I needed two wisdom teeth removed and I opted for the IV sedation. I really can't recommend that enough! I'm very leery of anesthesia, but after doing my last wisdom tooth with just local... a stressful experience.. the IV sedation was absolutely brilliant. I remember a little small talk with the nurses and Doc, and the next thing I know they are waking me up and walking me out the door. So easy! That was yesterday. Today I've already gone to just Ibuprofen for the minimal dull ache that's left. Now I REALLY hope I never need oral surgery again.. but I'd never go anywhere else. Even tho Dr. Doherty is out of network for me, it's worth it to pay a little more to go to him.

Dr. Young and Christa Cavanaugh, PA-C , are fine practitioners that consistently deliver sound medical advice and treatment. This is instead an issue of inconvenience and inconsideration. Upon making an appointment with this group (most generally with the PA, Christa Cavanaugh) - What follows is a barrage of messages that begin sometimes 6 to 8 weeks prior to the appointment to remind you that your appointment is coming. And they usually involve having you click on something to confirm that you acknowledge that you have the appointment. They always request that you come 15 minutes early even if you've been coming regularly every six months or the last time you were seen was only a few weeks prior. If there's ever any paperwork that can be filled out online I always do that just to avoid having to do anything else there. Consequently when I check in, there is nothing for me to do but sit down and wait. I realize that they don't want patients failing their appointments or arriving late, and that they value their practitioners time. (They make a point of stating in their countless reminder texts, that failure to make the appointment may result in a fee of $25.00.) Consequently, when we come to the office, my husband and I are always at least 15 to 20 minutes early. Unfortunately...it has NEVER failed that we have had to wait usually a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes to be seen. There is never an apology. There is never any kind of communication or an explanation as to why she was late or at least an acknowledgment that I had been waiting. Consequently, I usually try to make my appointments early so that I'm the first patient, and even in those cases I've had Christa stroll in to the exam room almost 20 minutes late and I was her first patient! It's just annoying to me that while an office and their practitioners consider their time valuable, they consistently demonstrate a total disregard for mine.

Then with the same Doc, my you daughter, there were issues with her, me trying to find out information about a procedure that 'I" had been in the planning for. That was in 2008. I first started with Dr. Ellen, she was great, she left the practice, but Dr. Plunkett took me in. The staff and her have never failed me. As most businesses face post 2020, staffing was tough, but I have never been failed in getting a Doc that listens and staff that is spot on helpful. Having been to several urgent care facilities in both Medford and Ashland for both urgent and…read moreroutine medical services while we wait to find a new primary care physician, I can say quite confidently that this is the best. The support staff appear to be better trained in their people skills, the facility is newer/cleaner, and the providers just seem to be less rushed and more pleasant. Our experience this morning was 5-stars across the board. The provider was a NP, not an MD, but for this visit (a UTI), it was adequate. He was attentive, friendly, and listened well -- as well as explaining things in a caring fashion. In comparison, I have been thoroughly unimpressed by Asante, having dealt with both their urgent and emergency care services. I will say that the people in the billing / financial departments at Asante are very pleasant and professional, but I'm afraid that is the only "A" I can award. Everything else was a solid C with even a few C- grades in places, bordering on a D.
