We have been coming to Center Ice since October 2024, and we enrolled our son in the Learn to Skate program when he was just 4 years old. Now, in May 2026, he has graduated from the program and moved on to Hockey 101 at age 5. We truly have nothing bad to say about the program or the coaches. They have always treated our son with love, patience, and respect. Even though there are many children in each session, the coaches consistently make an effort to provide one-on-one feedback to every child, regardless of skill level. They are kind, encouraging, and genuinely seem to love what they do. We are incredibly proud of how far our son has come, and so are his coaches. The program director, Vinny, has been especially wonderful. He is professional, caring, and so sweet with all the kids. What really stood out to us is that he remembered our son by name and even recalled when he first started the program. He was just as excited as we were when our son moved up to Hockey 101, which meant a lot to us as parents. The facilities are always clean, the rinks are very well maintained, and the overall environment feels welcoming and organized. The food is pretty good, and the snack bar is perfect for grabbing a quick bite or drink, although I do feel some items are a bit overpriced. The hockey shop has also been an amazing resource for us. The staff there are truly a delight. They are patient with our son, even when he gets easily distracted, and they never try to upsell unnecessary equipment. Instead, they work within your budget and genuinely try to help you find the best option possible. You can also tell they truly enjoy interacting with the kids. Since we were completely new to hockey when we started, they took the time to teach us how to lace skates properly, make sure equipment fit correctly, and they even taped our son's stick for us. Over time, we've started to feel a real sense of community at the rink, and a lot of that comes from the positive environment created by the skating program and staff. We have also enrolled our son in private one-on-one lessons, and Coach Ava has been a fantastic fit for him. She is kind, fun, professional, and wonderful with children. Overall, we are incredibly grateful for the positive experience our family has had at Center Ice. Watching our son grow in confidence and skill here has been really special for us. Great facility! Here several times for the pro shop ( Rinkside Sports), but first time to skate. Great ice ( hard for hockey, but I'm used to training on it so no complaints ( on both freestyle and public sessions, two different rinks). Yummy restaurant ( get the wings) and lots of viewing throughout to see the various rinks. Clean bathrooms, clean and well maintained general areas. Snack bar but I've honestly never purchased anything there. Reasonable prices too. read more

Took my daughter to a public skate on Saturday and was pleased with this facility. They do need more seating in the skate rental area but other than that everything else was great. Public skate is $11 for one hour which is really reasonable! I believe the skate rental is $7. I will definitely be back and would love to check out the weekend event where it's public skate for 2 hours with a live DJ! The rink is big and it wasn't over crowded which I also loved. read more

I came here for R&B on Ice and it was a really nice time! I hadn't been ice skating in yearssssss so it was definitely an adjustment. The music was lit and they provided hot cocoa as a thank you for their guest supporting the event. I stayed for about an hour then had to leave for my next event, but for the time I was there it was worth my while. I would recommend coming here. read more

They have a excellent welcome area for the front desk, security patrols the grounds keeping everyone safe and the locker rooms are good, hot showers, they keep the place clean, maintenance staff is excellent. AdventHealth Center Ice is an enormous ice sports facility with five rinks, concession stand, fitness center, pro shop, and restaurant/bar (Top Shelf). I most recently traveled here to watch a college hockey tournament. Everything ran smoothly, the ice maintenance staff kept the ice clean, and the Top Shelf staff were amazing keeping drinks filled and food served promptly. This is the largest ice facility in the Southeast! With over 150,000 square feet, our five-rink complex includes three North American standard National Hockey League (NHL) ice rinks, one Olympic/International standard ice rink, and one mini-rink. This is by far the nicest ice rink in the Tampa Bay Area. Hands down. The amount of rinks alone means there is never a lack of rink time or rushing between games. We came here for the 11/2 7:15-8:15 pm open skate for my daughter's birthday. When it turned 8:15, we were told to get off the ice. I went to help my friend's 4 year old who was having trouble skating. As I'm helping her the very rude, skating instructor, Noelle, told me "ma'am put her on the seal and go faster" I told her that that's what I was trying to do and that she didn't need to be rude about it. We continued to go back and forth until she said "You don't think you're in the wrong for being on the ice at 8:16?" Hello? I'm trying to get off and I would have already been well on my way if I didn't have to deal with her power trip. She was adamant that she wasn't being rude, however one of the employees overheard the conversation and apologized for her behavior. When I went to ask who to submit a complaint to, I explained what happened to the employee at the front desk. I learned that this is a common occurrence and that I'm not the first to complain. I also was told that there probably won't be any repercussions. She needs to be removed from staff if this is how she treats people. No common courtesy and no basic respect for people who are actually making an attempt to follow instructions. It's actually very disturbing the audacity and I hope that this is taken seriously. read more

