Sorry this is so long, but this has been going on for 6 months now…read more I hired Andrew to refinish my claw foot tub. He was very friendly and when the job was done let me know if there were any problems to please contact him and he would take care of them. Unfortunately there is over-spray on all of the tile on the walls from about waist down. It looks like that overspray settled in the tub and left the finish in the tub rough as well-like almost sandpaper rough. The tub was refinished in April. Andrew came back at the end of May once when I was not there(door has a code to let contractors in) and said he "removed the nibs and touched up around the drain". The pictures below are after that. Still rough and overspray on the walls. The tub will need to be moved around to get to all the walls and clean the overspray, so I have it on a flat dolly on wheels to make it easy. He said he needs the tub hooked up to water and a drain to wet sand the tub. I told him I can do that in a few minutes, soon as the overspray is cleaned off of the walls. Lot's of phone calls and text messages later he did agree to come out again on September 3rd, but never showed up. He won't answer the phone, return my messages or respond to text messages. The tub is still very rough and will be a nightmare to clean if it's left like this, along with no so comfortable to sit in. The overspray on the walls is heavy, and will not wipe off. There is a small spot I scraped it off with a putty knife in the pictures below. With a buffer and 3m scrub pad I cleaned 1 tile, which took about 2 minutes. 3 tiles per sq foot, about 18 feet of wall, 3 feet high. That's 3 hours or more of buffing and scrubbing. I shouldn't have to do that. I've been very patient, and all I want is Andrew to fix this. I understand sometimes things go wrong. Just honor your word and fix your work. I'm now looking at having to hire another contractor to come fix this. I would still give Andrew a chance if he was willing but he won't communicate with me. This is now holding us up from moving into the house. The plumbers can't come out to install everything until this is resolved. Good luck if you use him and have a problem. He's not going to put any real effort into fixing it.
