Tried getting an appointment in December was told that none of the doctors there had their books opened for the new year except for one and he was booked out until April. Just threw in the towel and chose another doctor an office who doesn't have their appointment book open for only one doctor out of four and couldn't give me a date when the appointment books would be open. I would give a better review, possibly, if I could ever get into the clinic! They have called and canceled appointments that they have agreed to have made with me on three different occasions. Now I've had a total of four appointments there. still can't get in there they called me, and offered me an appointment, which I took and then two days later they called me and canceled. The front desk is not very customer friendly to elderly or disabled patients. I observed this with accompanying my sister for her first visit and with others checking in at the front desk. Some cordial assistance should be given especially with operation of the tablets provided to obtain needed information. I understand the pressure of being understaff but how difficult can it be to find someone competent to be cordial and not rude to patients. read more

The only place that was more painful and rude with longer wait times out of any doctors office I have been to in my life, was a Florida urology in Ormond Beach. It is such a bummer that this urology hell hole in Daytona and Florida urology and ormond beach are the only game in town because I have talked to so many women in my groups and I go back five generations in Volusia county, that have similar experiences than me and wish there was somewhere else to go. The procedures I had were extremely painful and I was left with an infection afterward and will never be back. You wonder why they have such low ratings. If you want a long long wait times, and if you want to get to your appointment and have them basically almost spit at you and tell you that they called you this morning and canceled the appointment and you didn't even hear that voicemail and how could you because you were on your way here, then this is the place for you. Please if you pick another place make sure they are not related to this hellhole chain that has some of the worst reviews I've ever seen and talking to the people in the waiting room including an elderly man who had driven so far and they basically screamed at him telling him they canceled his appointment earlier today and left a message. Never ever will I go again and I am so upset about the infection I got after what they did to me there. I sometimes wonder if their equipment wasn't contaminated because they did catheter catch on me for urine which should be very clean using a catheter and it came back contaminated. Had to call since their so-called Patient Portal will not accept my email or allow me to open app. (Upon calling, I was told, "This happens all the time" and asked to confirm my email, which was absurd since it was the link they'd emailed that failed.) I made the one-hour drive to my first visit and was told on arrival that the Doctor (Jenkins) was not in and had been out for a couple days. They half-apologized and said they "might" be able to get me to see another doctor. This was to take 5 minutes. I waited 5, 10, 15, 20, then a full half hour. No one said a word so I left. Tallahassee FL AUI The lack of follow-through on diagnostic studies is negligent. An MRI was performed in 2022 with no follow-up; another MRI was performed in May of 2024, again with no follow-up. After obtaining the results via the radiology providers' patient portal (which actually works), we discovered significant cancer was likely in 2022. The MRI in 2024 showed carcinoma with extracapsular spread of the disease. One month after the May 2024 MRI, we had to demand an appointment. A prostate biopsy was quickly scheduled. Three weeks post-biopsy, the Dr. was to review results via tele-visit. With NO notification, the appointment was changed. Unfortunately, the Dr. did not call on the second scheduled date. No report has been shared with the primary physician. NO health information is available on the patient portal. If there is metastasis, which would have been prevented with timely intervention, we will be filing a lawsuit. read more

2nd appointment I walk into a room and here is a scope which we had discussed but only if there was no other options see pictures about the "other" options which Dr Healey said were not available and see the potential complications from using this device then.....go to the Mayo clinic online or just do a simple search and there are at least five other options besides sticking a scope inside you. I mentioned to the nurse are we doing this for money and the first thing the Dr said when he came in the room "we are not doing it for money" then he proceeded to tell me he has plenty of other patients to see. He had to do this procedure and that was my only option. Wow I was set back that a Dr would have such a poor demeanor when a patient wants to weigh other options. I felt like he was trying to pressure me into doing something I did not agree with and I could tell it made him angry that I was asking questions. The picture you see of the scope they were going to insert into me is laying out on a table which I am not a Dr but in my opinion if you are going to insert something into my body should it not be kept in a sterile environment until you plan to use it verse laying on out on a table covered in jelly......looks like a great way to get a really bad infection. I rarely post but this guy and how he treated me was beyond bad and I hope this long review helps others to think twice about the care this dr provides and this clinic who allows this. Getting really bad when a patient cannot be their own advocate for their own healthcare. It would be interesting to see how many patients end up with some sort of an infection and how many "procedures" are done that are not really necessary. Just because the Dr says it "must" be done does not mean he is right. A dr can make a mistake just like anyone else but when they are so arrogant they think they are in control of everything....time to step away from that dr. read more

My husband was referred to this practice by our primary care doctor. It took a couple of weeks to get an appointment but when he did, the doctor didn't even check his urinalysis, didn't address his problems and said he would have to come back next Tuesday for a special x-ray. The scheduler said there was nothing available for 2 weeks and made him an appointment. When he showed up on that day they said there was a mistake and he didn't have an appointment. Meanwhile he has had an alarming and painful condition for over a month with no help. He has tried to reach the doctor for a conversation and they just say he has to wait until another appointment. These people run a totally disorganized practice and don't seem to care if they help their patients or not. read more

