Behind the counter we met Amanda who was incredibly kind and informative. Right away she helped us fill our tanks. I got to meet her son, who was incredibly adorable and who's spirit made our visit absolutely delightful. Thank you, Amanda for the help and hospitality. We look so forward to our dive tomorrow!

We…read morecame to Sand Hollow to dive and on my second dive, I set up my gear and noticed the tank was leaking. I figured it needed a new o-ring (2 of our other tanks did), so I took off my regulator to switch the o-rings out and noticed muddy junk all over the filter of my first stage (note the photos show all the junk in there after the scuba shop owner wiped the worst of the debris off with her finger). It was also all over the nozzle of the tank. I nearly ruined my dive. I was lucky a friend brought an extra tank I was able to borrow and my son sat the dive out so I used his regulator instead. When speaking to the shop owner about it, she refused to do anything about it. Now I have to pay someone another $150 to service it. She didn't even refund us the cost of the tank. I was beyond disappointed in her callousness and lack of responsibility. Also, the tank has no markings indicating inspections have been performed according to standards. I can only believe this shop is negligent. Our group had multiple complaints about the air tasting off or junk clinking around in the tanks. I would not trust this shop to treat you well as a customer, but most definitely, not with your life saving equipment. Bring your own tanks and gear!!

One thing to be aware of is that there is no parking at their shop, so you'll need to find nearby parking before heading over. The only feature I felt was missing was a cup holder. I noticed some other rental companies had them on their bikes, and it would have been helpful for holding my phone while stopping to take pictures along the way. That said, I really appreciated the large basket and the basket netting, which securely held my backpack throughout the ride. Overall, a great rental experience, and I would definitely rent from them again.

Shout out to Zion Guru for their excellent service, good equipment, and well-run system!…read moreWe rented the dry bib package on Memorial Day weekend. Knew the place was going to be packed so we went a day early and were able to pick up our equipment by 2pm the day before. (Side note: if you rent the dry bibs, be prepared for serious self-doubt when you stand in line for the shuttle and see hundreds of people around you without bibs. Take heart, the water is very cold even at this time of year, and people without bibs usually can't go as far or as deep in the water, so you'll be glad you have the bibs, although I kinda missed being able to feel the water on my legs! Also whether or not you need the bib depends on the time of day you plan to go. We got to Zion early in the morning, and made it to the Narrows around 10:30, so it was still kind of cool. By the time we came back, it was 2pm and the sun was hot so I could imagine not needing a bib then!) Pickup was pretty fast, after we signed in we were able to get our equipment right away and tried them out for size. My husband exchanged his shoes for a larger pair but I'd say they were pretty spot on with sizing for the rest of us! We were in and out the door in less than 30 mins. After returning the bibs, I realized that I might have left my sunglasses in one of the inside pockets, so I called them to check. Even though they were handling a crowd at the time, somebody (Michelle) still picked up the phone and went to check for me, and called me back to tell me what they found (which weren't my glasses), for which I was incredibly grateful. In the end I found the glasses in my car. Thank you Zion Guru for being such a stellar company that provides impeccable service and a memorable experience all around.

From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, he was fun, knowledgeable, confidence inspiring and very patient. We had little experience as a group and my son (13 years old) is very hesitant to do anything new, but Zach eased him in to repelling and built a rapport and connection to where he was able to overcome his fear. The scenery was beautiful, rugged but doable for all ages (youngest was 9) and this day was one of our absolute favorite of our entire Utah adventure. Absolutely highly recommended! Thank you, Zack!

From that first call, the customer service was excellent. The day before, Zack, our guide reached out directly to introduce himself, confirm our start time, and let us know exactly what to bring. From the moment we met him, Zack MADE the tour. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and attentive, literally anticipating questions my friend had before they even asked them, which instantly made them feel reassured and comfortable. Even though we switched tours last minute, Zack went above and beyond by giving us a taste of the rock climbing experience while still keeping things manageable and fun. He was super flexible in adapting the pace to what we were comfortable with, and I am so glad we ended up choosing canyoneering. It was the perfect balance of adventure, challenge, and fun without feeling overwhelming. To top it off, Zack told us about a local Peach Festival happening in town and even invited us to check it out, which was such a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel personal. Overall, this was one of the best tours I have ever been on. If it is your first time in Zion or you are unsure what to book, trust Rock Odysseys and ask for Zack if he is available. You will not regret it!
