One of the front desk workers (a male whose name I'm not sure of) called me on the way to one of my appointments and told me I owed Charter about $800 more than what I had already paid as a copay, which I paid the previous day, January 30th. I wouldn't be able to get my procedure done without paying. I'm aware of my insurance coverage and told him that I thought this was incorrect. He began to talk over me. I needed the MRI done, so I paid the money when I arrived and asked for an itemized receipt. He told me he couldn't give me one and that everything would show up on my patient portal. It did not. When I followed up with my insurance company, they shared that Charter Radiology incorrectly billed them for my MRI services and did not provide information on how much the actual services were on the claim. I knew I overpaid Charter Radiology and contacted them to resolve the issue. They resubmitted my claim and still held over $800 of my money. KJ in the billing department was really helpful in moving this issue forward but this morning I saw that the pending transaction from Charter Radiology to my credit card was cancelled on their end and they still owe me $821.81. I tried to be patient and resolve this issue privately, but customers need to know that this company is dishonest, has a staff member who bills incorrectly at the Columbia location, promises a refund and then rescinds it. This issue has been ongoing from January 31st. It is now March 20th. When will my $821.81 be returned to me?

I was not even called back to get dressed for my imaging until 4:05pm, and then they were rushing me, as though the situation were my fault. Also, upon arrival for this appointment, the receptionist tried to tell me that I had to pay a $100 deductible, and when I informed them that that is far from correct, as my insurance has no copays or deductibles, they told me that they'd look into it, but I was not allowed to go back for my imaging until it was either paid or fixed. The receptionist then tried to tell me again, a few moments later, that I did, in fact, have a $100 deductible. I had to continue to ask them to make sure they ran my insurance properly, because I knew I didn't have to pay anything. The two receptionists told me to sit down, and said they would look further into it, and would let me know what they found. So, after about 15 minutes, I pulled up my insurance coverage website, and brought it to the receptionists, to which one of them snapped at me "we already handled it," it in a very rude tone. Mind you, I was never given any updates, and was under the impression that I couldn't even get my imaging until this was solved, so I was only trying to help. I was never once rude or aggressive, but that receptionist was very rude to me, after trying to charge me money I didn't even owe. After all of this, they told me my images and report would be available within 72 hours, but they actually weren't available until a full week later. Also, don't bother trying to call the office or texting the number on their website, as they don't ever answer anyway. The imaging technicians are very sweet, but everything else about this office is a joke. And if you don't believe me, just look at the unprofessional replies the owner writes to bad reviews on google reviews.

This office was easy to find, behind another building off Little Patuxent in Columbia MD. There was parking right out front. I arrived a little early, (Jun 2026), hoping to get to another appointment immediately afterwards, and they were able to accommodate me. The staff was professional. I felt well informed and well cared for. Results were provided within a couple of hours! That's very nice.

She is/was very patient, gave clear and calming instructions. Calming demeanor - which is awesome especially when you are having your boobies squished. Felt at ease right away. I was very thankful for him not just recommending the first available appointment. The paperwork online was also very easy to upload and streamlined the check in process. When I got there for my appointment, they checked me in and I waited all of 5 minutes. Once being scanned, the techs were very friendly, professional, and made it feel like nap time for a tired mom. The only negative which I don't consider a true negative, was it was my techs first day on the job so there was a supervisor teaching her and it took longer than what I think a normal appointment would be. But better to train techs right than to not teach them and have bad service?

First and foremost, I have never had to wait. There aren't 10 or 11 people with the same appointment time as me. I check in, get my MRI, and I am gone. The staff is very friendly, have a great sense of humor, and they have a welcoming environment. I wish they were a doctor's office, because they have the concept of not keeping the patient waiting down to a science. The facility is clean and they always have Brock's candy in the candy dish...just an added bonus...LOL. So if you are in the need of an MRI...go here, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