One of the best rinks in tampa. Who likes to bring their kids to hockey games and sit in the cold for hours???? Doesn't sound very appealing.. but with a full bar, decent food options and lots of viewing areas away from the cold. Makes hockey tournaments just that more enjoyable. There are several rinks located in here that offer, open skate, hockey practices, ice skating practices and learn to skate. Skate rental and a pro shop all located inside. They keep the place at a decent temperature as well and their ice is always well maintained. Don't forget to call and check for their open skate times and don't worry about lunch or dinner. Great facility for ice skating. My girls wanted to skate in Tampa during their vacation, and we tried this place. Multiple full sized rinks, in nearly new facilities. Made our home ice rink look small and dated by comparison. Fee for open skate and rentals were 10 and 5, and the rental skates were still somewhat new. For beginners there are training sleds which you can hold on to while in the ice. Was able to get my ice skating adverse son on the ice as well. The highlight was being able to drop into see the USA women's Olympic hockey (and under 18) team in practice. We've never seen women fly so quick over ice. For my teen daughter who is hooked on hockey, this was the best thing that we could have stumbled onto. She was so happy, clapping and cheering. read more

Cool cold place. This center will be the largest in the Southeast United State. Man, women and children put on the skate to try the new ice rink. I was there the second day of opening. The restaurant is not ready yet. Public skate is started. The facility has four big ice rinks and one small skill set rinks. One of the big ice rink (Rink D) has 400 seat for audiences. This not typical mall skating rink which is not gear for ice hockey. The big rinks are equipped to NHL standards. Tip. Since they just open, all the figure skate rentals shoes are stiff on the fabric. Because all the rental skates are new and the fabric has not been worn and expanded. I have to go two shoe sizes up to feel comfortable. The best deal is to find four people go with you. Family pack of 4 with skate rentals is $40. Good deal. Addition people after that is $10. Some of the dry court actually can convert to basketball. They have indicated curling will be part of the facility and this will be introduced to the public. Excited. Beautiful ice complex but dirty with trash all over the bleachers smells like beer, women's bathroom is closed upstairs. We are here for a tournament they should have staffed up to keep up the demand. The Pro shop has a lot of choices/equipment and the staff is very knowledgeable. I came here on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's first game at 8:45 am and the bleacher floors were very dirty with popcorn, wrappers, and trash. We mentioned to the front desk staff that it was very dirty. They said they would clean up. Returned later that day, Saturday, for a 4:45 pm game and it was the same still dirty. Returned on Sunday morning for a 7:45 am game and still no change, the bleacher stands were still with trash and food on the floors. The bar located on the 2nd floor was clean and the staff was friendly. Offering bar bites, quesadillas, sandwiches, etc, full liquor bar. The bartender asks if you would like a double for a $1 extras equals a "yes please!" Our family was here to support our nephew so no matter the conditions we would have come but if I lived close they would need to clean things up a bit for a return visit. read more

Love this ice rink and love that they take great care of the community they are in. My nephews and niece live in Wesley Chapel and participate in Hockey lessons, skate lessons and open skate here all the time. Being the great Uncle I am, I love going and watching and supporting and have taken advantage of open skate a few times as well. The rink is awesome. They have 3 ice rinks inside and always tons of activities for people to do. They have multiple different types of classes you can sign up for and lessons to be apart of. The best is the free skate which is done several times a week. The staff that works here is great. They have a wonderful little concession stand that has treats for everyone! I have heard they have a great restaurant, but I have never been to it. This ice rink prior to COVID was having some kind of tournament every week and provided a lot to the local economy. I hope this comes back. With COVID they do require you to wear masks inside the arena if you are just a spectator. This is a great rink and a great place! read more

