I came here to get my son's bike tire worked on because every time we bought a new inner tube the tire went flat again. I have never really been to a bike store before so when I went on my own with my kids I was prepared to be embarrassed because of my lack of knowledge but that wasn't the case. I give this place five stars because everybody that works there is always super nice and there's free waffles and coffee every last Saturday of the month. It's also conveniently located off of the cross seminal Trail. So far I've gotten my break pads replaced here and I had a good experience. Greate Bike Shop! The staff is super friendly. Always willing to "talk shop" here! They carry Specialized and Giant brands (& others). The shop's stock has notably expanded in the recent year and now houses a professional bike fitter. Can't say enough about Adventure Cycling. Great place to do business. I am so glad that my husband and I stopped in Adventure Cycling! We were greeted as soon. As I opened the door by Kevin. Kevin was great! He inquired about what we were looking for. I explained that we are beginners and looking to get more active, take family rides, and get exercise. He suggested a couple styles and had us take test rides. When one didn't work he helped us find something else until we decided on our bikes. I went with the Giant Liv Flourish and my husband the men's model of the same bike. The one thing that made is choose this shop was their personality and knowledge! Kevin was honest about what he thought we needed and we did not feel like we were "just another sale." We Always needed a decent, HONEST, TRUST WORTHY and FAIR shop but it seemed winter springs lacked that until This shop opened and Yes im referencing over the last 14 years, not only is it a moments ride from the Cross Seminole trail, its centrally located in a neighborhood as well making it safe to ride to with sidewalks if needed. I purchased my first road bicycle from this shop 14 years ago. A giant TCR one silver and black. I have to admit to see how this shop has grown and the Hard working staffs efforts over these years flourish into a success does add a smile to my face. I have quite regularly purchased items from this shop for my Cervelo P2 and My giant mountain bike. The TCr has been retired after 14 years of good use in many circuits and half triathlons down in S FL. The customer service and knowledge base of their staff is profound. I always wind up with some new cool tip of a place to ride, or local meet ups with other MTB riders and its a welcoming environment from the time you walk in the door to the time you are out riding with some of the GUY's . I had an unexpected brake issue on my bike and took it to the closest bike shop, which happened to be Adventure Cycling. Both the guy at the front desk and the guy working in repairs were very friendly. As someone who knows next to nothing about bikes, I was extremely grateful to the repair guy who informed me that my brake issue was a matter of simple adjustments (which he did for me, free of charge, on the spot) and finished by offering to answer any questions I had. I was in need of a new bike and at first purchased a 200 dollar one from Walmart so I could ride with my son during the quarantine. I am use to indoor cycling 3 x per week, but they were closed. Well, after one ride I knew I had to spend more money and get a better bike. You get what you pay for. So I found this place. Ashley helped me find a beautiful bike around my price range. They had me come back the next day to make sure the head mechanic inspected it before I took it home, which I appreciated. Then when I purchased a car bike rack and they had me go to a car wash before it was installed so it would not scratch my paint. Again I really appreciated the honesty and great customer service. I am in sales also and found their style of service refreshing. I would highly recommend their shop. Also, the lifetime tune-up is a great perk! So this is my 2nd rating for these guys. New Info - I bought a second bike here recently. The service was as good as previously, and they really know their stuff. As I purchased a brand new bike, I was really pleased that Dave spent so much time and effort with my bike fitting. I was there probably an hour as I really am picky - and Dave was not fazed in the least, he had zero issue taking the time to make sure I was happy. During the fitment process I met the owner - who is a super nice guy - and two of their mechanics, who are also super nice, and really know their stuff. Not pushy, very informed, and willing to help. The mountain bike sat a little too long over the "winter break" and required a little bit of TLC. I initially needed the tires pumped with some air (misplaced the tire pump) and replace the chain since it had been rusted out - I wanted to go for a quick ride. They were able to take care of both items within 15-20 minutes and I was off on my ride!! Awesome! After my ride, I returned to drop off the bike for a general maintenance and tune up. The next day I get a call from the mechanic telling me what is up and what needs to be done! I appreciated the call and gave them the green light to do what was needed to be done. Picked up the bike a couple of days later and it was like new. Awesome staff! Friendly! Helpful! Efficient! Good at what they do!! read more

My favorite bike shop ever. Last time I got this level of service it was 1985 in Northern California...also at a small bike shop where the owner ran the place. Joe helped my wife discover the great fun of cycling through an upgrade to a modern women's Felt road bike (from her vintage 80's Ironman). I fell for the Bianchi roadie he had at the time. He works hard to have the kinds of bikes the people in the area need, from easy riding comfort/ hybrids to all out roadies. This is the first bike shop I have ever purchased from that went out of their way to make sure I had a proper fitting for the bike I bought from them. (I have cycled most of my life and have had a couple of dozen bikes). The service depart (Richard) is top notch, and have helped me work through some extensive upgrades to other bikes I have. He carries a full line of rider's snacks and sports drink mixes and is a welcome stop along the Cross Seminole Trail. All people, customers or not, are treated with respect to their level of interest and skills. Sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes to be helped- but it is worth the wait to have such a knowledgeable staff work with you. I know they would never sell you the wrong bike just to make a buck, they wouldn't feel right about it at all. That's more than can be said for most shops in the USA. Their prices range from beginner to all out pro types of bikes. In short, if you are interested in starting cycling, or getting back into it or upgrading....give them a shot, they'll make it worth your time! read more

