All the bad reviews about the office staff are true. My husband is feeling I'll after a procedure there and he has been on the phone for two hours trying to get to a live body. He was on hold with a notification that his call was first in line for over 30 minutes. He started calling every other number he had for them and kept getting voice mail that the box was not set up to take messages. We will end up needing to go to ER in a bit. I had the exact same experience while waiting in the parking lot during a rainstorm during his original procedure. After trying to get through for over an hour, I finally went in to find out what the hell was going on since his appointment was 3 hours prior and they said they would update me. Lies. I went in and threw a small hissy fit and a very nice nurse came out and took me back to see my husband who still was waiting. Office staff just looked at me like I had lobsters growing out of my ears. Then I went to the waiting room and the office staff told me I needed to go wait in the hallway, because they were closing the lobby to go home. FFS! The doctor was nice and seemed very professional. As did the nurses. They would get 4 stars, despite the shitty scheduling. But that office staff all need to fired. Most unprofessional place ever. I wouldn't even them one star. read more

F@ck!n useless... one poor soul up front trying to actually do their job and help while a gaggle of nursey looking types in scrubs cackle, hoot, and gab it up just beyond the door behind reception like there's nothing to do. They're paid for what?!? Then nothing of any real use on the medical side, the doc's unwilling to deliver bad news if that's all that there is, providing options previously discussed, tried and failed as if they never bothered to review the patient record. Additionally this joint just outsourced their medical record relay services to an offshore paying well below the minimum wage and they don't give a half-shitte as they're collecting on the service. That service, sharecare, is WAAYY more work dumped on you the patient than the very simple single form that used to be used with point of contact info on both sides to relay medical records. Go find another independent practice that really does care and that really is honest, even and especially if the news is bad, to be sensible and honorable to provide real care. With a support staff that really does work to provide good service rather than gather and yak-party loudly within ear shot of the poor patients waiting only one space over. p.s. I really am trying to reach out to the business manager but not getting any response, all the snark aside, I think it would be refreshing to have a practice that holds to professional standards and demeanor. read more

Tallahassee AUI has a 10 minute strict late policy. I drove from Apalachicola FL for a 10.50 appointment. Was n 2 constructions causing g me to be 11 minutes late. I called them 15 minutes out to let them know this. The lobby was full, so there would have been at least a 20 to 30 minute wait. At previous visits, I always waited up to 30 minutes. What is wrong with our doctors and staff. Please choose ur Healthcare provider wisely. WOW read more

Great doctors....HORRIBLE STAFF and nurses...rude, condescending...no sense of urgency for significant matters...don't return phone calls...I could go on and on...if the doctors weren't wonderful, we definitely would travel out of town rather than be subjected to the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy. read more

In the fall of 2025, I had one of most unpleasant office visits of my life with David E. Burday, MD at Advanced Urology Institute. If not for the professional and kind treatment of his PA I would have been totally demoralized! He was rude and did not listen to my concerns. I told him I had improved based on research that said Kegels are not good for improving a prolapsed bladder. He said Kegels were what PT was about. At that point he said I assume you don't need my services. I had already told him I wanted physical therapy. I tried to contact his PA to schedule the physical therapy and gave up after multiple calls that the Urology Institute were not answered. I let my GP know of the problems with this doctor and hope she will not make referrals to other patients. read more

After waiting six weeks to see the doctor for my overactive bladder, he comes in at 4:15 pm running late for a surgery next and I felt like I wasn't given a chance to tell him about my problem. He immediately said he was goi g to prescribe a medication, and off he went. The nurses were in a hurry too, to get out of the office and go home, The nurse called it into the wrong pharmacy, and when I finally got them to call it in to the right mail pharmacy, it was never processed because Advanced urology didn't answer my insurance request for the right firms, This place has been turned into Automation from the moment you walk in the door. Waiting over 2 hours for an appointment Dr said nothing. I had a secretary call me and told me i had cancer, not a Dr but a secretary, got a call later opps our fault you have no cancer. Still havent heard for Dr Tran. He is the worst Dr ever. CEOs of AUI just want profit no patient care anymore, just how much money can we get out of your insurance company. Dr Tran doesnt care about your health just when can he schedule your next treatment. They have scheduled me two appointments with him that i did not call them about i quit using them last year but i have gotten two appointments from them, it is an scam to get you to pay the cancel appointment fee. I couldn't even tell you about the quality of the care yet. I got here at 12:45 for a 1:15 appointment. ThenI was told my appointment was at 2;45. They just wanted me here early to complete paperwork. 4 signatures were needed. I sat in a chair in the lobby until after 3pm. All they did was move me to another chair in the back. Kevin the RN and all the other staff are extremely nice but the wait and consideration the facility has for its patients is unforgivable! Again very nice people but as a business I would not want to return unless I brought a laptop and a few movies. They are extremely slow. Expect to spend the whole day here. If you like wasting your time, go here. All I have gotten is excuses and it takes weeks to get appointments straight, always a run around on the phone to a voicemail that no one returns. Can't get insurance straight no matter how many times you correct them. Absolutely no technical expertise and lack of technology. Worst organized office, they can't get things correct, the Dr. did NOT spend more than 5 minutes with me, he checked me out, asked me about prescriptions & wrote me a prescription, I told him that I was a disabled VET. & that I need my prescription sent to the VA. hospital & he still sent it to the wrong place, he did NOT tell me what's my diagnosis or if I had to come back, he just left the exam room. I went to the checkout desk & checked out & they did NOT tell me if I had to return. Then on a Saturday, they sent me an e-mail stating that I have an appointment on a Tuesday AM, they did NOT call me to ask if it was alright if they could make an appointment for me or ask me at what time I could come in. NO concerns/NO respect/NO keeping you informed/NO asking you for considerations for advance appointments concerns. I am asking the V.A. to please send someplace else. The professionalism and caring in this facility is astounding, from the greeter, to the receptionist, the nurses, clinicians, and doctors, everyone was just amazing to me and my husband who has advanced dementia. He had a cystoscopy and a UDS and was treated kindly, gently, and respectfully by staff at all levels. More importantly, his problem was defined and treated successfully. We are so fortunate to have such an outstanding urology institute in Tallahassee. read more

