I got several bids from house cleaning businesses to clean our new home before moving in. ADW was local with the most affordable bid. The owner was friendly. Her bid was $200 less than others so I went with her. On the day of cleaning, the owner asked me what my priorities were and I told her I wanted cabinets and cupboards cleaned so I could put things away, floors and then windows. After about 2 hours of cleaning, the owner came to me and said I've almost used up the amount quoted on the bid and they had not cleaned everything. I was a little taken aback as I thought the bid was a final amount. Nevertheless I agreed to almost $200 more so that all cabinets and cupboards would be cleaned. At the end of the day, I realized there were a total of 4 people cleaning so I thought with all that people power my new home would be ready to move in. The following day I looked around the kitchen and realized one kitchen drawer had not been cleaned as it had dried on dark liquid in the bottom. Another cabinet had dried herbs and toothpicks. I was shocked so I looked around the rest is the house. Some of the windows blinds were cleaned, others were not, even in the same room. (I had not asked for blinds to be cleaned but the inconsistency made it confusing. ) Only one room had the window sills cleaned. Because the house had been empty for a while, dead flies were present in almost every window. There didn't appear to be consistency in the cleaning so I ultimately went through the house wiping out cabinets and windows. I sent the owner this information just for feedback, hoping she would appreciate receiving this feedback to improve services. Instead, I received an email telling me her move in bids are usually much higher and there were more cabinets that needed cleaning than she originally thought. (This is a 2200 sq. foot house) So no apology or acceptance of mistakes made. Very disappointing. I wanted to support a local business and had hoped it would be more responsive to feedback. The crew was very good. We had 4 cleanings that came in 36% over quoted price with no explanation. Numerous attempts to call went unreturned. I can't explain the overcharge. Didn't authorize anything but a flat rate. Credit card dispute team will decide. What a pain en el Como se llama. read more

Move out cleaning - 3 bedroom house (2 of the bedrooms used as offices) Issue #1: no real estimate given, despite taking my credit card info thus allowing her to charge really anything once the job was completed. The Cleaning was scheduled for 2pm. Amanda was hesitant to give time estimate not having seen the condition of our 3 bedroom house, but I was told by her "assistant" after I pressed for SOME kind of info that the cleaning could take 3-4 hours with two technicians. Issue #2: the 1st technician arrived at 2pm. While a sweet woman, she appeared to be high on meth and took about 2 hours to clean my stove. It was dirty - very dirty. But 2 hours on a 3-4 hour job? Too much. Issue #3: The 2nd technician, Amanda herself, arrived just before 6pm (yes - 4 HOURS LATE). Both technicians worked on the kitchen and great room area blinds for 2 hours. Also dirty. But come on. Issue #4: the night was getting very late and evening showers in preparation for a 4am wake up time were needed. We asked the technician to mop the bathroom floor (they were planning on doing all floors at the same time) and she did, but it didn't look like it because she didn't "use any chemicals" on the floor. Why not? Dirt and dust remained in the molding of the floor and along the baseboards. She asked if I wanted chemicals and since it was almost 11pm I said no. Didn't want to have her spend another hour on that floor. By the time they left, it was almost midnight. 16 MAN HOURS TO CLEAN THIS HOUSE. Overall Issue: while pretty much courteous and selectively meticulous, the awareness of our time was ignored. We lived in this house for a year and a half, two adults, a cat, and a baby, and it was NOT crazy dirty. We did come within $50 of what we said we wanted to spend which I appreciate. Cristina and Kacinda cleaned my daughter's apartment today for move-out. They showed up in a mask and wore it the entire time. They deep cleaned the kitchen, including inside and out all appliances, bathrooms, windows, floors, and laundry area! They were so nice and so amazingly efficient with time. I also have to say that Amanda was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I called her for pricing updates so I could add tasks (if they had time to do them). First, I do have to admit, our house was extremely dirty, from moving out etc & a large 2 story house. Her charges were I thought outrageously high at $60/hr per person (as told to me by my daughter who paid for it). She did an OK job cleaning our empty house for a terminal cleaning prior to the new owners moving in; But my biggest Irritation with this cleaning company was.... her communication skills were horrific! I asked numerous times for her to notify me when she arrived & when she left, & only once did it happen & that was an hour & a half later. She didn't show up the first day. Multiple contacts over a 3 day period were made with & to her by phone & texts with no response to most (98%) of them . The oven meat probes went missing. I'm not saying she or her staff took them; But, there was no effort to find & return them if they somehow got placed in with their cleaning supplies. Again no communication saying ...hey my staff & I looked thru our supplies & could not find them or yes we found them, & I'll drop them off. Nothing Nada Zilch, just cricket! I would definitely NOT recommend this cleaning company; unless you like exercises in frustration tolerance over horrible communications. read more
