Adventure is the best deal in terms of boat storage while on vacation in the Destin area. It's very close to Crab Island and fishing. Access was easy for us when we needed the boat. We felt like our boat was secure in the locked yard. It got a little tight on packed days, but that's to be expected. The single launch isn't the greatest but it did the job. The bait & tackle store wasn't open until 8:30 on some days, which sucked for us when we wanted to fish. We ended up going to another marina for bait, ice, & fuel because it was before 7am. The porta potties are nasty & appeared clogged, but we waited to use some elsewhere. If you go with more than one vehicle or need to change your clothes, you'll need to park your vehicle at the building across the street on the other side of the bridge. They'll provide a code for the restroom/changing room. Our boat just picked us up at the docks over there. All in all, we'd definitely use Adventure again. read more

It was such an easy transaction and he went above and beyond to make sure we received the best deal and that we were comfortable with our decision. By far the worst business/repair place I've ever used. They not only caused damaged to my boat they lied about it and attempted to repair it using JB weld. My family and I rented one of their boats with the slides. The boat was okay no storage space and it was 380 for only four hours. Also as we were leaving the lady that work for the company was "helping" us push off the dock and when she did she said okay your good to go and sure enough the slide at the end of the boat hit the wood post that are in the water. This ended us scratching the slide. The scratch was not that bad a little buffer would fix it right up. They charged us 350 for that damn scratch. The owner we ended up talking to because the price was rediculous, was a bitch about the situation. This people make a killing of these boat rentals. Family are here on vacation trying to enjoy themselves and these these theives want to sit there and charge up the ass for the shit. I will never nor will everyone in my family. Come back here again. Adventure Marine helped me resolve an issue on my new mercury engines that others were only saying there is nothing they could do and charge me for it. I am very appreciative of them actually listening to my problem, letting me show them what the issue was and then making an effort to see that it got fixed quickly and professionally. I took my boat to Adventure Marine for bearing noise in the motor lower drive unit. They had it for several weeks and couldn't get the unit apart and had broken the propeller shaft carrier housing. I picked up the lower unit and was charged over $250.00 for labor. I got the unit apart and returned it and they supposedly replaced the bad parts for another $295.00. I put it back together and 10 minutes on the water, the water pump went out, returned to have them charge $55.00 to replace their bad part. Took the boat out for one day and lost all the oil from the lower unit, 27 oz. in the ocean. It was put together incorrectly. Took it to LL Marine in Defuniak Springs and paid $984.00 to fix Adventure Marines mistakes. If you need maintenance "take it somewhere else", Adventure does not back warranty and will not pay for any mistakes they make. LL Marine is outstanding !! read more

This company refuses to provide warranty coverage on a new boat. The new boat was delivered with electrical problems, and they are unwilling to correct the problems. They don't respond to phone or text messages. New customers beware, I would highly recommend avoiding the company. read more

Rented a pontoon boat this morning for a half day. The boat had mold everywhere and was still covered in sand. There were still trash from the previous user/day. The only positive thing was it was $50 cheaper to rent here in the island than in Destin and you get the rental for 5 hrs instead of 4 hrs. Other than that my family and I had a lot of fun even with a lot of boat traffic. Caught a few fish and enjoyed our time in the water. read more

Used their repair service two yrs ago. Their final bill was almost double what they estimated, i paid without comment. Then this year i had another outboard not running well, this dealer quoted me a flat charge off $800 to repair all. While there they called saying they found another item, but the good news was that it was under factory warranty,i said great, since they indicated no charge for this item. when i picked up boat the bill was aprox. $1700. Their comment was labor for warranty not free. Plus they broke top of engine cover in front of me, and they knew they did because they said "sorry"' but didnot offer to repair or replace and never did. I took my boat in for warranty work and asked them to look at an autopilot problem I was having with the steering. The mechanic took it out for a sea trial for 30 minutes after isolating the auto pilot from the steering. That involved disconnecting a few hyd lines and putting caps in there place. He said he had no issues after that. They completed the warranty work which they said was no charge. Then they gave me a bill for close to 500 dollars. I spoke with the service advisor Chase who lied every time he opened his mouth. He said they sea trialed it for a couple of hours which the mechanic already said was only 30 minutes. Then he said he also sea trialed it which was not true since he called in sick that day. They said there labor rate was 120 dollars and hour and I could have seen a couple of hours but not the bill I received I spoke with Steve which was the person I bought the boat from new a year before and he said they clean it and do other stuff to justify the bill. When I got the boat the boat was filthy the back seat that was removed for maintenance was laying on the floor. They did not finish putting it back together or clean the boat. When I towed the boat back to Panama city beach and put it the water I had no power to any of the equipment they had tripped a circuit breaker while doing the warranty work and did not check it when done. Next I went to launch the boat and had no keys they had removed them for what reason I don't know they claim to be a secure repair facility. Then they said they would mail them which they did but caused me a great deal of time and trouble. You would think that a company that you bought the boat from would treat its costumers with a different attitude and billing practices. I am going to buy a bigger boat but would not ever buy from them again nor would I recommend them to any one. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! read more

I am giving just 3 stars for temporary boat storage. If you leave your boat there the locals climb the fence and will go through and steal items . I know they have a sign that says not responsible for items left in boat, but come on if you pay this high price for storage they need to work on this problem. They said they had cameras and they would run the tapes, but they never got back to me on my stolen items, not even a call to tell me they could not find out anything. Going back next year to fish and will be there 30 days, I will find another storage solution. read more

We bought a boat at Adventure Marine a few months ago and we have had nothing but problems with it. We have now brought it back to them for the fourth time to fix the exact same issues. first it was the livewell, then the lowrance, then the gas gauge, then the water pump, then the overheat console started leaking, and to top it off We purchased brand new outriggers which of course broke the very first time we used them. The handles snapped right off. Three weeks ago we took it back in to get fixed AGAIN and had a oil change done. Well today they told me the did a full sservice on the motor and said it would be over $800. This is the straw that broke the camels back. I will be contacting my attorney and getting to the bottom of this. Looks like im not alone in this after reading the reviews on the web. Seems like they are scamming people and that is not cool in my book. read more