SEUC is the best! The wait time there is minimal. The staff there are friendly, efficient, KIND and helpful. Dr. Bradford is great! He explains things well and takes time to listen and answer questions. His Nurses are Super too! My husband has been a patient there for years and has had procedures done there as well as general office visits at AUI. We would gladly recommend Southeastern Urological Center and AUI to anyone! read more

While the Doctor's know what they are doing, the appointment scheduling and bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. I arrived 20 minutes early on my first visit as asked. I filled out my paperwork and started my first round of waiting. After about 15 minutes past my appointment time I was brought to a second waiting room. 30 minutes after that I was finally brought back to a exam room after another 30 minutes I finally get to see the doctor. My doctor did not really care about my symptoms he just wanted to prescribe something. I was not impressed. Today I went back and it was more of the same but this time it took only 45 minutes after my appointment time to see the Doc. This is fast food medicine and you are a number with a wallet. After this appointment i am going to ask my primary to refer me to someone else. read more

There are more patients with problems than doctors, so sometimes there is a wait. But every interaction I have had with Southeastern Urological Center has been positive. I just was there and had a kidney stone removed and the professionalism is of the very highest order. Everyone is amazingly kind and compassionate. Their goal is to make you feel better. Yes, I wish they could see everyone right away and fix their problems, but that's not the real world any more. They have to prioritize and deal with the sickest patients first. The surgery center is always booked, so they can't just take you in and remove your stone. Sorry. I wish they could. But these are all great people and I am so very glad they are here in Tallahassee. Both my wife and I suffer from kidney stones and have been here many times and I have never had a bad experience. Dr. Sellinger is our doctor and he is terrific. Super professional and has a great bedside manner. Often it takes weeks or months to see specialists these days. Health care is complicated and as I wrote, there are more patients than doctors. So a short wait is better than a month. Once you are here you are treated extremely well, from the front desk on. I wish there were more doctors out there like Dr. Sellinger and more staff like those at Southeastern Urological Center. They have made our lives infinitely better when we have kidney stones. I'm sorry that others don't feel they were treated well. I cannot imagine that from this group of professionals. I am 67 and have seen a lot of doctors and nurses. I can say from experience that these are among the very best! read more

Waiting 3 hours to be seen even though you have an appointment? Not so cool. Doctors are good, but definitely the staff (some of them, not everyone) could use some lessons in politeness and manners with patients. One of the nurses told me that these wait times are normal. At least the doctor did take 45 minutes to talk to me. read more

Absolutely horrendous service. Judy and Tonya (spelling?) were both rude and inconsiderate, while offering no assistance with my problem. I was told I had 8 minutes to prove I had insurance or I would have to reschedule or pay up to $500 out of pocket to be seen. Even after my insurance called their office, and my copay was accepted, they would not admit that there had been a mistake. read more

I am suffering with Kidney Stones. Saw them last week for a ct. Back pain increased Friday called and nurse finally called me back and told me to take ibuprofen and use warm compresses. Sunday pain was so bad went to a local hospital and they gave me meds. Went to work yesterday and had to leave. Today is Tuesday and I have left messages four times and have not received a call back and now it's after hours. All the urologist in Tallahassee are in this same group. Stay away from this group. It is awful. The doctors might be good but their staff is ridiculous. It's a joke!!!!!!!! read more

It is SAD that the only urologists are at this place!!! The staff are rude, inconsiderate, insensitive and I could just o on and on. If you make an appointment for A doctor let me warn you you are STUCK with that doctor. And ask for a SECOND OPINION by another doctor in that facility don't bother. The staff will quickly tell you that the only way you can get a second opinion is to do a doctor change. Meaning your doctor and the other doctor both have to agree and then to think hey will be forth right in telling you anything that would be against what their "partner" says forget it! I was also told by staff a second opinion would be a waste of my time....REALLY!?! If you take any records from outside their facility thêy will throw it away so don't bother taking them any copies of test results. My best recommendation unfortunately is to go somewhere else even if you have to go out of town!!!! I just thought people needed to know. You should have the right to hoose your doctor and if you don't like the one you saw you should also have the right to choose a different one with NO HASSLE!! read more
