The bus ride there was great as our guide was able to share many things with us in the surrounding area. It was also cool to cross state lines to Arizona and even have a time difference change. The actual ATV itself was maybe an hour long, which I wish it was a bit longer. This is my third ATV tour in the last year and I have to say that, I don't know if its because the group we went with was more experienced riders, but they rode so fast. So fast in fact that I fell off the ATV and tumbled onto the ground. I did appreciate that they had me riding up in the front and slowed down the pace a lot more, but I wish it was a bit slower so I could actually enjoy the desert views a bit more. I also thought the 10 minute break for pictures was not super necessary, 3 minutes would have been enough. Overall, great ATV tour when in Las Vegas. I would recommend not booking this place if this is your first time riding an ATV and are a bit nervous about the pace. Of course the guides will accommodate, but they will ride faster than normal.

Total time was probably 3.5 hrs and not 2-2.5 hrs like I was told when I was booking it because of all the wait. It was a thirty minute van ride from the strip Meetup point to the atv site and we were taught to drive the atv and Kobe was a great guide. Straight to the point. We did two test rounds and then went on the road. I have a very short thumb and so it was kind of tiring for my hands to drive the atv. But otherwise it was kind of fun. The day before the pick up of the jet skis we heard on the news that there was going to be very high winds on Friday and there was a high wind advisory. We attempted several calls and text messages but he never responded until 11pm at night by text. We never got our rental even though we planned far in advance with Ski Donkey, no return call or text at an appropriate time. We are very confused because we thought this was a good professional business according to the reviews we read on line, but we we're very wrong. We had family in from out of town that was looking forward to the jet ski rental. It was a complete let down. We had to rush that same day and book with Skiwi. Luckily Skiwi came thru for us and we were still able to entertain our family on their vacation. We did get our deposit back from Jon, but we won't ever do business here again. Call and then someone will call you back, never had anyone answer without them calling me back but they always call back. Super friendly, informative, and reassure you that you can do it. And the system keeps you informed of your reservation. Arrival: we arrived via Uber but it is confusing because they share a store front with a shop, so just look for the number on the building. Greeted immediately. Jeep: the drive from Las Vegas to the rock crawling location is a 1 hour drive and it can be a challenge to drive the jeep. Check your jeep because our sway bar was not attached and it was a very hard and dangerous but even on the return with the sway bar attached it is a hard drive. It is also very loud! You are yelling at each other driving to the destination. You take a stop at a store to air down your tires, use the bathroom that is your last opportunity. Destination: gorgeous! And you will have initial panic on your first rock crawling but Tim is very patient and guides you, just follow his instructions and you will be fine and have a great time. This involves learning how to drive the Jeep yourself, not just riding along as a spectator. If you're not a gear head, this may not be for you. Arrived at 7:05 a.m. at the designated pickup site. Tim provided a quick safety and liability briefing, and we headed out by 7:30. The drive from the shop to the Moapa valley area is about an hour. Driving a soft top heavily modified Jeep is not pleasurable. Our Jeep was not safe and impossible to control on the highway because (as we found out later) the staff had not secured the sway bars for on-road use. Tim was a great instructor. Learning to rock crawl is challenging but completely possible with a good instructor. We immediately tackled a seemingly impossible narrow rock canyon. The experience was exhilarating! After rock crawling, we also took on other terrain including very steep washouts, sand dunes, and a fun sandy hill climb. Overall duration: about 5 hours Value: For use of a heavily modified Jeep and instructor, $900 for two of us was reasonable. Gas station sandwiches and chips were included for a light lunch. Factors to consider before you book: (1) Plan on getting dirty and dusty and smelling like fuel by the end of the trip. (2) These Jeeps are horribly loud! We used a decibel meter app on our iPhones, and at highway speeds we consistently exceeded 105 decibels. We exposed to 100-105 decibel levels for the whole drive out and the return. At these levels, hearing damage is guaranteed. We recommend taking your own hearing protection.
