I was looking for indoor cycle shoes, but their selection was very small, and the cheapest pair was $150. I was disappointed that a cycle shop had such a meager selection, AND was so expensive. I have had great experiences at this location. A couple months ago, I got a tune up on my bike and felt it was well done in a timely manner. This gave me the opportunity to talk to and meet the staff. They are knowledgeable and answered all my questions. When I picked it up, they explained what all they did. I fell/dropped my bike and when I picked it up, it was damaged. I took it in to get it fixed. They gave me an estimate and it was spot on. I even got the bike back sooner than I expected. We were looking for a bike rack in the Ormond Beach location. They called this location and confirmed that they had what we were looking for. We paid for the rack and drove over an hour to pick up our purchase. When we arrived, we realized that it was not the rack we wanted. The manager Felix was quick to call other locations to find what we were looking for and even had a member of his staff drive to pick it up and bring it back. The frustration that we had when we arrived was quickly turned into complete satisfaction. They have gained a lifetime customer for making this right. So happy! read more

I stopped at David's just to browse their selection, but Austin was so helpful and showed me a really nice Trek bike for my daughter for Christmas I couldn't pass it up. He explained the difference in build quality, their flat fix forever service and all the other maintenance services available. I can't wait to go back and pick out a new bike for myself and my wife, they even had the really cool ebikes that assist up to 30mph! This is a place you can feel good spending your money, the memories created are going to far outlast the bike itself. David's and their staff are top notch. read more

Very weird experience going into the shop this morning. Walked in and although the store was opened, the guy that works there tells me and my girl friend we're not allowed to walk around and look at Bike's because of the Corona Virus. To be clear, The store was completely opened, and there were Customers going in and out, so why weren't we allowed to look at Bikes in the Store and shop? We also explained that we're not just window shopping, we actually wanted to purchase two Bikes. We were BEYOND confused by this. In addition, he told us to go their website, and once we knew which Bike we wanted, then we were allowed to come back! We walked out and just walked over to Walmart and purchased our Bikes there. I would never come to David's again or recommend anyone to come here. read more

The staff here is amazing! They go above and beyond with all aspects. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I had an old bike and they made it run like new. When I had some very basic questions, they took the time to show me step by step how to properly operate all features of my bike. Big shoutout to Leo! Originally this wasn't my favorite bike store...I've been an avid Orange Cycle lover for ages - ok maybe more like 2 years but still. A few months ago I started showing up to David's more frequently cause it was the man's shop of choice. We started chatting it up with Brian there who is one of the coolest, down to earth, knowledgeable bike shop workers I've met. Plus he'll joke with you about ugly tri gear and chamois butter. I can honestly say David's has now won me. Their prices are reasonable. Their customer service is stellar. And they just re-did their store so there's more gear available for consumption :) read more

Staff is always super helpful. Products are by no means inexpensive, but you can sometimes get a great deal on clothing and equipment. I bring my bike here for all if it's needs. I purchased my shoes and pedals here and the team was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It's also located next to a Starbucks so if your repair or service will only take a few and you have time to kill you can get some coffee. read more

It's tough to review this store because I do, in general, like the David's World chain. It is just that this store is so unimpressive compared to their main Edgewater store. I guess if you are looking for something general and simple this store would work. But, if your looking for a variety of clothing or bikes skip this store and go to College Park. For instance, if you want some energy gels, socks or a water bottle for your bike come here. If your looking for shoes, clothing, or special gear go to the other location. They had an extremely limited selection of women's clothing and an even smaller amount of tri gear. The shoes they carry are primarily Shimano so you better hope Shimanos (that tend to run narrow) fit your feet. Unlike College Park they had no hats for women at all and no casual cycling clothing. Zippo. They do have a service department which would be convenient if you live in Altamonte. The girl that helped us was friendly but didn't strike me as very knowledgeable or much of a salesperson. Not a bad place in a pinch but I'd much prefer to make the drive to Orange Cycle or David's on Edgewater. Just yesterday we were at the Edgewater Orange Cycle and David's, and David himself helped us! read more

I typically buy used bikes of Craigslist and go here or to freelance bike mechanic for repairs and service. My experience has been hit or miss, but the work they do is typically good. Here's what I like: 1) They do excellent tune-ups. Got my wife's and my bike back nice and clean and running like new. A year later, my bike still rides like new. Best $60 or $65 per bike I ever spent. Here's what I don't like: 1) They do not service parts and push new parts instead. This has been my experience on two occasions with 2 different bikes. Freelance guy serviced the part and save me a lot of money and save me from having mis-matched parts on my bike. 2)They push service and part upgrades. 3) Limited customer service and service recovery. I bought a used bike for my son and brought it there for repairs and service. The 7th gear was not adjusted as smooth as I thought it should be, so even though I had the bike listed for sale on Craigslist (son didn't like it) I brought it back in for readjustment. Mechanic, was belittling and informed me that it was shifting fine, and I needed to apply more force when putting the grip shift into 7th gear. He made a few adjustments and told me to take it for a spin to test. Took it for a spin, all gears shifted worse now, and I broke the grip shift as I applied more force trying to get into 7th gear. Just my luck! Anyway, they do not sell grip shifters, so I'd have a different style on the right than left handle. Parts = $20, labor = $30. I ask for a concession on the labor, since the mechanic's advise was a major contributor. Was offered $10 off. Bottom line: Probably a good place for tune-ups, to go buy and service new bikes, but not a good spot if you ride older bikes. read more