I asked for a bicycle for my Birthday, and what I got, was much more than I could've ever imagined. We stopped by Adventure Cycling to inquire about child seats and trailers. Joe was phenomenal. Not only did we purchase my very first Elektra Townie 7D and Thule Bike Trailer, but I gained a very respected friendship with Joe and his staff. They are so incredibly thoughtful. And very patient with all the questions this concerned Mom had about the safety and benefits of our new trailer. We had such a wonderful experience there, I returned a month later and purchased my husband his Townie as well as a cruiser for our daughter. Joe and his staff never make you feel out of place. They are very educational and welcome all cyclists, regardless of your level. Their store is located just off the Seminole Cross Trail, and he welcomes you to cool off, refill your water bottle, or use the facilities. Went in the other day to ask a question about the Cross Seminole Trail. While waiting my turn after another customer, I noticed the professional, kind, and helpful service the customer received. When it was my turn, I received the same. The store has gone through some changes since I was last in. The store has expanded and it is now owned by one (Joe) of the two original owners. The store is close to the Cross Seminole Trail so it is in a perfect place to stop in and check out the goods. They don't advertise, so you'll hear about them only by word-of-mouth. read more

My husband had a flat on the bike trail. I picked him up and I took him into the closest bike shop to have it fixed so he could finish his ride. The guy who was at Adventure Cycles (shorter middle aged man with glasses) was NOT very friendly. He told my husband $6 for the tube and $10 to fix it. He also seemed as if he was in no mood to do it. My husband said, "Really? My bike shop doesn't charge that much when I'm buying the part from them". The man replied (with an attitude) "Well you don't have to pay me". He shrugged his shoulders, laughed and put his hands up in the air. Well, that annoyed my husband who said, "you know what... you're right" and started to walk out. The man than said, "good luck. We're the cheapest bike store around". Well, needless to say we went to our local bike shop, Velo Creek 5 miles away in Oviedo and the tire was changed for free. He actually spent $75 in there getting a small bike bag, extra tube, portable bike pump and a few other things. I'm also looking for a new bike and saw one I liked at Adventure Cycles, but we will not be purchasing one from them now due to the lack of customer service. The problem was NOT the $10 fee to change the tire. The issue was the attitude of the salesman in the store when asked a simple question. Maybe it was an off day, but regardless that was our 1st impression of this business. Bad attitudes and snarky remarks will not get you customers for the life of your business. read more

They completely wasted my time and money. I brought my bike in three weeks ago and asked for a tune up. It seemed like I was riding slower. The first thing they did was measure my chain and tell me I needed a new chain and set up. I reluctantly agreed. I confirmed they were tuning up my bike and paid them over $250 to do it. I had a race the following week..Slowest bike time in two years.. then did a long ride the following.. horrible time.. noticed my brakes rubbing in the rear of the bike. I went back to the bike shop the next day.. Last Sunday... Told them they just tuned it up and if they could double check the brakes, also the grips were peeling off if they could replace them. They said no problem and it should take a day. I told them they could take all week I just need it by next Saturday. I never got a call from them so I stopped by on Friday, a week almost after I dropped off the bike. The owner seemed surprised I was there. I said is my bike ready? They rolled my bike to me and flipped it over. The tech said there was rust on the brakes and he had to order the parts, and he might not even be able to order them... I asked which one? He said he didn't know because he didn't check yet. I asked why I wasn't called.. why my bike wasn't touched.. why were no parts even checked.. and most importantly.. why this was missed on my tune up three weeks earlier.. the way the tech spoke about the brakes.. it would be IMPOSSIBLE to miss this on a tune up. The tech got frustrated with me and said what does this have to do with the bike today... I was furious.. what do you mean? I just paid you all over 250 bucks for you to tell me that you missed something MAJOR on my bike and your asking me what that has to do with today??Oh one more point.. they peeled off all my grips.. so I had not even loose grips on my bike.. just metal. In my opinion.. they STOLE my money.. DID NOT do what they were supposed to do..and then had the balls to stand there and tell me they have no idea why they didn't call me for a week or make NO attempt to even try to fix the bike. On my way out the OWNER said to me.. what do I need to do to fix this.. I will tell you... GIve me back the OVER $250 you charged me earlier when you did NOT fix what I came in to ask you to fix. Your nothing but common criminals and should be ashamed of yourselves. read more
