I have been going to Certified fo over 30 years. The original owner Dan was a very personable and knowledgeable mechanic and businessman. After his passing the shop struggled some and focused more on its main commercial customer, but tried to take all customers in account. Today was my first encounter with the new owner Chris and it was FANTASTIC. I called a few days ago to schedule an oil change and he immediately offered a Saturday morning visit. I was there at 8AM and he met me right away. He easily navigated the computer to find the correct car I was bringing in, as I have 3, and got the preliminaries out of the way. Within minutes the car was in the service area and on the hoist. I stepped out on their "veranda", park bench and read my news ap. I have recently been to the Certified Auto Care Plymouth facility. My perception of this institution has changed since my last visit. I used to think of this place as a go-to for any issues related to brake calipers, rotors, pads, and even rotors. However, my recent interaction with this place has not been satisfactory. The customer-facing idiot tried to sweet-talk me into agreeing to a quote that I know for a fact was too highly priced. I researched part numbers that they provide on their quotes, and found them to be way cheaper (in O'Reilly Auto Parts, AutoZone, etc.) than what this institution asked for. They won't even let me ship the parts over to them so that they only charge me for labor. Bastards! Please do your research before you engage in any business with this institution. Ask for a quote with part numbers. Research the parts in other places. Check how much they charge you for labor. Do not let these idiots swindle you. They think they are smart. Had a good experience here. Felt honest and was able to get repair to A/C on our 2004 Honda Pilot earlier than expected.

My AC went out last summer, but I am planning a cross country trip this summer, so AC will be needed. I called at 10 am on a Saturday, arrived at 11:30 am, and was finished by 2:00 pm. As a woman, you hear stories about mechanics taking advantage of you and price gauging. I had to have my condenser and another part replaced; I was shown where the Freon was leaking by the mechanic. I was quoted a fair price. I was not talked down to and I my SUV now has ice cold AC! These guys were the best! I definitely will be go there for any future repairs. read more

Not much to say about this place. The service sucked. They took forever to fix my car. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I took my car in for service, they fixed rear brakes and heat which cost me close to $600 - have had it back TWICE (one the very next day because brakes still having issues AND heat still not working and the second time the heat still not working). Well - even after two return visits STILL NO HEAT! Save your money, go somewhere else in the first place. read more