David's World Cycle has always been a reliable shop for all my biking needs. Whether you want a simple bike to amble around town or a hard core, wind-cheating speed machine, this is your place. I bought a road bike here about 6 years ago and never looked back. Selling primarily Trek, Fisher, and Bontrager products, DWC doesn't offer a wide variety of bike brands. The ones that they do sell they know everything about. They specialize in cycling, so don't come in expecting a lot in the way of triathlete or running gear. All the staff here is fully trained and will be able to help you out with any questions you'd have about buying a new bike, maintaining the one you own, or upgrading to something a little speedier. Went to get my bike fixed worst experience every they chipped a couple of teeth on my brand new sprocket also they didnt inform me i needed a extra link on my chain or a new chain reason being i went from 44 to a 45 also put sprocket on back word worst 5 hours of my life I would reccommend power cycles up the block who i had to re-pay to get the job done proceed with caution (my husband's words fyi) read more

This is a great bike shop. The store is really clean and well organized. I was in there with my Mom shopping for the wife's birthday. Megan P. helped us and she was awesome! All the staff members are knowledgeable and know pretty much everything there is to know about bikes. They have a good bit of retail space, a huge area for repairing/putting together bikes, and this really cool special area in the back for Vision Quest Cycling. Vision Quest is like hardcore spinning and you can bring your own bike to put in their system. The prices are reasonable and they are in a great location. read more

Horrible business in my personal opinion. Staff: NICE Nice guy (Manager) and nice workers, but horrible business model and they did not even fix my bike. Quality of work: BAD So, I took my bike to get a flat and spoke fixed and while I was there I asked if they could align my handlebars as well, the worker said sure. It took 1.5 weeks to get my bike back and when I saw her for the first time I noticed they didn't even fix the handle bars. I said something and he did finally (the Manager was saying "oh it was not in the notes"). So, fine no problem, but then I ride my bike the first time and the tire goes flat again not even 10 miles down the road. It was a horrible experience. Price: $$$ (for nothing) The prices are outrageous: I paid $60 for a spoke and tune up and they COULD NOT EVEN DO IT CORRECTLY. NOT TO MENTION: when I went to pick my bike up the guy said "Oh I had to use some wheel liner, so it is going to be an extra $6.67!!!!!!!!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The flat was not even fixed. The spoke is the only thing that I paid for and got correctly done.(sorry as I was writing this review I got a little tight again). I had been searching online for weeks for an adapter bar for a women's bicycle. The kind that allows you to mount a women's bike to a car bicycle rack. You'd think this wouldn't be a difficult purchase considering ANY woman who wants to drive her bike around on a suspension rack would probably need one. Well, my Walmart purchase didn't fit, my Amazon purchase didn't fit, and I found zero adapter bars at Gander and Academy Sports. It seems obvious, but I just should have just gone to David's World Cycle first. I literally walked into the store, asked the person at the counter where the adapter bars where, measured the product, and purchased it in less than 10 minutes. They even allowed me to test it on my car rack first before I purchased it, so I could make sure it fit. Lo and behold, I got home and the adapter bar is a perfect fit for my women's mountain bike AND my car rack. My goal had been to "save" money by searching for the best deal online, but you can't beat the customer service and superior product selection that David's World Cycle had to offer. What had taken me 2 weeks to accomplish online, I did in 10 minutes with better results. AND it cost the same in-store as it did on Amazon. Thank you, David's World Cycle! They are the worst. Please don't be fooled and purchase a bike or have your bike serviced with Davids. Both of my friends had their bikes serviced with them and had issues as a result. I ignored their experience because of an emergency. What a HUGE mistake! They fixed my emergency, but caused a different problem and would. It resolve it because I did not purchase my bike from them. 900 dollar bike , 6 months later a pedal goes bad i think no problem. Wrong. I take my bike to Davids Cycle in Altamonte Sprgs on a thursday and drop it off. I was told we will have it ready for you by saturday, but maybe tomorrow. I returned on monday at noon to pick up my bike to go for a ride and they did not fix the pedal problem, nor did they have the bike tuned up. I inquire as to why isn't it fixed and the guy working there says its a process. We submitted a ticket and we are waiting for Trek to send us a pedal. WOW Really! What happened to saturday. Then they offer to SELL me pedals off the shelf. YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. 1500 dollar s I spend for one bike to ride and this is the way they service their customers, no thanks.
