I've been coming here for a few years now for my annual eye exams! The doctor's are always very nice as well as the staff! There's lots of parking here and a nice waiting room. This time I saw Dr. Leach. He was great and recommended some supplements to help with my vision! I didn't have time during this appointment to look at frames, but they do have a nice selection. In the past I have purchased glasses from here, and it has always been a seamless experience. Definitely recommend this place for all of your ophthalmology needs! read more

I had such a great experience at Advanced Vision Achievement Center. From the start, Jennifer at the front desk was amazing. They were pretty booked out, but I had expressed how uncomfortable my eyes had been, and she went above and beyond to help. She alone made this place 5 stars. I met with Dr. Hardy, who was absolutely fantastic. The tests were so thorough, and she was incredibly knowledgeable while also being such a pleasure to talk to. Everyone I interacted with, from the front desk to the team doing the testing, was not only informative but also genuinely kind. When it came time to pick out my lenses, the experience was just as great. The woman who helped me was so patient and knowledgeable, making the whole process easy and enjoyable. This place really knows what they are doing. They take the time to create a plan that is specific to you, and the level of care in their testing was phenomenal. I am so appreciative they found out I have binocular vision dysfunction and that I finally have a plan in place. I am genuinely looking forward to feeling the improvement. 'm autistic, and going to the eye doctor can be challenging for me -- especially having to wait in the waiting room, which can feel overwhelming. A family friend referred us to Advanced Vision and Achievement Center, and I'm so glad they did. I see Dr. Neha Amin LaCorte, and she is excellent. I've had strabismus surgery both as a child and again more recently, and the doctors here clearly know what they're doing. Dr. LaCorte is knowledgeable, professional, and helped make the experience much more comfortable for me, even with my sensory sensitivities. I've also had to bring my glasses in a couple of times for adjustments, and every time, the optometrists and staff have been incredibly kind, professional, and efficient. I was also really impressed with the wide selection of glasses they offer -- there's something for every type of vision need and face shape. It made choosing new frames a much more enjoyable experience. I love Dr Amin and her staff. They are so knowledgeable, friendly and caring and explains things very well. They are very thorough and their excellent testing gives me confidence. I just called to see if they had any cancellations - so I could get in early for a Neuro Lense exam I made. The receptionist seemed not to know what I was talking about when I discussed neuro lenses. I was quoted at 230.00 for an exam (non medical) now she says it is $355.00 with all the tests. I asked why I was not quoted that. The receptionist does not seem to know what the prices are. I really want to go here to get my exam and lenses. But now I feel I can't trust them. read more

Best optometrist I have been to in a very long time and I have been wearing glasses for over 50 (gasp) years! I found her name through my insurance site for providers in my area and as I was not very happy with the optometrist I had seen previously, I wanted to make sure I read the reviews, if any, about Advanced Vision and Achievement Center. Let me tell you, when I read all the previous reviews on Dr. Amin and how great she was, I knew she was the one I wanted to check my eyes. I loved that you could make the appointment on Yelp! I searched for her available times matching my available times and I had to wait about 2 weeks for an appointment, but as this was just a check up, it was worth the wait! After I made the appointment online, I did get a call from the office verifying my appointment time and insurance. I asked if my eyes would be dilated at the appointment because if they were, then I would need to find someone to drive me and take me home because I know one shouldn't necessarily drive with dilated eyes. The office staff informed me that Dr. Amin has a test in her office that sees the whole eye without dilation, but it does cost $39 and is not covered by insurance. In more ways than one, this was worth it as it gave a very complete comprehensive picture of my eyes and also was something that could be attached to my records to be viewed on future visits. The day before the visit I got a text confirming the time of the visit and if I didn't cancel before 24 hours, I would be charged a $25 fee, which is reasonable in my opinion. Went to my appointment 15 minutes early, as requested, to check in. All the staff were very polite and professional. Dr. Amin was outstanding in her services. She clearly explained how my eyes looked, understood my concerns in the vision problems I was having, and why I was having those particular problems. Very thorough and professional! I had Cigna Vision at the time and they took that. They do say they take a lot of vision plans. I will return for future eye checks in the future! read more

