I recently purchased 2 pairs of glasses. I had to ask the man at the front desk for glasses cases,for the cleaning cloth, a bag to carry it in which he didnt have. I commented that I had to ask for everything and he got threatening and potentially violent.i left. They got my prescription wrong but I can't go back and straighten it out. This guy is big and in his 30's and I'm 61.i have to eat the losses and go somewhere else. read more

Went here for years Dr was very nice but my most recent experience was awful. The woman at the front was so rude and disrespectful to me when I called to see why it was taking so long to get a replacement lens that had cracked for the second time and another pair of glasses. I asked for an apology and she proceeded to be rude again. I will never go back read more

Im very disappointed with my recent experience. I've been a patient for many years and have always appreciated the and care attention the doctor provides. However I'm upset with the lack of professionalism from the office staff. My appointment was canceled which I understand can happen but I was never notified? I only found out when I called because I hadn't received the usual confirmation text. Was I supposed to discover it was canceled when I arrived? There was also no apology. A different occasion I was told there was no appointments until a later date which online said otherwise... not sure. The guy either the glasses has made uncomfortable remarks as well different occasions. It's disheartening that long-time patients are treated this way. The office staff seem indifferent . if I could give this place no stars I would. the man and woman in there were very nasty when I asked questions to the point of me having to walk out. i would rather have bad vision then to walk into this place ever again. not helpful at all read more

Horrible selection. Been going there for years but this year the selection for my plan is the worst. Last year I picked a pair not in my plan $60 more this year $150-$175 more for almost the same pair !!! Selection needs to be updated to the 2020s.Why would i spend that on something that is usually free !!! Went to another optical place in Bellmore in my plan that had a huge selection of UPDATED glasses in my plan for free. I dont mind spendin extra to get what i want but for outdated frames. read more

Very Shady!!!!!! Now I see why they are 2.5 stars There's charges that they don't tell you upfront to bait you. They will start with a low number and they it keeps on going up as you go along. Once you agree, then you will get a call from them and say there's more charges that the lens company didn't tell them. So let me get this. You are in business for how many years and you don't know what the charges are and blame the lens company? I would list those charges over the years and when a customer comes, I will let them know so there's no surprises. Hard to believe I am your first customer that ordered that kind of service. They were shocked that I didn't agree to the additional charges. It's not the amount, it's the principle of business ethics. They said I can cancel the order so I did. And mind you, they didn't get to place the order so they have my money. So after I told them I am getting a second quote, now they said I can only get store credit. Store credit for something less than 2 weeks charge that the order didn't even get placed. Nice people. Very Nice doctor. Just shady business practices. I would still do business with them if they change their business practices. Too bad. Doctor was so nice. read more

I have been going here for five years. This visit was the first time that I had vision insurance and unfortunately, it will be my last visit. I picked out a pair of frames only to find out that they were charging me double the cost because I now have insurance! I discovered this when the owner and/or manager showed me the colors they offered for that particular frame on his computer, not realizing it said $155.00. When the women behind the desk added up the cost, she told me the frames were $300. When I explained that I saw the price on the computer, she went in the back to let him know I saw the price. She came back out and said no they are $300 (with an attitude) and the owner did not even bother to come out and explain why the price went up. I went to target immediately after and ordered the same glasses for the true price of $155. Needless to say, do not go here unless you want to pay double the price for your glasses and get take advantage of if you have insurance! What is the point of insurance if they are going to double the price of the glasses? It's a shame because the optometrist, Jaclyn Guida really is very nice and thorough. Read the reviews stay away from this place. I bought my glasses in December within 3 months the frame broke. They don't stand behind their product, it cost me $50 to get a new frame. Well the new frame lasted less than a week. Thankfully this time the frame replacement was free. So I guess the warranty is somewhere between one week and 3 months. Well tonight I see my lens is cracked. I'm 66 years old and I've been wearing glasses for 45 plus years and never have I had an issue with the glasses I've purchased. Don't waste your time. Rude and arrogant service. Tried to go here at 2:45 on a Saturday afternoon. Website and door sign says they close at 5 but they insisted they were closing in 10 minutes. We had the prescription in our hand and the frame we wanted to purchase. We just wanted to know if they had it and if they did we were ready to make a $400 purchase.. in 10 minutes.. they wouldn't even let us in even after we completed the health screening questions. Gave us every excuse possible to turn down a sale. Don't bother because they should be closed any day now. read more

Beware!! Insurance Fraud!! I ordered polycarbonate lenses, they added a charge for UV protection (comes standard with polycarbonate) after I paid, they gave me basic plastic lenses. Would refund me had to file a claim with my insurance and my credit card. Please find another doctor!! read more

The staff here has always been incredibly kind, and helpful. Dr. Guida is professional with terrific bedside manner. The office is a warm & friendly atmosphere. Great selection of frames and quick service whether I'm ordering contacts or getting lenses put in frames. Been coming here for years and I plan on keeping it that way. read more
