If I could give this place a negative rating, I would!! My husband came here almost a month ago because he had numbness and tingling with pain in his arm and two fingers. The doctor did not do any kind of physical exam, asked a few ridiculous questions, told him to take a multi vitamin and rest and sent him on his way!!! After doing my own research, I was able to determine it was more than likely the ulnar nerve being compressed some how and got him in to see a Neurologist for an EMG nerve test!!! My fiance and I got covid testing here. It was quick, the results were back relatively quick, and it was a seamless procedure. But my fiance came back for a DOT physical and they totally screwed him over! They promised to send the required form to the DMV and never did, so now he can't update his commercial driving license and can't go back to work. I have been to Doctors Express a few times now and am so pleased with the level of care I received. I found myself in a gap between insurance with my job transition, and of course that's when medical issues arise! I was desperately trying to avoid the cattle-call of a free clinic, and was so grateful to have stumbled upon Doctors Express. Their website is easy to use, appointments are readily available, and their price structure is clearly laid out. I was seen by Dr. Singh and he was professional, straight forward, and helpful in resolving my issue. We even managed to share some laughs and lighthearted conversation in the midst of what was kind of a stressful medical situation for me. In my subsequent / follow-up appointments, I have continued to be impressed with the reception staff, triage nurses, medical assistants, and Dr. Singh. As a side-note: I cannot speak on using medical insurance with this business, as I was a self-paying patient. However, I was completely satisfied with the cost / value ratio. read more

Our family went to get Covic 19 testings done last Friday. At the time, I was told to wait for maximum 2 to 3 days and we may even get results Monday. We waited and waited. I called yesterday (Tuesday) for results and the clerk told me it takes 3-5 workings. days. A friend took the test yesterday elsewhere and received her results already. Drove up to the drive up COVID-19 testing over two weeks ago, filled out all the paperwork waited got called up and took the test. Was told I would have my results in 3-5 business days over 2 weeks later and I just got a email saying my test was NOT tested for COVID and if I have any issues go to emergency room. Is this a joke? I would give this place -10 stars if I could. THEY ARE NOT CONTRACTED WITH ANY INSURANCES! They do not tell you nor is any insurance info on their website (if it is, its not easily findable). I know it's ultimately up to the patient to check if a provider is in network but at no point did they indicate at all that they bill out of network. Highly unethical. We also didn't get a chance to ask anyone as we were asked to stay in the car and didn't get to speak with anyone at the front for clarification. We only saw the provider who obviously didn't care about front desk admin items. My wife and I are anticipating a bill for 1800 dollars for basically a swab, some questions and prescribed medication. I'll update when I receive a statement from the office but my EOB is suggesting I should anticipate a $900 bill. Total rip-off. Also We're apparently being charged for an outpatient visit and outpatient care, separate charges at $300+ for each. Do yourself a favor and go visit a more modern urgent care facility like carbon health. Higher quality company with better transparency than these jokers. read more

Both the pharmacist and I had to repeatedly call them before they finally sent the RX over. Pharmacist was appalled by their incompetence. Steven pulled a couple times on my leg then put me into a stretch and asked if he found the spot. He did. He then taught me a stretch that targets the muscle. Genius!! Came in for an eczema breakout. The whole trip from check in to check out took less than an hr. The PA was nice and interactive. She listened to what I have to say before offering advice. On the plus side she asked questions about if my diet had changed etc ttying to figure our the cause. I ended up getting an injection right there. I came here three years ago because I had gotten a virus. When my lungs started crackling, I knew it was time to get on antibiotics because I was getting pneumonia. The young kid in the doctors coat told me that my lungs were fine and that I had a sinus infection, even though he swabbed my nose, and the Q-tip came out dry. He was rude and condescending... just like the front office staff. I swore I would never come back here again. But I went back just a few days ago. This time everything was fine, the front office was nice, the triage nurse was great and I was happy with my service. Fast forward to today when the office personnel was different. I got a young girl that was just straight up rude and acted like I was bothering her. She rudely told me to fill out a piece of paper, but when I asked for a clean pen, she once again acted like I was bothering her... So I filled out the paper on the clipboard and simply dropped it on the counter. Well, Evidently she didn't like the way that I dropped it and told people that I threw it at her and then started yelling at me in front of the other person that was in the waiting room, clearly and entitled child who acted childish and ridiculous. Absolutely, no manners and no front office skills or respect for others. Im not poor, i did t go there because i cant afford a real doctor, but even if i was poor, thats no reason to look down on people. The first time I ever came here was about 10 years ago, and this place used to be packed with people! It used to be so busy but now I can see why nobody wants to go there anymore. When people aren't feeling good they don't want to be treated like shit. You don't have to kiss my ass, but you do have to treat me with common decency. I don't know whatever happened to the young guy in the doctors coat but for the most part, The other doctors here are very nice, and a lot of the staff is also very nice, so I don't want to give the impression that everybody here is nasty. just be prepared that you may not always get somebody nice when you come here. read more

