On a hinky intersection so be careful getting there. Staff was not the most welcoming, but passable, despite the sliding glass (aka unfriendly) border wall separating them from us. The front desk/wall process did not take long once you got thru. Wich can take awhile. Typical depressing wall decor and paint job. But in each case the staff seemed to be on top of things, and didn't make you wait more than 15 minutes. Maybe it was just my timing. Inside the offices, staff were nice, accommodating, pleasant, and didn't waste your time. If you need to use the rest room, they'll give you the jailer's key that get yous into the bathroom in the hallway (which is otherwise locked).

Which they said they had and would call me back for an appointment. 10 days later I called again and they said they had the referral but were too busy to submit it to my insurance and it would be done "eventually" 2 weeks after the referral was sent I called my insurance company, who told me they don't have anything for an MRI authorization! I walked up to the window and told them my name and the two receptionists started talking to each-other saying " you should call". The other receptionist called, got off the phone and asked me if I wanted to reschedule. None of which did she tell me I was late to my appointment or did I receive a call that I was late for my appointment. Very unprofessional and for someone in the healthcare field, absolutely no patient empathy what so ever which is sad considering your dealing with people all day. Some were OK, while others were awful! By far, having my mammogram performed by Norwalk Radiology Consultants was the BEST experience I ever received. To begin when I called to schedule my appointment, a PERSON [Melissa] answered the phone. I mentioned that I did not have a mammogram in over 10 years. We discussed my Medicare insurance. I was informed a mammogram screening would be covered but that an ultrasound, if I wanted one, involved a fee since Medicare no longer covered it as part of a routine screening. I opted for the mammogram screening without the ultrasound. NRC immediately sent a thank you email to me for booking my appointment with them. They provided me with an electronic medical record release form that I forwarded to my prior radiologist. When I arrived for my October appointment, Trea and Erica warmly greeted me. I simply handed my driver license and insurance cards and I was set! No reams of paper nor e-forms to fill out. Rather I was handed a beautiful pink insulated tote bag. How very nice indeed! After a very brief wait (I arrived early for my appointment), Liza walked me to my private dressing room and then I went for my mammogram. Although my appointment was on a Monday afternoon, NRC called my home the following day at 8:59AM with my results. Wow, what service! In addition, my results were sent to my PCP. Super !!! When I arrived home, I turned on my computer and was pleasantly surprised to receive another "thank you" email for my visit. She paid for an uber from campus, checked in and waited in the waiting room for over 45 mins. When she approached the desk to check on wait times, she was told "Oh, we don't take your insurance anymore. We'll cancel your copay. You can just leave." This very sick young woman left in tears. Unacceptable to let her sit right in front of you for almost an hour and not tell her she could not be seen. Outrageous, callous front desk behavior. Strongly suggest you go somewhere else.
