    Great game!

Love this rink. Both grandsons play hockey here - professionally orchestrated, volunteer led, kids' hockey. Half and full court. The upstairs viewing areas and concessions are nice. The store has almost everything I've ever looked for. Open skate time is always a blast.

What a fabulous 4-rink skating facility! Ice hockey tournaments, freestyle skate, free skate, in house leagues....This place has it all! Downstairs is your typical snack bar. Upstairs you will find a full bar & restaurant. Great place to take the kids & for the parents to hang out too.

The facility is maintained by very good people. They have a excellent welcome area for the front desk, security patrols the grounds keeping everyone safe and the locker rooms are good, hot showers, they keep the place clean, maintenance staff is excellent. Always have a good visit when I'm in town here. I will return and I recommend.

AdventHealth Center Ice is an enormous ice sports facility with five rinks, concession stand, fitness center, pro shop, and restaurant/bar (Top Shelf). I most recently traveled here to watch a college hockey tournament. Everything ran smoothly, the ice maintenance staff kept the ice clean, and the Top Shelf staff were amazing keeping drinks filled and food served promptly. I appreciated their wonderful customer service, especially with it being a busy and crowded weekend.

This is by far the nicest ice rink in the Tampa Bay Area. Hands down. The amount of rinks alone means there is never a lack of rink time or rushing between games. The facilities are beautiful and so nicely kept up that it looks like it's brand new. The pro shop has everything you can possibly imagine and the staff is so nice and helpful. Coming from a different rink for a tournament, it's makes me envious that this isn't my home rink!

One of the best rinks in tampa. Who likes to bring their kids to hockey games and sit in the cold for hours???? Doesn't sound very appealing.. but with a full bar, decent food options and lots of viewing areas away from the cold. Makes hockey tournaments just that more enjoyable. There are several rinks located in here that offer, open skate, hockey practices, ice skating practices and learn to skate. Skate rental and a pro shop all located inside. They keep the place at a decent temperature as well and their ice is always well maintained. Don't forget to call and check for their open skate times and don't worry about lunch or dinner. The food at the grill is excellent and they have plenty of beer and drink options.

Great facility for ice skating. My girls wanted to skate in Tampa during their vacation, and we tried this place. Multiple full sized rinks, in nearly new facilities. Made our home ice rink look small and dated by comparison. Fee for open skate and rentals were 10 and 5, and the rental skates were still somewhat new. For beginners there are training sleds which you can hold on to while in the ice. Was able to get my ice skating adverse son on the ice as well. The highlight was being able to drop into see the USA women's Olympic hockey (and under 18) team in practice. We've never seen women fly so quick over ice. For my teen daughter who is hooked on hockey, this was the best thing that we could have stumbled onto. She was so happy, clapping and cheering.

Cool cold place. This center will be the largest in the Southeast United State. Man, women and children put on the skate to try the new ice rink. I was there the second day of opening. The restaurant is not ready yet. Public skate is started. The facility has four big ice rinks and one small skill set rinks. One of the big ice rink (Rink D) has 400 seat for audiences. This not typical mall skating rink which is not gear for ice hockey. The big rinks are equipped to NHL standards. Tip. Since they just open, all the figure skate rentals shoes are stiff on the fabric. Because all the rental skates are new and the fabric has not been worn and expanded. I have to go two shoe sizes up to feel comfortable. The best deal is to find four people go with you. Family pack of 4 with skate rentals is $40. Good deal. Addition people after that is $10. Some of the dry court actually can convert to basketball. They have indicated curling will be part of the facility and this will be introduced to the public. Excited. Never done curling before.

Packed crowd at the opening ceremonies for the sunshine cup on rink d at advent health center ice.

My home hockey rink. The youth travel hockey team, the Tampa bay crunch program is amazing! Be excited if you have an upcoming tournament here!

Best rink facility in Florida! Great restaurant, awesome views of the multiple rinks, and great teams. All around fun for the whole family.

Ask the Community - AdventHealth Center Ice

    How much does it cost?

Hi Elizabeth! Their public skate costs $10 for admission and an additional $5 for the skate rental. They also have the option to rent out skating aids for an additional $5.

What are the hours for public skating?

They are on the website. Best to look there since they change every now and then.

The only downside is that whole place can feel a little cramped, depending on how many people are there. If multiple birthday parties are going it can be hard to maneuver around in the non-skating area or to find a place to sit down. There is barely room for two people to walk abreast from the door to the skate rental area because you have to navigate your way through the tightly-spaced snack bar tables. There is no good out-of-the way spot to help a beginner. But they do have PVC "Skate Mates" for rent that kids can use like rolling walkers to help get the feel for it. Even the floor feels a little small, but it makes up for it in quality. My daughter, a beginner, got scared that people were whizzing by her too closely and some even bumped into her. She prefers the much larger, but substantially less classy, Skate Zone in Winter Haven for that reason alone. For all other purposes, Skate World is superior. Go on a slow day, and your experience will be darn near perfect. Go when it's busy, and you'll have to tolerate being in close quarters with a bunch of other people wisely looking for the same perfect experience there.

This is a good place for a birthday party…read more My daughter had a birthday party at United Skates, and I thought it was a pretty good experience, but I didn't like how disorganized the skate rentals were, and the metal detector at the entrance was a bit intimidating. This fall, we have been to two birthday parties at SkateWorld, and I think they were significantly superior to the party at United Skates. Better neighborhood (no metal detector), easy skate rentals, easier check in. Food was similarly bad (looking - I didn't taste), but there were more options to order if you wanted something other than pizza (they had wings, sandwich platters, etc.). If my daughter decides on a skating party in the future, we'll be coming to SkateWorld rather than returning to United Skates. My only concern is the parking situation. There's no problem for the Sunday parties, but on a Saturday, there really isn't enough parking for the venue capacity.

The instructor session is at very good time on Saturdays and Coach Joe is awesome instructor! The public sessions are long enough to get kids tired and adults take break in between skate runs.
