Preceded to tell receptionist that i was dealing with that this was a poor spot for him to be in. Another receptionist, Olga, chimes in and says that WE are in a bad spot. I am new to the area and decided to go to doctors in the Advocate Medical Group. After going to several doctors, I was charged almost $400 for each of the doctors I have seen. These charges were never disclosed up front by either Advocate Medical Group or my insurance company. When I called Advocates billing department I was told there was nothing they can do. Great physicians and PA's! They couldn't be nicer or, at least in my case, have a better bedside manner. Due to a few issues I have, I'm there with regularity. I'm not going to say it's my favorite places to spend time but when you need to seek medical help, they're there for you. I've never had to wait for an appointment. Phone wait times of TWENTY MINUTES -I wish I were joking! I haven't gotten in to see my regular doc for a same day sick or even next day appointment in well over 3 years. The male NP, Brian?, is TERRIBLE! He didn't know his head from his arse about anything and prescribed Benadryl for me when I had bronchitis! Found that out overnight in the ER when I couldn't breathe from the infection and my asthma flaring. I'm seriously contemplating medical malpractice the way this place operates. I am very happy with Dr. Karesh and the medical staff. They have always been good to me and I trust them with my healthcare needs. HOWEVER.... the billing department is horrible. They don't listen. They wouldn't let me speak with a supervisor. It seems as if they had a script and would not deviate. I'm an old guy. I had my yearly physical. Everyone knows that those are covered by insurance. I have a decent Blue Cross policy. Advocate kept billing me $900.00. I made many phone calls. I remained polite but finally I filed a complaint with the Illinois Department of Insurance. I did it online and it was simple. Today they finally fixed the problem. Don't waste your time trying to reason with their business office. It's amazing how quickly things get fixed once the IDOI gets involved. If I didn't have such a good relationship with Dr. Karesh I wouldn't spend another cent there. read more

Review for Dr. Brian Bade at Advocate Dreyer: Dismissive, rude, argumentative, and overall incompetent. He makes no eye contact, constantly typing on his computer instead. Abrupt in his questioning, interruptive and unsympathetic. Refuses to prescribe any medication whether dealing with anxiety issues or vertigo/dizziness. I left my appointment with no treatment, no medication. He's not only inept in basic skill and intellect, but sorely lacking in perspective as well as life experience. Dr. Thomas is my absolute favorite doctor I've ever had and I've had quite a few! He's very comforting, friendly, knowledgeable and just a great guy! He makes sure that you are getting the best medicine for the cheapest price at the pharmacy and he will talk with you to make sure you're 100% comfortable with treatment methods. I called advocate to talk to a nurse about my medication. First off, their call center is a joke and then to top it off the nurse I spoke to treated me so disrespectfully. She asked me what was wrong and I was trying to explain but I was in such excruciating pain that It was hard for me to explain everything and gather my thoughts. As I'm explaining she tells me to "calm down" in the rudest way and tells me that I'm "all over the place". I don't understand why she said that & it wouldn't kill her to have sympathy for someone who is clearly in pain. The doctors here are not too bad, but nurses and staff are the rudest people on the planet. My husbands doctor left the practice and they didn't notify us. Called up for a refill on a rx that he needs to take daily to stay alive and still has been 2 weeks and they are just giving the run around and just uncaring. I really don't know who is worse the receptionist that answers the phone or the nurse who called back and acted like it was our fault the dr was gone. The receptionist is confrontational, ignorant and the worst human on the planet. I will never go back here for any reason, looking for a new practice. I am a physician in Naperville and am personally mortified by the level of care my mother- in- law is receiving from this uncaring and Hippocatic oath ignoring group of physicians. For the past 4 days my mother- in- law has been suffering from severe hip pain and an inability to walk. My wife has left messages with the PCP office asking for advice as to a course of action for the patient. Not only have no calls been returned but when calling the physician on call tonight she was told that nothing could be done and to just give her Tylenol. In fact, the physician on call had a horrendous attitude, did not even give her name to my wife and offered no sense of caring at all. No advice was given as to further follow up. As a physician I am completely embarrassed by this total level of incompetence and negligence. I would however like to thank Advocate Medical Group for giving me valuable insight into the incorrect manner of dealing with patients in my practice. read more

We've been very happy with Dr. Chorvat in pediatrics and Dr. Weber in family medicine. They are super helpful and supportive to our family. I never feel like they're rushing with us. We hardly ever have to wait any significant amount of time. It's so convenient to get labs and X-rays in the same building. The nurses and PAs are kind and cheerful. The pediatric nurses are very skilled at giving shots with minimal pain. read more

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE... I would give them 0 stars if that was an option...Worst place ever. First of all- have HORRIBLE customer service. I was sick and needed to be seen and I called in, and the lady LAUGHED at me on the phone and said there was no appointments available... and didn't even check the other locations. They also are the WORST at billing... I was JUST billed in 2015 for appointments i went to in 2014 and they were all lumped together, making the bill very large! Last of all- do NOT go there for medical advice, I never got a call with my test results, and they called me 6 months later to tell me they forgot... and I had something wrong... good thing it wasnt life threatening... who knows if they ever would have called. I've been going here for over 2 years now, and this place is phenomenal! Everyone from the doctors and nurses to the receptionists and support staff is very kind and caring. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes before I'm seen, even when making a last minute appointment. There's also a lab and X-ray on site, so I can get everything done at once. The people who draw blood have superior skills (they even drew blood from my then 4 year old WITHOUT him crying). Records are kept electronically, so they can easily access information (in case you forget something) and give you copies if you need to go to a specialist outside of the Dreyer network. My doctor is WONDERFUL and always answers my messages quickly. She has even called me at home to give me test results and takes time to explain them. I can't say enough good things about this place. I have never had a bad experience with anyone at Dreyer. Even the people who handle billing and insurance issues are nice! They are truly commited to stellar customer service. read more
