My family and I were stranded on the side of the 275S in Tampa Bay in a Budget rental car at 11:30pm on a Sunday night after having just flew in from Kansas City. The car's engine failed. Budge Roadside Assistance would not send us a tow (another story all together). We reached out to the Florida Highway Patrol who sent us Advantage Tow (Transport). Anthony G. from Truck 303 arrived and changed our entire night. He was very professional and understanding of our situation (just flew into Tampa Bay and now stranded on the side of the road in a rental car where the rental car company refused to send us a tow). He helped to lift our spirits and provided a few laughs along the way. Anthony G (Truck 303) was the only one who helped us that night. Very unprofessional company from the tow driver who was very rude at pick up and stated we didn't give him the keys to our car when WE DID and he lost because 11 days later we came to the yard to pick up the car and paid almost $700 they said there was no keys given to the driver . Manager, dispatcher both said there is nothing that can be done keys were not given to the driver at the time of pick up they clean their hands w that story and are not paying for something they lost . Rude , extremely disrespectful and threaten me. Parked his truck in the middle of the street and blocked residents from leaving while he held a conversation. As more residents lined up to leave the community including myself he continued his conversation blocking the entire street. He eventually went over to the truck and continued to strap down the vehicle as if he was annoyed we all were waiting. As he finally moved back I went around him as I had a doctors appointment . He yelled obscenities and said I will just hit your car. He then moved the truck in my direction and cut the engine off to continue to block the street while residents in the community were trying to leave. He caused such havoc that residents begin to come out of their homes including my son . Then proceeded to say what if I call you a NIGGER! He said the truck had cameras so I hope it was captured. Everyone in the community was in awe at his behavior , tone and racist remarks. I would hope this individual receives the help he needs . Prompt service for a tow. Only problems was drop off! Driver would not back onto grass to drop vehicle, something about owner not wanting to pay for anymore water pipe damage? Only needed back 2 wheels on edge of lawn to accomplish what I needed. So the vehicle was dropped down onto road facing wrong way of divided median! Told driver all we needed to do is turn it around and get it onto my lawn between sidewalk and road! Then a light bulb moment for him occurred, which turned out to be a back ache for me! Einstein must have been watching pumping iron earlier that evening because he thought we get my vehicle across the sidewalk onto my lawn. This of course didn't even come close to happening! The absolute WORST!!!! STAY AWAY!!! This company was provided by my insurance provider to tow my car after a tire blowout only to damage it further. The driver, forgot his name but he's the fat one with missing teeth, was too lazy to drive down to the next exit so instead he decides to drive down the embankment dragging my front bumper through the grass causing damage. I called my insurance company to report this and the tow company dodged their calls. When i personally got in touch with them and spoke to Mark, he denied any wrongdoing and basically said its my word against theirs and that they'll see me in court if need be and then proceeded to hang up in my ear. Wow! I couldn't believe it. This company is a joke. If you want a trustworthy company to get your car to its destination safely, I STRONGLY advise you call another tow company. read more

My insurance carrier and roadside assistance company, USAA had Advantage provide a tow when my truck failed to start in a Walmart parking lot. They immediately responded and agreed to do the pickup the following morning when my preferred auto repair shop (Morrisson's) would be open. Again confirmed the next morning and 20 minutes out so I could meet them. Did the hook-up quickly and efficiently despite cramped open space. Delivered without problem. Note however that they have moved to a South Manhattan address, still in S. Tampa. read more

This is a provider from my insurance company and hopefully not for long. Our vehicle is dsabled and needed to be towed to our local dealer for repair. Location of dealer is within 5 miles. Request was accepted by the transport company and set the expectation of a 90 minute window. As the pick up time approaches an update was sent stating a delay due to other calls, perhaps one's that payout more. I phoned the transport company and a person answered with a careless attitude and no empathy for a family in need. With some frustration I asked if there the delay would place us at the dealership prior to closing at 8pm. The gates close at 8pm and the vehicle would be left outside of the gate with no idea who has the keys. The person asked if I wanted to cancel the tow. I told them that I would be writing a review on my experience and before I could cancel they updated my wait time and added another hour. Having already waited an hour without an opportunity to call another tow service that would get the vehicle to the dealer on time, there was no other option but to cancel. This is our only vehicle and we are already having to deal with a lack of customer service on top of having a busted vehicle. Kids have no transportation now and it's definitely not the type of service I expected from a company that contracts for one of the largest insurance companies in the country. I will absolutely not recommend this company to any person that I come in contact with. read more

