barring some very unexpected pricing surprise, definitely be going back to them. I am also very comfortable recommending them to others. These are exactly the type of positive, professional, patient (I ask some ignorant questions sometimes), and ...dang can't think of another "p" word...wait, perfectionist, people I like to do business with. read more

This place is great! I dropped off 2 covers for my HVAC system on Monday morning and received a call Tuesday afternoon that they were done. Tami as well as everyone I came in contact with there was very helpful and friendly. The pieces looked excellent and were color matched to my wall,paint. I took a pipe in to have done for my 5 year olds play set. My son was helping pick the color and the owner personally came out and helped him. He took my son back and showed different colors that could be ordered to glow in the dark. We called to see how things were going and the owner was in a meeting and left to take the call. They picked a couple colors over the phone at that point. About 45 minutes later I get a text from the owner showing what the 3 colors look in light and then in the dark. They have gone over and beyond for this little Job. I have done other work with them as well but now I would never go anywhere else. Thank you guys for such amazing customer service!! read more

I would use this company again. I was asked to send pictures to get quote for sandblasting and powder coating. Got quote ($704.30) and was told it was higher than what actual cost would most likely be in the end. I was told 3 - 4 days to complete. Well, i call and not ready but will be ready next day and they will call me. Next day no call, i call and they tell me their both is down and needs part but will be fixed next day. Call them and they will call me back when ready, no call back. Call next day and they say it will be ready at 3:45, i tell them can't pick up today will be in tomorrow morning. Next morning i call to confirm it's ready and they say it won't be done till 10:30 (9 days later). I say fine, so what is the final cost? They reply that it was $1111.11 but they will discount due to delay$911.97. I ask why is not below original quote as stated and they reply it took longer on a couple of items. They would not cut me any discount or honor original quote. I will never do business with this company again. I advise others to stay away. read more