The front desk staff was very helpful in dealing with the insurance company, and contacting my doctor's office to get them to amend their order so that the insurance approval would go through ASAP. However, I am beyond frustrated with this radiology office. I am a healthy, young adult who previous tore an ACL. I was referred to this office from Dr. Packer right across the suite. When I walked across the hall to schedule my MRI, I told the woman at the front desk I did not want the procedure if I had to pay out of pocket as it was not an urgent case and funds are short for me, currently. She reached out to billing and got back to me a couple days later that I would not be charged anything for the appointment. Next thing I know, a $316.00 bill came in the mail for the appointment. After several phone calls to the office, billing department, and eventually my insurance company, it was found the charge came from a $300 deductible and a coinsurance payment. The office has written documentation claiming they told me I would owe nothing. There is also written documentation from billing that mentions the deductible, yet still states I owe nothing. A clear error was made on this office's part (for which the manager even claimed "it was our fault"), yet the manager says she cannot write off the charge and I am still responsible for the $316.00 burden. Like I mentioned, I WOULD NOT have went through with the procedure if I had to pay even just $50 let alone $300. I cannot believe that even with written documentation stating I owe nothing, I am still required to pay this bill. Do yourself a favor and find a diagnostic imaging center with a staff that treats their patients with integrity, or at least a competent billing department that can understand insurance policies. There are plenty of other offices in the area. Side note: I will say, the patient care I received here was excellent, but I'm sure one can find plenty of other kind people to place them in a diagnostic imaging machine and press a few buttons elsewhere.

They will not call you by your correct pronoun even when you try to correct them the tech said they were trained this way so instead of using pronoun u asked them just call by the name you gave them and they still referred to the incorrect pronoun and they did try calling by your name so I gave a 2.5 star for trying. I think the staff could use an over haul training to comply with the time. It's sought of outdated. But thank goodness they try to be kind. I give them that. However, I can genuinely say it was a pleasure because of their incredible staff. Sharon and Sandy at the front desk are two of the kindest and most welcoming individuals I've ever encountered--not just in medical care, but in customer service overall. Sharon, the tech, was equally compassionate and professional, and Mariah, who prepped me for the MRI, was just as wonderful. The team at this facility is truly exceptional, and I can't commend them enough. I'm not sure where they were hired from, but their previous employers lost some outstanding people! Thank you, again!

This place is great unless you have ongoing issues from radiation. They will tell you it isn't the…read moreradiation and you will be left seeing doctors who don't specialize in radiation to figure out what is wrong. Not sure the point of a follow-up if they don't care. They were condescendingly surprised I would want a PT referral. I may have a serious medical issue caused by radiation and the disbelief in my symptoms has prolonged any answers. I cant even read to my son at night anymore, I cant go anywhere/do anything... and to be disregarded is devastating. Most people don't have issues from radiation, but I would try to go somewhere that actually wants to address ongoing issues if they happen and get to the bottom of it. Ask what steps they will take if you have any ongoing symptoms related to radiation treatment (or at least a recommendation if this does happen), if they don't give you an answer go somewhere else.

Judy was an excellent sonographer. She was professional, friendly and courteous. She explained the whole soft tissue sonogram to me, asked me if I had questions and made me feel comfortable. Just endured a scheduling nightmare that ended up wastinb 3.5 hours of my time -- and still no MRI…read more the people at the facility are fine, especially the sympathetic manager who helped me figure out other options. But the call center staff that schedule appts are poorly informed, and clearly do not communicate well with the clinics. So what went wrong? First, the scheduler scheduled my 2 MRI appts back to back -- turned out that can't be done in this case. Next, by text, they cancelled the 2nd appt -- with under 24 hours notice. When I dalled the phone number (I tried repeatedly), it just rang and rang -- no answer, no recording. So I called the phone number in a differnt text and was told, "I see your 2 appointments; they aren't cancelled. Just igore that 2nd text!" When I arrived they said, "No the 2nd appt was cancelled -- these procedures can't be done on same day. the call center is wrong. You should have called the clinic (I did but that was the number that went unanswered!) Finally to top it off, they informed me for the first time that this particular center only has the older narrow type MRI machine. So I'd have to lie perfectly still, on my stomach, on the hard surface, with my arm fully extended above my head, for 40 minutes. The tech was honest, "Some people can't do it." I tried it but found it unbearable, especially for my shoulder. Honestly, it reminded me of pictures of the contorted positions Guantanamon prisoners were forced into as a form of torture that leaves no marks. Try it sometime on the floor; you'll see what I mean. I finally left the clinic, vowing to never return to Advanced Radiology. Never again!