This is for the skate shop more than the overall place! This is real simple. Was able to get a pair of inline skates for $650 cheaper on line than in the skate shop! The same exact skates!! Even the staff tell you to go somewhere else because their prices are so ridiculous. Also why can't private skate lessons be held on a rink, like the small one next to the snack shack, instead of the rink used for open skate? My son has been coming here to learn how to play hockey for about a year and a half. He took Hockey 1 and Hockey 2 before moving over to Rec. If you are just starting out, meaning that you can skate but not very well, and you want to learn hockey, skip Learn to Skate and take Hockey 1. They focus mainly on skating technique and it's a little more fast paced. He started getting bored after Hockey 2 so we moved to Rec and the coaches and staff are amazing. It's a big investment of time and money, but so worth it. He loves it! We also come here for open skating as a family every now and then and it's a lot of fun. The place is always pretty packed, so if you do come, get there early because parking is really bad. There is a small lot in the front and a big lot in the back. If you park in the back you have to walk around the entire building where you pass a half dozen doors into the place that say "This is not an entrance." So, not all of it was well thought out. Overall, it's a great place to skate. It's becoming our second home on weekends!!! read more

STAFF: The c-level staff have put a bunch of fresh out of college people in senior positions who have zero life or business experience. Watch out specifically for their VP of Business Affairs-Morgan Novotny. Her inflated title has given her a complex to push around kids and guests, while visiting the rink. She will be the 20-something year old blonde most likely harassing children for being children. She is completely unprofessional, disrespectful, irate and down right mean. Keeping her in a senior level position will cause significant business repercussions in the future. VP's should model behavior for lower level staff. If this is the best leadership example center ice has, then we are all in trouble. This is a shame given how beautiful this facility is. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere read more

My daughter was on a Frozen kick. Out of the blue she said "Daddy, I want to ice skate." Now I thought this was a terrible idea. I mean I didn't skate until I was a whole lot older, what really could a four year old who had never skated before do? But, like any good dad would do, I took a look at where one could ice skate in the Tampa area. Wouldn't you know it, the day she made that request was also the day that the Florida Hospital Center Ice in Wesley Chapel was having a free open skate. Uh, okay, sign me up. I mean even if she absolutely hates ice skating, its free. We could leave in five minutes and it wouldn't bother me one bit. The Center Ice facility is gigantic. It has at least three full size ice rinks designed to NHL standards and one rink that is designed for Olympic standards. That means whether you play high school, pick up, club or Olympic hockey, this place would work. While I didn't tour the entire facility on my visit, I read (while waiting for our skates) that they also offer/will offer indoor soccer, basketball and lacrosse. The first thing we did upon arrival was check in and get our skates. The skate rental employees were very helpful because I had no idea what size skate my daughter needed. We tried on three different pairs before we found one that fit. The employee never once rolled her eyes or got annoyed, she just kept grabbing skates with a smile on her face. Once we were fitted with the appropriate skates, my daughter and I hit the ice. We skated around for a bit and then noticed that a lot of the small kids had these seal skaters that they could use to assist them. We went to the front desk and inquired about one but the man working there said they were all out. We skated around a bit longer until we happened across a family who was finished with theirs. Once we had the seal skater my daughter really took off. She could hold it to assist with her skating and, when she got tired, sit on it and have me push her around. We used the seal skater for the rest of the time we were there. Then we handed it off to another family looking for one and headed out. Florida Hospital Center Ice is a beautiful skating facility that offers something for the whole family. Everyone from experienced skaters (like myself) and the brand newbies (like my Frozen loving daughter) can find success there. They also run special events, like free public skating, that allow you to skate without going broke. read more

