Took my car in for tire inspection and possible alignment. Said nothing wrong when I went to pick it up I noticed my tire's looked low. Measured my tires they didn't even put air in my tires. Paid $70 for absolutely nothing. Poor service will not be going back read more

I worked in car dealerships for years so I'm a relatively good source of information when in comes to knowing when a facility has quality work and employees who actually care about their customers. I have been going to this place for years & years. Never been disappointed. They try to accommodate my work schedule. I have my tires under warranty at costco but can never get them to honor that warranty. How do you schedule leak by nail days ahead? AE crew fixed quickly. I not have time for coffee. I was referred by my oil change guys. I had an issue with the thermostat on my car (2010 Focus). I got there when they opened (730 am) and I was out by 1140 (am). Price was good for the fast service. I took my laptop to do work as I waited. Clean waiting room. Bathroom is clean. TV available to watch. Coffee and water is complimentary. They will transport you within a reasonable distance if you need to get somewhere. As a single woman, I did not feel like I was bamboozled. I will definitely go back when I need work done. I wound up picking this place to take my car to because it had very positive reviews in google. I am happy to say that so far, I agree with those reviews. I brought my car in for a noise in the rear wheel and broken A/C, and they called me this morning and spent 15 minutes on the phone with me explaining everything they had looked at and what was necessary to do, what might be necessary in 7-8k miles, and what was not important to fix at this time. The price was very fair for what we decided to do today, and they are rotating my tires as well for free (some might argue that this is not a big deal, but I'm sure there are places that wouldn't even bother to mention it) What I liked is that they worked to form a relationship with me - I'll bring my car back in a few months to see where the freon is leaking out of my A/C with the dye they're inserting today and I'll be back again in 7-8k miles to change my brake pads. To be fair, I have not actually PICKED UP my car yet, so if the repairs themselves somehow get totally frakked up, I'll edit the review later, but somehow I have the feeling everything is going to work well, and really I just liked their communication and willingness to explain everything to me in great detail. Editing to make this a five-star: I picked up my car and everything has been great so far. Going back in a month to check for the A/C leak, maybe I'll get my oil changes here while I'm at it! read more

My grandmother has been going to AE Auto Care for several years and each member of the staff have gone above and beyond standard service, with every single one of her visits. When she walks in the door, they greet her by name and treat her like they would their own family. Initially, she had gone to them for a second opinion for an expensive fix on her Cadillac. Come to find out, the place she had gone to beforehand was trying to charge her for something she didn't need. The staff let her know it was unnecessary and provided the services she actually needed. She now has a Lincoln and only uses AE Auto Care for any and all services she needs. I'm grateful for their honesty as my grandmother is not well-versed in the automotive world and they could over charge her for any of the services she requires, but they never have. They've gone so far as to ensure that anything she ever needs she gets the most fair price and will call around for parts to make it so. They are truly an establishment that concerns themselves with the customer first and that is why they have such an amazing reputation around the city. I trust that each time my grandmother goes in she is in the best hands in Livonia and the surrounding area. I found this auto repair on the recommendation of my oil change folks. I'm sorry to say I don't know anything about cars.....and mine has LOTS of mikes on it -- nearly 300,000!!! So it would be easy to find a lit if repairs to perform on it. Both times I have taken my car here, the staff have made appropriate recommendations, have advised me on things I do NOT need to repair and the repairs have been VERY reasonable. I have been taking my cars here for probably 10 years. When a car is brand new I figure the dealers might have the most up to date knowledge but after that I take them here whenever I have a problem. For about the last 7 years I take my my cars in once a year for an inspection. They have gained my trust and many times find no issues. Car broke down so I decided to try a place closer than my usual mechanic. I come back the next to see what they have found when in fact they couldn't locate the problem and only had a suggested solution which would take a few days to repair. I said I would rather take it to my mechanic I usually go to in which they said they were charging me a fee which wouldn't even go towards the repair even if I stayed at this location. They then lied and said they told me about the fee from the beginning which is completely untrue. The supervisor was condescending to me over the phone when I was asking questions as well. Took it to my mechanic and had the problem diagnosed in an hour and fixed by the next morning. read more

Not only did they not fix my problem of my car being loud the first time, but I tried to make an appointment Friday evening, and Saturday to be told the person making appointments is out? I get my car in and they finished the same day. I can imagine from them not taking any appointments for the entire weekend. Then I was charged again for labor. Then I asked to speak to a mechanic, and who would've guessed there was no mechanic there at the time. Just a terrible experience. read more

I was told by a transmission repair shop that I needed to have two of my solenoids in my transmission replaced and it would cost almost $700.00. I brought it to A E for a second opinion. I told them what I had found out and what they thought and if they could check it out. They said they could do it for $300.00. They took me in right on the spot so I dropped my vehicle off. They said it would only take about 2 hours so I waited. About 1 hour and 45 minutes later they said it was finished. They ended up charging me $350.00. I asked if the problem was fixed. They said they are not sure, all they did is replaced the parts. So kind of upset they did not diagnose the problem first, but on their behalf they did do what I asked quickly and for half the price of the other shop. read more