To follow up we received a higher than expected bill, over $200. Which they claim is their minimum charge, something like $150 for the eye exam and a further 50 for the diffraction test, e.g, the national average is about 1/2 that and usually free if you buy glasses at the same time. It was claimed that this amount was made clear on several occasions to my wife, that's not the case as she'd have walked once hearing that. I let them know my reasoning for my complaint in this regard but it fell on deaf ears. Ok so we have she said, they said. I know we wouldn't pay over $200 for just an eye exam, no dilation and their suggestion that we'd knowingly do is utter garbage. The only charge mentioned would be that it's an additional $50 if she needed the dilation. It was also stated that since the bill had been adjudicated there was nothing they would, could do for us legally re the price. That I don't believe to be a supportable position. It's hard to swallow how helpful they claimed they were when I was party to some of the calls that they misrepresented reading the notes back to me. So while I'm glad other people get great customer service I count the weeks of us chasing them to find out about an order they never placed, the misrepresentation about them over informing us on more than one occasion re their standard costs. I haven't been to many eyeglass places, but it's definitely better than the places found at most malls. The doctor was knowledgeable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The selection is pretty good and they carry mostly high end glasses that are affordable with good insurance. The frames they carry are also very current, which is great if you're wanting a new look. I went in expecting to get the same regular frames I've had for years, but the staff was honest and patient in helping me explore new styles. When I was reluctant on my selections, they printed off a copy of my eye exam so I could check out other places around the area. Of course, I came back an hour later. read more

Combined with the staff and Kathy out front helping with getting the right frames for you the experience is just phenomenal. Dr. Amin and her team of technicians and assistants are by far thee best and knowledgeable in their field. Dr. Amin is our family optometrist. Early on, she's remained consistent with personable relationship and thorough exams about concerns or good news. Our current vision coverage is not covered by her office; however, managed to use our medical to get our visits covered. I go every year for an eye exam and this place is pretty awesome! The staff is super friendly and they go over each part of the exam with you. I love that I don't have to get my eyes dilated because they have the machine that can take a picture of the inside of the eye. The doctor was super friendly and went over all parts of my eye health with me. I will admit the eye wear selection was not a 5 star but in fairness I don't love glasses and mostly wear contacts anyway. Overall though I highly recommend this spot! read more

While I've only been once at the end of 2009, I loved this vision center. They carry high frames without the severe high cost, granted good insurance coverage is definitely needed. The service and the frame selection is phenomenal. Dr. Amin was very personable and actually listened to me during my visit. It broke my heart ,due to a change in employers and insurance, that I couldn't return. I suffered my yearly exams at Eyemasters. *shiver at the memory, review of THAT place to come* I've discovered that my new plan covers visits to her clinic and I am ecstatic! read more

Dr Amin is amazing! She is very personable and knowledgeable. Last optometrist I saw said that I needed progressive lenses but Dr Amin changed my prescription which works better for reading. A bit of advice, contact lenses are expensive there so go elsewhere after your fitting to get more contact lenses. read more

I have been looking for a place that does eye exams for young children and was not too far from my house. My eye doctor referred me to this office. I called on a Friday to set an appointment and asked if the center was opened on Saturdays. The person who answered the phone said they were opened on Saturdays and even set an appointment for me to bring my child in for the following day. So, Saturday morning we get there 15 minutes before our SCHEDULED appointment and the doors are locked!! We wait then drive around and then wait some more. We go back to the door and knock.....nothing! We even tried calling 10 times!! We rearranged our day and wasted an hour of time because this place was unprofessional enough to schedule an appointment with us then not bother to show up!! Their sign on the door said, "Saturdays by appt only", well that's a bunch of b.s. !! read more

I took my son this year for his annual checkup and was so glad I did. I searched for a new clinic this year, as the one we went to previously got the job done, but I got the sense she wasn't a big fan of kids. This year, I wished I'd found this clinic sooner! The doctor was so sweet and patient with my son as was the front office! As a mom, seeing someone approach my son with kindness and patience is one of the biggest things I look for. Dr. Amin and her assistant are great. I actually have recommended them to two people since my latest appointment. The doc knows her stuff and shares it in a way that I understood and could relate to. I saw my eyeball and learned that I have very healthy eyes. Nice to see someone who is knowledgeable and not trying to sell me something I don't need. Thieves! They are always trying to pressure a sale even if glasses are not necessary. Very expensive. Always adding tests that are out of pocket and unnecessary. My last visit I paid my co-pay with cash and stupidly didn't get a receipt. I then got a bill in the mail and when I called about it I was told "they balanced on the day of my visit." They stole my money and I had to pay my co-pay for the second time! Never going there again. read more

My husband booked an appointment here after coordinating with our insurance. He has issues with getting his contacts to fit correctly and needed a new specialist. I needed reading glasses, as, alas, I'm getting older. They were about an hour from our house but worth it. Their waiting room is large and clean, and had toys to keep my 3 year old happy. We didn't have to wait long to see the doctor, about 10 minutes, and the office staff was friendly. The doctor herself was sociable, knew her stuff, and didn't mind that I had two noisy kids with me during our appointments. I was able to choose my frames right there after my exam, and they took about a week to come in. My husband needed his contact rx tweaked a bit after wearing them for a few weeks, and they got him in right away and adjusted the prescription. This office is definitely out of our way, but I won't hesitate to drive back out for future eye care needs. read more