I was misdiagnosed by Parmjit Singh on 10/31/17. I had pain near my belly button after 7-days antibiotic treatment he prescribed me on 10/15/17 from diarrhea. Parmjit Singh didn't examined me with fingers only with stethoscope. He didn't make any tests. He said it was normal and it was gas. After 2,5 weeks of the same pain in abdomen I had to rush to ER (Sequoia Hospital). They made fecal test and it turned out I had very serious and life threading infection - Clostridium Difficile and Pseudo-membranous colitis very likely because of previous Dr. Parmjit Singh's antibiotic treatment. Even now during my current treatment for Clostridium Difficile I don't know if I will feel well again. This bacteria is potentially lethal. Definitely Dr. Parmjit Singh is negligent, incompetent and worth to be sued! Don't waste your time and especially health with Dr. Parmjit Singh! read more

Quick appointment (walk-ins) with doctor (thanks a lot!) and gave list of tests/immunizations that are required, and either I can get it done with them (they dont take insurance) or I can get it done with my primary care (via insurance) and share the results. once all test-results from my medicals was shared, they took few days to review and complete forms as they are to be sent along with a copy of all forms for my reference. Just DO NOT go to this place. The doctor is so unprofessional and has no medical experience at all. Here is my experience. I had an ear pain, and I went there. The doctor checked my ear and told me that I lost my ear drum completely. He suggested me to see an ENT specialist, and gave me a referral to some hospital in Oakland. I tried to make appointment with the specialist, but the hospital told me they haven't received the referral yet. And I called back to the AFC Urgent Care for several times, at the end, I just could not make the appointment. Anyway, I went to Stanford Health Care later. The shocking fact is I didn't lose my ear drum!!! Now, I am suspecting that the AFC Urgent Care and the Oakland hospital might even have some dirty deals. read more

Today I went to this clinic on Stevenson Blvd. The reason for the low rating had to do with the insurances and general feel that I had while in the front office. I have Medicare A/B and Blue Shield PPO. Rarely have I had to be a patient in a clinic and fortunately am healthy. The front office staff person asked if I carried insurance and i said yes. She then made copies of the cards.. I was filling out the patient information in the waiting room. The TV screen had a welcome greeting and introductions of the physicians. As I was listening, my gut just told me that something was "off" with this clinic. After completing the paperwork, I asked the front office about the billing and if the providers were subscribers for Medicare. She said no--The entire office is billed out of network. I asked what would happen if a potential patient had no insurance. She said they would have to pay $199 before being seen. I paid my insurance premiums each month and do not want to be dealing with an out of network charge. I then decided to leave the clinic and she shredded my insurance card copies in front of me. The reason I went there was because my PCP whom I have seen for 20 years was out of his clinic due to a family emergency and I had a urinary tract infection. I am a retired RN and worked in a clinic in the past. I felt that this clinic is in it for the money and can see how a patient could easily be taken if he/she is not familiar with how the insurances work, AFC wants to charge their own high fees and not be accountable to insurance reimbursements/contracts or denial claims, Run do not walk away from this place STAT read more

I brought two of my sons here in April 2021 for sports physicals, since Kaiser's appointments were too far out. The high schools decided rather quickly they would have a partial basketball season and they needed physicals to play. The initial visit went well. Fast forward to the present day, my same son needed a sports physical to start the college basketball program however since he had one just a few months ago I figured the clinic would complete the form with no issues. That is not the case, they said I would need to pay another $79 for a new physical. I explained that with Kaiser you have one sports physical per year and when you need a form completed you drop it off and the dr. fills it out and you pick it up when it is done. All 10 of my kids play sports year-round and whether it is for elementary, jr. high, high school, AAU we are never told by Kaiser or any other clinic that we need to have a new physical within the year period. This place simply wants to take your money. There are better urgent care places if you need a sports physical and can't get in to see your primary care physician due to the long wait I encourage you to look elsewhere. read more