I had a guy come out today to help me bolt a skid plate back on that was hanging down. Simple fix, but I did not have the tools to do it myself. The guy was rude, and did not have the right tools either (SIMPLE BOLTS AND WASHERS)! My neighbor saw what was going on and gave him the washers. It took him about 15 minutes to put it back on, and when he was done, he rudely said "no tip?". I cannot believe how rude this was, to request a tip for doing something that is part of his JOB. He was sent out by AAA which I pay a membership fee for, for a reason. I am a college student working at a pizza restaurant and all I had was a $20 bill that was the total in tips I made the night prior. Now this rude man has my money because I felt extremely uncomfortable. I'm disgusted! read more

I had to pick my friend up because their car had to be towed, and the driver was extremely unprofessional when he showed up made it known that he was in a hurry so he could get home for the night, improperly hooked my friends car to pull it onto the truck and while pulling it, the hook slipped and the car slid right into mine. When rehooking and pulling it up a second time the driver had my friend get in the car while it's being pulled up. He had his wife (who was not an employee of the company) riding on his jobs with him. Being that it was raining, he did not want to use his phone as a light (this was at night) so that it did not get water damaged and insisted that my friend used his instead(you would think he would have a flashnight) When we get back to my friends house and he was dropping the car down, once again my friend had to get in the car to steer it down. If it wasnt for the owner being apologetic and handling the situation respectfully this would be a one star review. The owner was helpful,respectful and apologetic. I can understand mistakes happen. Appreciate the owner working with us and agreeing to cover any damages from his employees lack of care. I am satisfied with the outcome. read more

I'm sorry I have to give them a star. They refused my business. After my insurance company set up an appointment for them to tow my truck, I called 2 hours before the appointment to verify - Advantage Transport was supposed to call but didn't. The dispatcher berated me - and this is no hyperbole - for making an appointment with them when I was clearly outside their service zone. I attempted to explain the situation, and received the following response - "well, the appointment shouldn't have been made and I don't see us getting to you tonight. But don't call in the morning because we'll turn you down flat. Best I can say is we'll try to pick up your truck sometime." Customer service FAIL. Don't call them. read more

I know that the streets were flooded and I need a tow, but 12 hours later is still was a two hour wait to get a tow from them and my insurance company recommended, the lady I spoke with her tonight was very nice, but the guy that I spoke to in the morning sounded like he smoked some weed and had an I did not care attitude,they told me I can get pick up at 8:30 am - 9:00am and I wait for a hour still no tow truck,I call the tow company back and then the dispatcher told probably going to be a two hour wait. I'm giving them 2 starts because the driver came fast, that's it! The driver came to change a tire without a jack, without any tools what so ever! Omg! It was clear he only wanted to tow my truck and of course charge me for it $$$$. Beware! My insurace send another company and the guy was prepared, like he really like his job, air compressor, electric tools and a huge jack, just like I envisioned it was supposed to be. This company is scamming people. I paid $100 for a tow. When the man went to take my car off the truck he said he'd need another $100 cash. I said no so he took out a knife held it to my husband's throat and then proceeded to cut up the interior of my car with the knife. He then repeatedly dropped my car on the ground causing front end damage. I will be suing this company we called the police and this tow truck driver will be arrested according to the police due to the fact that my husband's stomach was bleeding from him holding the knife to his stomach as well as his throat. read more

AAA sent Advantage Transport to pick my vehicle to be towed to a dealership. When the driver (Joel) arrived within an hour from the initial call I was pleasantly surprised. He was extremely professional and courteous. He discovered the problem with my vehicle and was able to temporarily fix it so I would not have to be towed. I would highly recommend this company for any towing needs. They have moved to S, Manhattan Ave here in Tampa. read more