I have taken my granddaughter many times pre-Covid and now to Advent Health Center Ice. She loves ice skating though she could never get me on the ice (fear of breaking my hip). Before Covid the public skate was 2 hours, which was great. Now, their public skate is limited to 1 hour and you need to pre-buy your time spot, which is fine. I now enrolled my granddaughter in the skating school, which amazingly they carried out very well! I saw approximately 75 to 100 kids get out on the ice-all different levels (age 8 & under). They had many coaches/teachers and quickly scooped the kids from level to level and even on the first day were teaching them to skate backwards! I was completely impressed. The classes are for nine weeks and then she can bump on to the next level. I believe they are handling the Covid situation very well and it has limited the full potential of this ice skating rink. It is such a bonus to have one in Florida. read more

Pro shop service was top notch. I needed to leave the with a pair of skates (was urgent), specifically ones that fit well. Trevor made it happen. He was super helpful; knowledgable, friendly and patient. You could tell he really wanted to help me get good fitting skates. He definitely went the extra mile. I did a stick time a few days later and needed an adjustment. Trevor wasn't there, but the girl who helped me was caring and knowledge, just like Trevor. I also said some weird things here-and-there and it seemed to go over okay. They weren't zombies who don't socially interact. China virus has made things a whole lot more inconvenient but this is a first class arena. Clean, spacious, friendly staff. Pro shop is a little figure skating oriented but the sharpening was good. Nice ice. Been a customer for a year but had to catch up on reviews. This is the best arena in Florida, from my experience. Don't play hockey here. Spend your money in Brandon or Oldsmar. The refs suck. They don't call serious penalties where people get hurt and think they own the place when you speak up about it. You're not allowed to question anything or you'll get kicked out of the game. Misty, the woman up front who's in charge, does nothing when you tell her about their negligence. I informed her about a ref who was allowing guys to fight on the ice and she didn't blink. Sad to see such a nice rink managed without any consideration of the players who pay to be there. read more

This rink would be much better for adult hockey if they got rid of Darren. He is the reason that I stopped playing in Wesley Chapel and started playing on two teams in Brandon. It is sad, the rink has much more potential to be an even better rink... They just need to get rid of Darren. Maybe he needs to spend some time with Finney down in Brandon and see how to interact with your customers (the people PAYING to play hockey at your rink). It is quite ridiculous when you go to talk to him about anything league related and he says that he only speaks to the teams captain. I love the rink and would love to give it 5-stars. I have only had the time to check out the pro shop, and all I have to say is WOW! They have everything for figure skating, separate skates and blades, soakers, terry cloths, knee gel pads, dresses, jackets, pants, etc. It was actually easier for me to count what they did have than what they didn't. Really awesome! I also heard they have an off-ice training area and a gym. So many great amenities I've considered skating there, even though it's a bit more of a drive. read more

What a great place for kids, families and elite athletes to skate! I am so excited to have these wonderful ice skating rinks in my neighborhood. Some of the top Olympic ice skakers train here as well as the USA women's ice hockey team. I was fortunate enough to see them play here a week ago just before they head off to the Olympics. Right here, in Wesley Chapel! This is going to just add to the number of kids playing hockey in this area and the popularity of ice skating and hockey. In this state of mostly warm weather and outdoor activities, I think it's great that Wesley Chapel has added this rink to accommodate the interest of people of all ages. As the Lightning continue to do well this season, it is inspiring more kids to want to play hockey, boys and girls alike and now Wesley Chapel has the facility to accommodate everyone and they don't have to travel all the way to Oldsmar or Brandon. read more

This place is great! We are in upper levels snow balls learn to skate. It's well run, instructors are super nice, classes are 45 min altering play and instruction which is great for the short attention span of the little once. We tried another rink prior year and classes there were disorganized and kids ended up standing waiting turns for at least half of the lesson. Here everyone is skating the whole 45 min. Price could be a bit better or get a couple more public skates. One very important thing to note for which I'm taking away a star: make sure you ask for well sharpened skates if you use rentals. Twice I did a public skate and both times requested change. It's impossible to skate with dull blades, it's so much more harder to balance and glide and it is not at all fun. If you have your own skates, you should have a five star experience. read more