Don't try calling bc you will be out on hold. You will be on hold for so long that you will hang up and try again only to repeat the whole process. Trust me, you are better off driving to destin or to Dothan. It took me THREE days to get an appointment and once I finally did the order they were supposed to send over was never sent. I check in 10 minutes before my appointment, sit down as told, 20 minutes (30 minutes waiting) after appointment time i go to desk as sign directs me to do. They look and don't find me in the computer but my name is in the check in book. Then tell me I'm next. I'm still waiting 1 hour later. Been to desk and told thy are waiting on a room, but they have now called back 10 other people. This is after, I was at their other office, in with the doctor, but he got called for an emergency surgery. I have never had am experience with a doctor as bad as this before. Dr Beiswanger walked in asked where I was hurting and looked at an old CT report. Asked how long I had been having problems. I started talking about a newer scan I had performed so he said he would look for it. Was gone 10 minutes. Came back. Said scans are normal, come with me. He walked in the hallway, and started talking on his cell phone. Just leaving me standing in the hallway. Never asked about the other issues that were related to my visit. I called about my refund since I had not received any money from them and was told it will take 45 days to get my refund. My 14 yr old daughter was suffering from a kidney stones and had it for almost three weeks. We were sent to Dr Umar Karaman in Panama city FL at advance urology. We sat for an hour and half which was ok because I understand Drs run behind. Not one nurse came in to ask if we were ok, need anything or to let us know why it was taking so long. The Dr finally come in and didn't even apologize for the terribly long wait which was still ok I just need to get help for my daughter. He came in and sat up on the counter leaning back on the wall propping his legs and feet up on the counter as well as if he were at home relaxing on his couch. First word out of his mouth were "So what we got going on?" My first thought was not a good one, but went ahead explaining our reason for the visit. Without any thought or concern he begins to tell my child she isn't hurting as bad as she says she is and she basically doesn't have a kidney stone anymore. I tell him she hasn't passed it yet as he continues to tell her she isn't hurting. Then tells me to just go for an ultrasound and follow up, but that she isn't hurting like I think she is. He get up to leave the room no bye thank you for coming or have a nice day he just goes to the counter in the hall as we are left at the end of the hallway wondering where to go all the while listening to him talk about my child and how she keeps saying she's hurting, but that she really wasn't. I have never felt that way in a Drs office in my life. That was the most degrading and unprofessional office and Dr I've ever had contact with. There is no excuse for that type of behavior EVER!! Something needs to be done and it needs to be addressed . I ended up getting the lady at the front desk ( who was really nice and helpful ) to help me get and appointment for an ultrasound and get her refered to another urologist. We went for the ultrasound which showed the 2mm kidney stone still on her bladder like we were trying to tell him. Upon going to the new urologist she still had it in her bladder and still needed help which this Dr is doing for us and also seen notes from Umar saying on my child's Dr note from her visit with him that she really wasn't hurting. He isn't qualified to be called a Dr let alone a specialist. If you need help from a Dr that will care and actually listen to you and your concerns and do what is best for your child DO NOT I SAID DO NOT GOT TO THIS DR!!! read more

Service has deteriorated over the years. My last two visits had wait times of about two hours. It's time to find another provider.

I went there to have a skin irritation looked at. I told them I was with a new job, and was between insurance carriers. They said I can pay cash, and told me it would be around $150. When I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist charged my card $150 and made me sign something saying that it could be more or less depending on the scope of the visit. I just received a bill for roughly an additional $260 (a total of around $410). I called to ask what the reason was, and I was told that the doctor labeled my visit as a "Level 4", or in her words "a more intricate visit". I was in the doctors office for 6 minutes. He looked at my irritation, and wrote a prescription for some steroid cream. These guys (or maybe just Dr. Hitt) are crooks. YMMV. read more

He was able to de-escalated the high anxieties, fears and concerns of my husband with his gentle kind like manner. Dr. told me that since my wife had so many health problems and such expensive treatment that he would accept my insurance payments and no other charges to me. The very next month they sent me a bill with bad debt write offs and then harassed me with new bills for the amounts that he told me he would write off. When I went to the office to pay the bill the girl told me to sign in and have a seat and they would call me when they could get to me. I was the only person at the desk and they were not very busy. Well... I have not been there yet as my first appointment is tomorrow.. I have read 3 reviews and all had issues with the staff. When I called to make my appointment the lady I spoke with was very rude to me and made me feel as though she was too damn busy to bother with me!!! In fact if I could have gotten an appointment at another facility in the short amount of time that I had I would have chosen another practice. My employment requires me to travel and I called on a Wednesday after receiving some test results back from my G.P. And I was flying home that Friday and leaving again the following Monday!! Anyway I have an appoint on Monday but when I got off the phone I told my wife just how rude and unprofessional this "receptionist" was. I will say this.... My father was under the care of Dr. Hitt while in Bay Medical Center. The urologist he normally sees was out of town, Don't and let me repeat that DO NOT trust this doctor to care for you or anyone in your family. Not only did he have a god complex, his notes from my father's procedure completely contradicted what he told us when he came to the room. When asked about the contradiction, he completely dismissed it. Dr. Hitt is definitely in it for the money, patient care doesn't matter to him in the least.
